You're in the boss arena and the arena infinitely spawns sandworm enemies, you can either trick them into aggroing against the boss or kill them, they leave a pool of caustic blood and if you get the boss to walk into the blood he'll take dots.
The biggest problem is that he has so much fucking HP that it takes something like 10-15 minutes just to be able to hurt him yourself.

Borderlands has a REALLY bad level scaling problem. I'm no expert on game mechanics so I can't explain it to you in detail, but it seems the only way they have of making enemies harder or more durable is to just inflate stats. That means endgame numbers are just ludicrous

alright im pretty sure you've never played the game mate.
the quickest you can beat it with years of practice is just over 30 mins.
however if you have enough gil you can beat it within seconds

Hell they didn't even need to put any effort in a second half they could have easily had Chapter 5 as the last chapter where everything comes together. I was clocking around 35 hours right at the end of Chapter 4 so it's not like I would have felt the game was too short.
