I made a character from a book I like that's renowned for his barbarism and mercilessness. A magick archer is also less satisfying than doing that charged slash and launching a wave of enemies into the air. FUCK I love this game.

Mouse and Keyboard bros, have you changed your key config?

I've been thinking about using one of the two mouse side buttons for toggle bow mode, but using those for the two sets of special skills might be better (and a quick tab on those changes the melee/bow mode too). Really struggling to find something fully comfortable. I just don't want to give up aiming with the mouse (might mostly be a Strider issue).

If you really want more skills before you level, you get more relatively Discipline (skill) Points if you gain xp in small chunks.

So weak enemies like goblins and wolves (which can be found in abundance around Gran Soren) have a higher DP/Exp ratio.

Pro tip from someone who played at least 500+ hours of this game on ps3.

Fighter is a very good class despite it being a starter class and i can whole say it's WAY better than a warrior could ever be. it's my favorite. it's great for player characters is personally i think it's the best go to option for

if you're playing a warrior please reconsider. changing your vocation to fighter when you reach the super lategame content (like dark arisen). Your limitation to only 3 skills while being super slow and having almost no defense really works against you. i mean i know getting off a well timed arc of deliverance feels great but you're really gimping yourself when you play as one. i mean it's up to you how you want to play the game though. if you are really dedicated to the style of warrior you could get through anything but just know that there are better options

Anything with Nexus or Guardian, anything with acquisitor primary, anything without a second inclination listed (that means that two are tied for secondary, so they don't display) because it could be guardian or nexus, and scather on mage/sorc/ranger. Most people won't touch warriors they don't know.

As far as player pawns go, I only look for optimal setups, but with the pre-made ones you have to be a bit more lenient.

By pivoting to Ranger, you forfeit a lot of the climbing onto enemies mechanic. I mean you can still, but you are much more valuable on the outer rim of the battle, taking pot shots at the enemies with your bow and arrows. Assassin is much more at home climbing on shit, but they're less focused on the bow. Strider is sort of in between the two, so just choose if you have a favorite style. If not, you can definitely take a basic class like Strider to the end of the game.

People probably have, it's just that capcom can't do anything right and fucked up the Pawn system. We don't get any notifications or gifts or rift crystals that they have been used. The only real indicator is if you go into your Pawns status page, and it has knowledge of unknown quests or enemies. Clearly it did not learn that with you, because then it would be known quests and enemies.

Where's a good place to grind for characters in the high twenties? I have a fair amount of quests to go into bandit country. Every time I head out there I encounter one of those "slightly more armored" assholes who slap my shit every time. I literally just quit because this fucker just 1hko-ed my level 27 character with one swift swing of his broadsword.

It's not like I have shitty gear either. For whatever reason I had highly over powered gear waiting in my storage when I got to Grand Soren. I'm gonna guess someone REALLY liked my pawn.
