>>323403835 That seems fine to me honestly. I don't pirate unless I absolutely have to due to games not being available here or absolutely offensive shit steam tries to pull sometimes. But if you already own the game I really don't see it mattering. I mean morally, legally it's still a no go as you only have the license to the game on whatever console you bought it for.
>>323403835 thats how i started out then i started pirating games with dead developers or which became free over time then i decided to pirate games i didnt think were worth buying then i started pirating games i would have bought, but didnt think the devleoper/publisher deserved my money soon i only bought games from developers i especially thought deserved my money now i pirate EVERYTHING, even stuff i dont want, and i dont give two shits about rationalizing it, i takes what i want and i wants what i take
>>323405317 Yes because a large part of the agree market value of consumer media is the longstanding implicit value in its ownership as a thing that can be resold. Once that value is lost the original worth of it is much less. Thats why things like digital streaming of movies and music is much much cheaper than buying a physical copy.
Of course that doesn't really apply to video games, but thats because video games have the worst consumer base who have absolutely no self respect or ideals of consumer rights.
>>323406408 We're talking about owning two towels. You're not taking your bath towel outside lol.
Why do people feel the need to justify piracy? I pirate movies I don't own all the time, it's bad, I recognize that. Pirating games is bad unless you already own that specific copy. Why can't everyone get over this. Would you really not pirate games if someone could change your mind about it being wrong lol?
>>323406234 its more like option 1 >pay $15-80 base for every single game you want for the rest of your life >pay $10-600 for dlc >get any game at launch or wait for price reductions after a year or so >small chance of base prices increasing over time >large chance of dlc amount increasing over time option 2: >get every single game you want for free and all dlc ever made for it for free for the rest of your life >have to wait 1 week-year after a launch to get game >.1% chance if youre not careful of youre computer getting completely fucked >.01% chance if youre not careful of getting sued at least $80,000 >.0001% if youre not careful of getting sent to prison and getting anally ravaged for years and possibly shanked to death option 2 still sounds pretty good desu, but those odds are extremely generous when it comes to video games. movies and porn? not such good odds
>>323407358 Pretty much this, its like going into a store and making a perfect copy of a diamond ring while the store keeps the original, the store loses out on its profits though
Such are the ways of the virtual world, its a shame we can't do the same in real life with food and important resources but its not like peple wouldn't jew out and start charging people money for copied food
