Besides the G-Buster, what are some good weapons for a Level 30 Skell?
>Beginning of chapter 6
>Blade rank 10
>Elma, Lin and Lao max affinity
>Gwin, and Alexa 4 heart affinity
>Everybody else 2-3 heart affinity
>Already have Boze, Phog, Alexa and Hope on my team
Get on my level plebs.
So I got into this game and I'm in chapter 6 and I still don't know what the fuck is going on.
>don't get probes and how to maximize gains
>just spam arts until soul voices appear
>the fuck does overdrive do
>I only use the gear that gets me more blue numbers on the stats.
Still, this shit is really fucking enjoyable.
>finally hit lvl 60
>want to get ARES 70
>cant find where the fuck im supposed to unlock the schematic
>look at all the materials online
>TIME ATTACK MISSIONS FROM DLC CHARACTERS
>go to store
WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE TIME ATTACK MISSIONS??? Who are these DLC characers i cant find?
am i supposed to finish chapter 12?
Unless you live in Japan and got the game last year you got the dlc characters for free by just owning the game. I don't know any more than that though I've yet to even get the starter skell.
Level 60 skells become available after you complete the main story (Chapter 12). You don't need blueprints for them, they'll just be unlocked automatically.
The hidden skells do require blueprints. There are three of them, and they're obtained by completing Alexa, HB, and Boze's final affinity missions.
Usually most of that shit is answered in the paste bin at the general but i'll try:
>don't get probes and how to maximize gains
Every time you unlock a node on the map, check what it's good for, if it have scenery locations then research probe. If it have good production rank then mining probes.
Essentially you want to try and chain probes with the EXACT SAME NAME to get production boost and maximum gains. That will be up to you to decide on how you manage the probes or probe chains. I spend more time with this shit almost as much as playing the actual game. But man nothing beats seeing the dosh roll in when you get it right.
>just spam arts until soul voices appear
There are conditions that have a chance of triggering soul voices from each character. You can check that shit out in the menu to see what you can do to trigger them often.
>the fuck does overdrive do
Still fuzzy on some bits but essentially it boost your damage, gives your arts a 3rd cool down, and pretty much try to rack up the combo score.
>Mfw usually outside of story missions and certain affinity missions don't get much of these "Tatsu is food" jokes
>Put Lin in a party with Lao and/or Lao and they keep encouraging these Tatsu is food" jokes
>Haha hey Lin, hey Lin haha Lin, what's for dinner tonight haha?
Stop fucking doing this you two! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
No. Ares is a regular level 60 skell. The hidden ones are Excavator, police, and another one I can't remember off the top of my head.
Also don't get the Ares 70, the Ares 90 is so much better and the difference in grinding/ticket costs isn't very much.
>doing Yggy with some randoms
> some sweetie is spamming energy source on my mastema
> tfw over drive causes cockpit mode to spam Zenith cannon
>Predator and Prey
>mfw talking to Phina in the cave
Is galactic knight a good class?
I usually just load as many mele arts onto my character and skills that boost melee combos, Is that a worthwhile tactic or should I focus more on ranged and buffs
I'm lv 23 rank 4
I own xenoblade chronicles. Should I finish that first before playing X or it doesn't matter.
Also, I think I might be playing this wrong. Is the only thing you can do wait until your bars fill up for the individual abilities for one character?
Can you swap characters during battle?
I really fail to see the strategy in these games.
So I just finished the main story after about 100 hours playtime.
Is there anything worth doing that isn't just getting more powerful to kill enemies that have lots of health? Really enjoyed my time with the game but I've pretty much figured out the combat completely so that seems like dumping hours just to do so at this point.
All the characters I really like are done are there any affinity missions that are truly amazing I might have missed? I didn't do L's stuff past getting the slot opener so that might be a big one.
>Tfw just got a Galactic level 50 E-Scythe with bonus damage from the rear from nuking Tyrants with Ares to fill in my survey rate
Lao and Elma both if they're in a party with Lin can trigger Tatsu is food jokes as post battle dialogue. Allowing you to hear those wonderfully awful jokes several dozen times a day even without taking on a story or affinity mission.
The DLC characters are Yelv, Alexa, H.B. and Bozé, they're all already included in the American release. Once you complete chapter 12 you unlock the schematics for the Ares 70 and 90 along with a shit ton of "support missions" that gives you bonus money, affinity, battle points, etc.
I wish I would have noticed the ability to sell nemesis parts for reward tickets sooner. I would have completed this set fifty hours ago instead of just being halfway done.
Most late-game affinity mission unlock schematics for level 60 skell super-weapons along with the usual signature art. You should at the very least do Alexa's final affinity mission because it literally gives you a free level 60 skell.
PLOX REPLY. my miranium stocks are always low :(
You can't increase how often you get miranium but you can increase how much you get. You're probably going to ask how so; plant lots of probes, everywhere on every continent, create chains of certain probe types to maximize they're productivity, use booster and duplicate probes etc.
I haven't finished the game yet, but as far as I know there isn't a way to increase the frequency. Manage your probes better so you at least get more than just 6k every so often.
Oh jolly good xeno x thread.
Post mims, party and skells.
Bonus points for lewds and erotic skell fan fiction
how the fuck are you only getting 6 K. that is fucking abysmal i broke the 10 k mark over 80 hours ago, and currently collect 60k every time. i havent even managed my probes in a while. what the fuck are you doing you dumb nigger?
>Planet obviously controlling what people say and how it is interpreted
>Tatsu calls everyone Hom Homs and is confused as to why he said it in the first place.
>"Legendary Frontier Village" is a place on Mira the Nopon are constantly searching for.
>The god-slaying heropon is still a concept.
>"The Great One" was from another plane of existence.
>Mechonis shoulder in Oblivia
>Telethia in Noctilum
>People still think this game has nothing to do with Xenoblade 1
yfw we find out in the next game that the planet is Alvis
No, they're DLC skells. Excavator (level 60 with specialization in Heat damage) Police (level 30 with some pretty good debuff weaponry) and Dozer (level 30, I don't know what it does yet because fuck Bozé)
>using builds you find online
i would have to hit a pretty hard brick wall to actually do this.
i have no problem googling where shit is for quests and mats for the super weapons tho. for the latter, mainly because they dont even bother to show where mobs spawn in the bestiary so even if you track the mat down in that it still would have been quicker to just google it.
does it have anything to do with the fact i havent finished chapter 11 yet?
I mean iv discovered almost every prove in the game except the ones that you need level 5 mechanic for and my max is 34k, but i still only get a few every so often.
HOW DO I FIX THIS
>and my max is 34k
Build combos out of research probes, middle Noctilum in particular has a good string of probe sites with superb view bonuses (be sure to find the secret locations for more $$$), then put Booster/Duplicator probes near your combos. If that's not enough, replace your mining probes with basic probes since mining probes lower your money revenue. Also fill in your collectopedia, completing categories (such as "all insects in the game") and whole regions also gives you probes.
im only in chapter 9. actually put down and chain your mining probes and pay attention to the stats on the probe site. you can put them on and off sites endlessly (its does cost money) so play around with them. they dont deplete or go away or anything.
i am completely baffled even more when you say your in chapter 11. get your shit together and never have to worry about refueling your skells ever again.
he is asking for miranium anon, not money.
research probes the site give you more money and less miranium. mining probes make the site give you more miranium and less money.
Oh well for Miranium do the same shit but with the highest level mining probes you can combo together, and check for the production rating, not revenue rating. Getting more Miranium per drop is way easier than getting money, and the only thing that's actually challenging from the FN system is figuring a configuration to be able to HOLD 100k Miranium for Ares 90
I thought the tatsu food stuff got slightly funnier every time and the mission where he thinks he really be eaten is kind of funny.
It's not like Seinfeld or whatever, but I didn't mind it.
>Find a THERMAL level 60 sword
>One of its abilities is that it stops PHYSICAL damage reflection
So that ability's completely useless then?
I still use the sword because its other ability expands overdrive time, it's got good damage and it being thermal synergies well with the thermal resist down purple duelist skill but what the fuck?
>Tfw you finally manage to take down that annoying fucking anemone thing in White Phosphor Lake
>Finally able to complete like four different quests
>Gives you access to a teleporter to a rare chest to boot
>Take the teleporter back.
>Tyrant has respawned.
>Tyrant is instantly alerted as you get knocked back.
Where do I get the Level 30 Superweapons?
For whatever reason, I unlocked 5-6 Level 50 ones but nothing from 30.
only cause i suck and my lvl50 amdusias is down to one insurance so i gave it to alexa to use. i miss my mechfu a lot tho.
>going over the rainbow in cauldros
>not paying attention
The last few days I've been seeing people bitching about the night NLA song, specifically the "UHH YEAH" shit in it. I thought they were exaggerating because that grunting stuff was mostly in the background and most of the song was just the guitar and the "woooohoooo" female (I think) vocals. But now that I beat chapter 5 I noticed the grunting became much more prevalent and the female vocals are barely featured. Did the song actually change after chapter 5 or am I losing my mind?
can someone explain how this buff works? is it glitch or something, because each time i use an aura i never get heal.
That sucks. I guess I got lucky before. I liked it when the grunting crap was mostly in the background and it was just the girl and the music, but with the grunting as the focus it gets annoying. I was hoping there were two different versions of the track.
yeah, i did the same, now i steam roll every story mission and it feels kinda cheap. i got my skell at hour 60 and bought a lvl 50 skell in the same chapter 2 hours later. regret it but dont at the same time. just couldnt help but explore and get distracted
the level requirement for the story missions means you cant.
Huge open world with actual shit to do in it and exploration that's worth a damn and actually rewarding, fun and customizable ground combat, giant robots.
This is the trailer that sold me on the game
yes, it is xbox hueg. can fit all of skyrim, witcher3, fallout 4 and san fransisco in the map at the same time if you calculate the square miles. no loading times after you start the game unless you fast travel, and its not even that long of a load. and yes you make your own character
The world is fucking massive. Bigger than any other openworld games that came out this year. Each continent is about the size of the first Xenoblade, and there's five continents.
Yes you do make your own character
and you unlock a way to remake it half-way through the game
Can't help you with the bundles, Nintendo always make their stocks fairly limited, but you could be able to get a refurbished Wii U for around 200 bucks on Nintendo's website.
Here's someone running in a straight line across three of the five continents
Also bonus video
nope. wind waker HD is pretty cheap on the nintendo store tho if you cant find a physical copy or something. does the bundle come with pretty stickers on the wii U or something? the only bundles i would look out for are the ones that come with the pro controller as the tablet can be taxing to use at times if you arent getting comfy in bed with it and are playing a game that doesnt need it.
storage probes only let you hold a maximum of x miranium. if you have more mining income than storage capacity you only will get so much as you can hold. you can see your capacity if you press start and look at the miranium, beside the blade level or so.
eery storage probe gives you 3k miranium cap. try chaining them toogether for more max capacity.
Yeah obvious I have, then I unequip it because it doesn't seem to work. Isn't it suppose to be like the skill buff heal? Or am I just dumb and confuse what exactly is an "aura"?
Auras are blue arts. The skill should give you 20% of your HP every time you use a blue art. If it doesn't, then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe the enemy cast HP restore debuff on you?
Is that Master Miller in the back ground?!
Also, I've been playing as a Samurai Gunner for awhile and I'm not feeling it anymore.
Anyone a recommend another class?
I'm thinking Galactic Knight because lazers rule.
>implying its hunger and not territorial
its not that weird at all
hippos dont eat people but kill more of them than any predator in africa.
you mean you arent aiming at mastering every class and then going back to drifter for all those sweet skill slots and going godmode? once you master a the class line you can use the weapons from it no matter what class you are so you can mix and match weapons.
im sticking with longsword and chaingun thermal build while i level shit tho.
>Cat humans are edible
>Elf humans are edible
>Pig humans are edible
>Grey humans are edible
I don't think the indigens can differentiate us from the Prones, Wrothians, Marnuck, Ganglions and whatever Celica's species is. Plus most of them are territorial and attack us because we're another predator entering their hunting grounds and not simply to eat us.
I have my probes set up like that picture that goes around and Im only at 91k storage
What did I do wrong?
D-did he make it?
Is he cucked?
Planet is also keeping people alive, for some reason
I just bought this game on a whim while at Wal-Mart with some friends
what am I in for?
Use Cauldros as your storage bitch, the upper region can be used to put three booster probes affecting one duplicator probe that then boosts a storage probe combo that goes all the way to Sylvalum, that alone gives a shit ton of storage. The setup in pic related gives over 200k storage.
Take one storage probe off the one near the mining probe at the top middle from that 4-chain and place it on the right of the duplicator probe on the bottom right.
I think it will boost it a bit more.
Why would I want to waste my time and grind to the point that there is no challenge in anything I do?
I played the game so the story missions would still provide somewhat of a challenge. I'm on chapter 12 at level 52, level 9 Blade, and maxed affinity for Elma, Lin, Gwin, Lau. I have the best level 50 skells for all my companions.
Honestly most of the companions are fucking shit in this game and I have no desire to increase their affinity now that I'm almost finished the main story.
I wouldn't be proud of being an autist
That's because it's a post-game setup, money literally (literally) has no purpose after you've bought the level 50 skells you want, so what you really want is Miranium to refill your Ares and manufacture slots, augments and shit. If you take down the bajillion mining probes and put research probe combos instead, I'm sure you can easily make 150k a tic, keeping the storage setup the same as it is there.
I only have 8 storage probes and 2 booster probes (1 G1 and 1 G2), can I still get to 100k using that setup?
What would scenic points have to do with storage probes?
pic related is the one i tried to go off of
I should've thought of that, that put me at 96k.
Probably, as I said the setup gives over 200k storage, which is overkill.
Reminder that you can get more probes by filling in your collectopedia.
Man, it's so fucking painful. Every fucking level, every time you're running around with Lau and Lin, sprinkled throughout affinity missions.
Tatsu is the ugliest and most annoying character I have ever experienced in a video game. And his relationship with Lin is really fucking lame and revolves around eating him.
I don't know if this is just Japanese humour, or if the devs are fucking autists like most of this board. The joke wasn't funny from the very beginning.
They're stupidly OP, the best Drones in the game has 2520 Force and hits a whopping 24 times per use for an effective force of 60480.
There's only 1 not-superweapon with more force then that (the 662 Night-Cage, with 64800 effective force), and it takes BOTH shoulders.
fair enough. i could see that. im being that super autismo that gears everyone individually and will do the same with their skells (up to the lvl 50s at least) so i need the dosh for the most part still.
Tatsu is actually part of a lot of actually funny bits
When you fist find him and there's the whole Infomercialesque bit about the Follow-ball (There has to be a better way!)
Every time he interacts with Vandham
Every time you go back to his home caravan for a quest.
He's not all bad.
i got a hard on for it when it just the simple burning slash to incindiary edge combo was doing almost 50K starting chapters ago. i havent min maxed or anything tho so im sure no where to its potential but its doing just fine.
That was the first time I had to recrute some higher level blades. Even when you lure that fuck out from over the pit of lava he still hits like a truck
Better gear for ground combat is mostly based on what Augs you make.
Drop guide for the "best" armor is here:
A good place to grind for end game ground weapons is to kill the vestigles inside the nocturnal sphere
For Skell weapons, follow this:
For skell Armor, the only stuff worth using is the stuff that comes already equipped on the level 60 skell frames you can make.
Couple things I need help with /v/
1) How the fuck do I properly use this afterburner skill? It says boosts damage when in ranged combos, sometimes I hit for 500ish damage each and other times I hit for 2500 each shot. I can't figure it out pls help (level 7 astral crusader, level 26 overall)
2) Just hit level 7 Astral Crusader, starting to get a little bored of sniping everything. I'm level 6 blast fencer so I might just master that and galactic knight afterwards but hows samurai gunner/bastion warrior?
You can farm the cave with level 60+ normal enemies at the base of Cauldros' volcano for some good light armor, or the crocodiles and bugs at the sacred roost in Noctilum for skellwear.
Why they couldn't have given him a post-game redemption arc/quest chain that ends with you finding him again and re-recruiting him is beyond me. He obviously regretted his actions and wanted to help you out during the final battle, and obviously he's still alive, but nope, gotta stay sequel bait.
I've been killing in the Cauldros cave but sofar i've only gotten one piece of gear that was stronger than the lvl 55 C&C gear I got from the store. And it was a sleeve.
I guess I should also be looking at the pre-placed augments rather than the armor value?
It's really good for infinite overdrive builds, since Tornado Blade gives a shit ton of TP when used with an aura, True Stream Edge gives lots of TP if you've got morale bars (you gain those by succeeding at B prompts), Offensive Stance makes both a lot stronger and since each are multi-hit moves, they both build your overdrive counter a lot. Since overdrives lowers your cooldowns by a lot, they're also really spammable.
He gives you the Follow Ball which is mostly useless. That's it. Tatsu brings shame to all Nopons by his uselessness.
>Is there anything i can do to boost the chance of getting rare collectibles?
If you mean monster drops, wear Treasure Sensor gear, you can make some from the AM terminals (the supercivilization attire's the easiest to craft)
If you mean overworld items you're shit out of luck, but here's a map.
Fuck off with your shitpost thread shilling while this one's only at 180 posts and with no shitposting.
Unfortunately from what I've gathered from google, Auroran bones are most common in caves.
I'M AT FUCKING 96K MIRANIUM STORAGE GODDAMMIT JUST GIVE ME MY FUCKING ARES 90 ALREADY
Do you remember getting a storage probe from the wreckage at this location in Cauldros?
I posted this >>323999373
sitting at 96k right now, can't really do much without getting another booster or storage probe
I just checked my map and that segment is not completed. I'll head over there and look, thanks anon.
>Tfw In the Forest retells the whole plot of the game
We had our time on mother earth
All the way to our father's land
Now we're fighting hard in common land
It's a cycle of karma
There's a chance we've found our wonderland
As we reach to the promised land
Ranged combo means the previous art you used (and within a hidden time limit) was yellow. For example, using Shrapnel and then Afterburner boosts the amount of damage Afterburner does.
In that case, pull the duplicator that's only attacked to one storage, pull the other two parts of your three part chain that aren't attached to the duplicator
Place the duplicator you pulled below your whole set up, at the junction where you currently have a research probe
then put the two storage you pulled in the two slots that connect to this new duplicator position.
Where are some easy enemies to kill leveled around 33? I need to level up some classes and can only find either 22's, 26's, or 38's that one shot me
I'm only level 28 so Skells aren't an option(?)
If you dont kill her professor B reprograms her personality into a little girl and later you get a quest where she tries to rebuild the Delfinian army and you stop her. Then Erio puts her in time out by making her stay on top of the BLADE tower by herself for the rest of the game
>"hey i wonder if i can oneshot this monster"
>barely affected its healthbar
>"ok now i know"
>drive the FUCK outta there
I've done this several times, to the same monster in some cases.
Does't "treasure" bonus affect body parts drop?
Do I have to put it on every character or does it only affect the MC?
I want to craft all the weapons I can but those cinicula horns for lvl 40 weapons are literally bitches to get
>Fairly low level tyrant just hanging around
>It has a gold crown but kinda just ignore it
>Pretty sure I can one shot it I mean it's like 20 levels lower than the thing I just killed a minute ago
>Blast the thing with the biggest gun I have
>Do 453,238 damage to myself
It works for the whole party.
I have a full slutty bunny suit with treasure sensor XX augments sloted into each piece and I put that on whichever slut I've got in my party and it takes care of all my treasure sensing needs.
he keeps calling for debuf which is good, but somehow mine gets midlife near instantly even if I fucking taunt thank god he's redundant with Elma so I'll side him forever after getting his skills.
