>Sony loses another 2.1 Billion.
>Recovery plans ruined.
B-b-b-buh surely the gaming division is profitable, right?
Uh, I guess not.
>implying the biggest and best companies don't run on at least $100000000 of debt
Sony sells electronics of the same or lower quality as LG, Samsung (literally made in the same factory) but for a lot more money. They are literally failing in every single electronics division. They are arrogant enough to think people would pay more for an inferior product just because its made by sony.
Increase value, bank debt is less important than company value.
If you need a $100m loan to make something that is worth $200m then your ahead by getting the loan. This is one of the first things you learn in economics.
I'm generally curious if you can back that up. Most publicly traded companies have public quarterlies (like EA for example) so it should be easy to prove.
I'd be willing to google this shit myself if I wasn't half asleep.
Nintendo is a much smaller company than sony and have huge cash reserves. Also the 3DS is selling well. Sony has been losing billions every year for nearly a decade now with no signs of stopping. All the american investors dumped sony along time ago, its only the jap loyalists who remain, but for how long?
I didn't give my life up for nothing
>Look mom I posted it again
If sony goes under, the playstation brand (which makes money and is home of the best selling consoles of all time soon to be 3 times in a row) would just be bought out by some other company looking for an easy in to the console market. Either that or they would branch off on their own and just be a console maker similar to Sega and Nintendo in the day.
Assuming PS went down entirely I still wouldn't give a single fuck because PC.
Enjoy being a poorfag. Meanwhile anything worth giving a single shit about at TGS is coming to the ps4. How many new WiiU games did they announce there? Xbone? Nothing? Oh ok.
I don't want to see Sony die out yet, man. They're the only company truly fit to rival Nintendo, and I don't want either to fall before the Xbox does. They must continue on long enough for some unknown company to get in position to give the industry it's second jolt to life following the impending Second Great Crash of Vidya.
Fun Fact: Sony in 2000 had over 100 Billion dollars. In 2014 they have less than 10 Billion and by 2015 end it'll be around 7-8 Billion or less
Short answer shorter: About 15 years
>now Sanshiro laughs as he sucks cock, sony will be sucking cock next to him
>Sony becomes Nintendo
you forgot the part were, IF they do that, they will no longer be able to make consoles that sell at a loss, meaning that they will have to make sorta weak consoles like the WiiU in order to stay afloat and if MS is still around then MS will easily make more powerful consoles than Sony.
Alison Brie is so goddamn beautiful. I just want to kiss her.
Is Kaz kill? Can't wait to finally see his face removed from the internet.
>fuck their god damn tv's and other bullshit.
It's so weird because they used to be industry leaders in their other stuff, especially the tv sector. It's mindblowing to the try and understand how this mismanaged and fucked up so hard.
Why are people so hellbent on Sony collapsing? You know people rely on it to earn a living...
Some people take video games a little too seriously, holy shit.
They want Nintendo to become the sole proprietor of video games, but aren't old enough to remember how much that fucking sucked for everyone else when it happened back in the 80s.
Sony: 22 billion in equity
Nintendo: 11.3 billion
Microsoft: 90 billion
While losing 2 billion is a bad thing you have to realize that Sony is a huge fucking company. Equity is the money that would be left if all liabilities were paid.
In regards to assets
Sony: 148 billion
Microsoft: 172 billion
Nintendo: 12 billion
If anything, the only company riding close to the edge is Nintendo because equity is significantly lower than the others. Sony losing 2 billion means share holders are pissed. In reality they've got money to blow and if the ps4 still does well and they kill some of these cancerous divisions they'll be alright.
>but aren't old enough to remember how much that fucking sucked for everyone else when it happened back in the 80s.
By everyone else do you mean EA, Activision and Ubisoft? Honestly the more gaming sucks for those three companies the better.
I don't know why I'm even typing this cause these drone types are close-minded
Playstation is not and has never been a profitable business. The point of Playstation, as with Xbox is to take the living room. It is a vanity project to maintain and grow Sony's brand name with the newer generations. Basically Playstation as a whole is marketing for their other products. Very expensive marketing. Microsoft and Sony's business models would not work without a megacorporation behind them to front the losses. It just isn't a financially viable business on its own. Without a big name and bank account behind them, they wouldn't exist. In all of history only one company has been able to maintain itself on its own, due to hoe it has done business, a severely different way to its competitors. The Sonysoft model of paying out the ass for deals and taking losses on expensive hardware just won't fly. SCE can't be on its own.
The reason MS never has to worry about this is that they are funneling Nokia money to cover Xbox losses as their mobile division and Xbox fall under the same blanket.
>people rely on it to earn a living...
I always wondered why Sony never managed to pump out a competent competing product to go against the ipod. At least Microsoft managed to produce the Zune which wasn't complete shit.
Its just all the lies and smugness Sony has been dealing in.
I am glad to see one of the worst companies die. It would be like seeing Apple die in 10 years. You would enjoy that.
If a company is only losing money and has no hope of making any money, investors will have enough and they will gut the company and sell it for scraps in order to minimize their losses. Nintendo is in a much better state than sony, and MS could drop everything today and still be around for the next century.
JAPANS SALES retard. The game don't even make it to western countries yet. Just wait until Nintendo publish it on the US and see sales soar. Those chinks always hate games like Bayonetta. They just want their Mario/Zelda/Smash.
>icrosoft and Sony's business models would not work without a megacorporation behind them to front the losses. It just isn't a financially viable business on its own.
Hell that's the exact reason Nintendo and Iwata say they can't compete directly with Playstation and Xbox.
The business model, as shown even recently by the PS4 just doesn't work for an independant company, 10 million consoles sold in less than a year and still a loss?
>83 posts and 16 image replies omitted.
Sony could easily earn those 2B back by selling Spidey to Disney.
Whats the liquidity on those assets?
Equity is not cash its just the number you get when you minus liabilities from assets. I can have all the assets in the world but if they're not liquid I can't do shit.
>yfw sony becomes Nintendo next gen but instead of making a console they take the streaming service they've been working on and introduce it to every smart television
>netflix like subscription plan for unlimited games
The thing is that Marvel would rather wait it out, Sony's contract, and this also goes for Fox with X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc., is that they have to make a new film every few years or they automatically lose the license
Phil Spencer got put in charge already, all is good with the Xbox world finally. Xbox could end up with a monopoly and things would be good, trust in Spencer. He is the saviour of the Eastern vidya market
Software patents were reported as software licensing. Not hardware or related to games. Microsoft was making money off Xbox since 2008 and went in the black in 2011
But then whatever makes you feel better.
Everyone else meaning everyone who wanted to develop games for the NES.
Nintendo is no "nicer" than Sony or Microsoft. Fuck, they're over a hundred years old -- they didn't survive that long off of good intentions and kindness.
>mfw Gaikai fails and Sony ends up renting Azure servers
To be fair, samsung makes the parts for almost all electronics. All the ram modules are made by samsung. Almost all the panels for cel phones, monitors and tv are made by samsung or LG.
Sony's probably going to shit bricks if Microsoft moves Minecraft Realms to Azure and brings it to consoles.
They either have to take the L and let MS make more money than god off their console or say no and piss off customers.
>I want thousands to lose their jobs so Spiderman can go back to Marvel
Why, so that Marvel can make nothing but movies about the major characters forever?
People like you don't seem to get that a single stupid has limited resources and can only make so many movies a year. That means that anything that's not Iron man, spiderman, x-men, or one of the other major faces would never get made.
Sony having spiderman, and Fox having x-men is actually the best situation.
>Everyone else meaning everyone who wanted to develop games for the NES.
Well if you looked at the NES third party library you'd see why the restrictions were for the best.
Nintendo's strict to the third parties, whereas Sony and Microsoft allow the third party to pull whatever bullshit they want.
Didn't see it but it doesn't really matter. Sony has shown they're willing to sell off buildings and what not. It's clear to everyone they need to get rid of their Phone Camera and TV divisions and focus on things that actually have a change to make money.
Spiderman would be made and he'd be in the Avengers. Also Phase 3 doesn't even have an Iron Man. GotG proved that Marvel doesn't have to follow those rules. They've found a killer recipe and I'm excited for Ant-Man. Marvel's on double time and if they had Spiderman they'd do it justoce finally and make so much dough they'd be able to expand probably. Make 6 yearly movies instead of 4, which I'd like to point out is a thing that's happening. Marvel's good with production, they film non-stop all year long
>YFW Sony sells SCE to Microsoft
Just seeing the rage on neogaf would make my life complete
And who has the stronger third party support today?
Nintendo wasn't strict, they were fucking sadistic.
>You want to develop for the NES? You're going to license your cartridges through us -- and we're going to take a huge cut
>You want to try and develop several games to offset the cost from our ridiculous restrictions? Too bad, we're going to quality control you and let you flounder.
>Oh and we won't allow you to return the cartridges to us too, so you're shouldering all the risk. Ta ta!
To say it was "scummy" is putting it mildly.
This. I don't think people understand that there is a cost that goes into RnD. Sony had a ton of money in 2000 because the ps1 was a success for 7 years. In 2006 again because the ps2 was such a huge success. Then they spent a bunch of money making the ps3 which fell flat out the door and stuggled to meet the expected demand to return their money. The ps3 is finally doing well and has likely paid back the development cost and is probably even selling at a profit at this point. The ps4 out the gate is doing fantastic and sales are only going to rise come holiday season. That combined with the games set for release early next year they'll be fine. At least SCE. I think they'll need to do some serious cuts to other divisions and hopefully turn the train around. But even if they lost another 2 billion every year they'd have at least another decade in them before they ran out of money. Cry more.
These retards don't realize that the only thing stopping Company A from absolutely dicking your consumer ass are Company B and C standing in their way.
Imagine you're one of two people that controls the supply of sugar in your neighborhood. Everyone wants in on the lemonade stand business. You also happen to run a lemonade stand. You sell your lemonade using your sugar and make sure you sell sugar to everyone else at a premium so you make money and hinder their profits.
It's like you don't even understand scummy business practices.
They didn't make money on PS1 or 2. CD players and DVDs sold at less than the standalone devices? That shit was a loss product.
Playstation doesn't profit, because they have shit business policies, because Playstation is just general SONY product marketing. It isn't a viable business by any means.
Why isn't this pyscho deleted on spot?
I swear I see this exact same style of post constantly.
Phil Spencer has not proved himself one fucking bit yet. You're either a dumbass drone or a marketor. Either or is cancer.
2.1 billion really isn't a lot of money if you think about it. sony is going to be fine and all the games coming out exclusively on PS4 next year will make everyone's purchase worthwhile. greatness awaits.
Gee wiz talking out of your ass sure is fun. Notice those losses the year before a new console was to release. Notice how steep the 2006 losses were because the ps3 didn't do well enough to meet the cost of RnD which was also huge. Notice that in 2010 they started making money on the ps3.
The person selling sugar is Samsung. Essentially Sony has to sell at a high cost because they buy their parts from Samsung that is jacking up prices to make sure Sony can't underprice them with their own hardware.
Thats why they lost to samsung in the tv business. Somewhere along the line samsungs quality matched or even surpassed sony while maintaining lower prices. Sony charged a premium not for better quality but just because of the sony name. Unfortunately for sony people dont have brand loyalty when it comes to tv. They just buy the best one for the lowest price.
Can people even cover Hirasawa? I know Yuko Miyamura (Asuka from NGE, Larxene, Chun Li, Aisha ClanClan, etc), an actual idol, tried to cover Mother and fucked it all up.
Here's the original, for reference; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpa_xDePRC4
But it was terrible. The game gear came out a full decade before the GBA and long before the DS but had visuals that still beats the dick off of them. Nintendo had a monopoly and it just allowed them to be lazy until Sony brought around the psp. Vita might be selling like shit but some competition is better than none.
>That feel when Vita Owner
>Sony might crash on itself and take down their video games in the process
>Thread still up after an hour and a half
>GotG proved that Marvel doesn't have to follow those rules. T
You're not understanding at all. GotG wouldn't have been made if Marvel had the rights to Spiderman and X-men, because they would have been busy making those movies.
>they'd be able to expand probably
Expansion means permanent increase in annual expenses.
No, mods are just dead and have been a lot more lax about threads like these in the last few days. Yesterday we had a bazillion threads about Bayo 2 sales, and none of them were deleted.
>mfw I'll be playing Bloodborne on my Xbone in a year
They had one but the music division freaked and wanted ridiculously strict DRM on it. Sony ended up releasing a DRM laden mess that wouldn't allow non DRM files to be played on it that flopped massively.
For years investors wanted Film and Music to be split so they wouldn't interfere in Electronics but Sony was insistent that every one of the divisions has to stick together. Problem was Film and Music was so powerful with Lobbyist connections that they could overrule electronics constantly.
Years of poor management is really starting to catch up on them.
When a company is worth 150 billion in assets it really isn't. It's terrible in the eyes of their investors but if push came to shove they could sell some shit and stay afloat.
>Sony lost [insert money amount] they're fucked now!
>Nintendo is doing bad this gen they're fucked now
>Mircosoft went full jew once again they're fucked now
These threads are fuckin retarded no matter who they're targetting
It's just flame bait, and you fucks fall for it every time
Sony is not just playstation nigger. Playstation is a product made by Sony Computer Entertainment. The playstation line, made a ton of cash during the ps1/2 days. They lost it all during the ps3's early years but started a turn around in 2010. However SONY the big corporation was losing money in other divisions. Playstation doesn't do terrible. It's sony. The big one.
>the same goddamn /biz/ thread is on /v/ every day
>Good Gaming threads are banned
Fuck you and fuck your ass.
Ironically, Disney probably make bank on that movie simply because of merchandising.
Sony also wants to make a new movie about Spider-Man and friends each year.
Movie goers will get sick of Spider-Man really fast if there's a new film with him every year.
This is true but it's not like any of you faggots leave your home anyway. And besides their still selling underpowered tech to this day because they don't have proper competition. The 3DS has a lower pixel density than the fucking ngage. I'm not even making that up. It's pathetic.
>create threads about the "demise" of Sony every day for 10 years
>it's still not happening
I am glad that people like you exist, so that I can laugh at you.
You can't really compare the handheld business to home consoles.
and it really wasn't that good either. By the end of it's lifespan the gameboy was extremely outdated technology, and the GB color was the same shit visuals+color. Had Sega not abandoned the Gamegear(which was visually vastly superior) and produced one not so battery hungry, ninty might not have the handheld dominance it does today.
I know all about this.
Iron Man and Captain America will probably die in Avengers 3.
Thor might die, but I think they'll keep him around because of Loki's legion of fangirls. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised of they made a movie or short-film just about Loki.
That and the terrible battery life were still amazing accomplishments for when it was released. It took nintendo a full 10 years to release a full color handheld with a back light. Literally why?
Why are you being mean to the xbone? It literally has nothing to do with this thread.
Plus it's selling alright and its parent company couldn't be in better shape, so that picture doesn't even represent reality.
Was your head bashed in by a rock during TGS or do you think the ramp up in shitposting against Sony is just for no reason in particular. Look up the games that are coming to ps4 that were shown at TGS. It's going to be a good year to be a weeb. And you can say "muh ps3/vita ports" but literally every multiplat game has shown that people are tired of 7th gen and nobody owns a vita so the ps4 is the go to for those titles.
Don't be upset, kid. Make some "SONY DOOMED" threads again. This help MS make some games for you :^)
That's only 4 movies. spidey and x-men mean 2 more flicks at the least, nevermind all the x-men material that could be mined later for a flick that would be replacing some other potential movie.
confirmed for missing the point.
Don't forget to pay PS+, stupid goy.
The problem was that the GameGear prioritized power over efficiency. The GameGear was just too powerful for its own good.
The GameBoy Color also should have come out a few years earlier, imo.
The GameBoy lasted a decade before getting replaced and frankly, aside from Mario Land (and the original wasn't that good), Tetris, Kirby's Dreamland 1 and 2, Link's Awakening, Metroid 2 and Pokemon, there wasn't really anything great on the system.
every "next gen" console is shit right now. Xbone isn't doing any better than PS4 and all of you are retards for buying these consoles at release, with handful of gimmicks and port games and at ridiculous full price
>you should all feel bad, not just the guys who didn't pick the console you picked
Sony always wins. Sony best gaming company. Microsoft cancer of gaming.
>It took nintendo a full 10 years to release a full color handheld with a back light. Literally why?
Because nintendo has been cheaping out since it entered the videogame business. Just about everything they've ever made has been inferior to the competition.
For now, but when tablets + keyboards become standard then we'll see a real paradigm shift in computing.
THe first thing that has to happen is cheap energy efficient and durable laptops with two sim card slots becoming common place.
But the fact that they're making money means that the games will come, unlike the PS4 who's library will sputter to a halt halfway through it's lifespan because Sony can't afford to pay for exclusivity contracts anymore.
Today I learned that anon doesn't realize Sony is not compired of just Sony Computer Entertainment and he doesn't realize that the playstation brand has been making money since 2010.
They are going to close up tomorrow, THIS TIME I SWEAR!
And then they will be bought out by this console maker!
Not really. I'm a sony fan but nintendo used to actually try with their console hardware. It wasn't until the wii that they stopped giving a fuck and kept selling outdated shit. The handheld market has always been theirs so they had little reason to care. It's only neo nintendo fans that think Nintendo never cared about graphics when really the n64 was more powerful than the ps1. Hell n64 games were like 80 dollars. Shit was dumb.
Which is the problem with all handhelds.
They prioritize power and graphics over battery life and durability.
A "color" gameboy from the early 90's will still work while a game gear will more then likely be dead.
That's not the point I was making bring up the game gear. Hardware performance and durability will go up as competition forces companies to make better shit. Nintendo had no competition so even though a technically superior device was released a decade prior they still insisted on selling up low tier shit like the gameboy because it printed money. Competition is good. It's what stops us from having a device released in 2012 with a lower pixel density than the ngage. There's really no excuse for it. Durability doesn't need to go down as hardware goes up.
Profits go down as RnD costs go up. Wanna guess what they were developing in those years? I'll give you a hint. It's the answer to "What will be making them a ton of money for the next 7 or so years?".
>Today I learned that anon doesn't realize Sony is not compired of just Sony Computer Entertainment
And when are you going to learn that it's other departments are doing just as bad, if not worse?
Today I learned that retards don't read the thread before posting.
>Sony falls to third party
>Gravity Rush 2 and LittleBigPlanet 3 on WiiU
>The Last Guardian on Steam/Steambox
>God of War and Killzone on Xbone
>Sega comes back without the console war shit
Yeah, they always cared about graphics.
During the 6th gen they had objectively, the most powerful console on the market and it cost not even 1/2 of what the ps2 and xbox cost.
Nintendo is fucking retarded when it comes to marketing and simply console themselves with selling to the people who like nintendo. They didn't even really try to sell to them, just keep them entertained.
Which is a good business strategy but one that will end in taking your customers for granted and eventually death.
They also ditched rare when they know damned well they should have thrown money at them to continue to make games.
Anyway, when their last console failed they went for fun and hype and coupled with being the only multiplayer local co-op game in town, a novel control scheme, and being cheap as fuck it basically ruled last gen.
However, we all know that nintendo is fucking retarded when it comes to capitalizing on popularity or even recognizing what they have and continuing with it.
Hell, they didn't even capitalize on fucking pokemon when it was at it's height of popularity.
It was fucking wizards of the cost and 4kids.
N64 - better specs but shitty storage, 64Mb cartridge vs 900Mb cd
Gamecube - better specs than PS1, worse specs than xbox, worse storage than both
Snes - stronger than genesis, but somehow still managed to have less impressive content on certain games, also weaker than some of the other less popular competitors
Battery technology hasn't advanced as quickly as the rest of the hardware. The batteries can't keep up with the processors in terms of power consumption which is why everything has a shorter and shorter battery life despite similar size batteries.
Unless you want to have a system that has a massive battery, you won't be having something like the GBA SP or DS Lite where it can last 20+ hours on a single charge.
MULTIPLE objectively superior devices were fucking released over the lifespan of the Gameboy.
Each and everyone save for the wonder swan was a battery hog that would break in two if you so much as bumped against lightly.
And if that were even remotely true, then most nigh thousand dollar phones wouldn't be easily broken and have the battery life of a single realistic bbc vibrator in an all girls college.
Why you activede denial mode? I know why, because Xbox has NoGames.
>>Sega comes back without the console war shit
No, they only talk about how great it is to fight #GamerGate and DDOS websites.
Neither system has games, bro.
Though to be honest, the Xbone has a better line up as far as exclusives go.
Next year IS looking really good for video games.
MGS 5, Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3 (KEK) Bloodborne, and Xenoblade Chronicles X.
nope, Nintendo said no to third party shit
and Microsoft rather put Halo on Steam or stand-alone 12 months after and re-create Halo DS than on Sony consoles
stay in denial, your tears are delicious than Ridley Tears of Joy
>worse specs than xbox
Mainly because the xbox couldn't use half of it's processing power without needing a high powered cooler or burning out.
The GC was functionally more powerful then teh xb1.
A fact that quite honestly surprised the everloving fuck out of me.
You can design the system around battery life you know?
And batteries have progresses fairly far, it's just that there is more money in replacement batteries then a battery that can last for weeks on a single charge.
Nigger please, people lose their jobs every day, you only care because you happen to like the company.
Personally, if a dead Sony means less faggots shitting up video games and /v/, then I'm all for it.
They've been digging this grave for years anyways, they only have themselves to blame.
Most people who use portable tech would love something that would last dozens of hours and not need to be charged for a good long while.
Most would gladly sacrifice the power of the tech for it.
>it's just that there is more money in replacement batteries then a battery that can last for weeks on a single charge.
The people making replacement batteries aren't the same people making the battery in your mobile electronics.
>EA eats the Playstation corpse
>become the true superpowered pc
>Nintendo, Microsoft, Sega Sammy, and Valve has to work together and stop 'em
>yfw this is true final boss of the game industry
>One Button Action 15
>15FPSborne: Now With Less Customization
>Thinking Kingdom Hearts 3 will be out in 2015.
>Not listing The Witcher 3, Batman, Barkley 2, Star Citizen, Zelda U, Scalebound, Mount and Blade Bannerlord, and
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
The problem is then it gets too bulky or you gotta cut back on power which means less grafics.
That's the logic behind modern handhelds. The last one to make battery life a huge priority was the DS line.
EA making their own hardware platform would be interesting, the yearly exclusive sports titles would probably push a lot of units, as would Battlefield.
For the longest time I thought Activision was stupid to not make their own platform where CoD and Blizzard games were exclusives.
What parts of Sony is making decent money besides Sony Entertainment (music shilling)?
>yfw SONY NEVER EVER DIED
>infinity tears of Xboners,PCfaggots and Shitendo plebs.
>The problem is then it gets too bulky or you gotta cut back on power which means less grafics.
The average console should be ten times more powerful then PCs. Does't matter if it will drive the cost up to 4k dollars.
There is no excuse.
Do you agree?
Consoles exist for several reasons:
A baseline for development
Ease of use
There have been super expensive consoles which had amazing specs for their time, the all did poorly.
>flashback to 1999
>yfw SEGA NEVER EVER DIED
>infinite tears of Nintendo nobgobblers and Playstation pansies
But seriously though the reason Sony looks bleak is because they have no exclusives to make somebody buy the console.
I mean business wise they're okay, I mean for people who like games like myself.
There is no reason to own a PS4 since I have a PS3 and PC. The Vita is better to own than the PS4 and will be for at least a few years, which is hilarious.
This basically doesn't apply to PS4.
Kingdom Hearts and Bloodborne are the only aces in the whole they have in this regard.
2 whole games. Everybody knows their 1st part is shit, that's why 3rd party titles don't mind coming to Playstation platforms, no real competition on the platform.
It's more that they have razor thin margins.
In terms of what brings the bread home.
Smartphones, TVs, Bluray, and mostly other stuff.
You know, these things? No, your smartphone does not match it
Yes but that's for professionals. Are professional photographers really going to keep the whole division alive by themselves? There aren't millions upon millions of them. (Well according to themselves their are probably a shitload, but I mean actual professionals, not "woah check out my use of macro here on my facebook" professional.)
>Kingdom Hearts III (Japanese: キングダム ハーツIII Hepburn: Kingudamu Hātsu Surī?) is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Square Enix and published by Disney Interactive Studios for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be the first Kingdom Hearts game to be featured on a Microsoft platform, having previously only released on Sony Computer Entertainment and Nintendo platforms, and the first to originally release on more than one console.
It will probably come to PC as well as porting to/from the PS4/X1 to PC is insanely easy. I wouldn't be surprised if Square announced that KH3 and OneButotnAction15 came to PC, the fact they're releasing the shitty Lightning games on PC now is probably to test the market.
>It will probably come to PC as well as porting to/from the PS4/X1 to PC is insanely easy. I wouldn't be surprised if Square announced that KH3 and OneButotnAction15 came to PC, the fact they're releasing the shitty Lightning games on PC now is probably to test the market.
Damn, I told my friend the other day KH would probably come to PC given Square's recent behavior. He wanted to believe he could have a reason to have the PS4 though.
Dang, well I hope those fags love Bloodborne.
They don't have fucking factories that produce equipment for them.
What they don't design themselves and have built by others they buy from private contractors.
Components from sony is one those things they buy.
>Most would gladly sacrifice the power of the tech for it.
If it literally lasted dozens of hours and they could still do what they want to do, sure.
But we're not talking about some extreme here like the gamegear only lasting 5 hours. Modern smartphones with all the shit they have going on are still lasting 15-20 hours.
Bought the D3200(?) for a friend about a year ago. Amazing camera for the price. Just have to get the lenses you want from what I understand. I'm not a very good or knowledgeable photographer myself.
Actually here, case in point. Teenage girls who totally need that pro grade camera for their mirror selfies And it happens to be a Sony camera too lol
The fact Bloodborne is being released roughly 10 months after Dark Souls 2 is a cause for concern. I lot of people I know (as well as me) will be passing on it simply because we're burnt out on the Souls games having spent hundreds of hours on each. If Bloodborne were a Holiday 2015 title, then maybe I'd be somewhat interested.
Also the fact it and The Witcher 3 come out within a few weeks of each other can only be trouble for Bloodborne.
No they aren't.
They're barely lasting 8 hours with moderate use.
That's not mentioning the fact that gaming on them will effectively half that.
Most people will willingly sacrifice power on a smartphone if it meant that you could use it for well over a week with moderate use and never have to charge it.
These shitty "Sony is dying" threads have been going on for years on this board. You should wait until some bit of news comes up, like when they release their quarterly financial statement. Making these threads every day or every week is fucking stupid and barely has anything to do with videogames. It really does belong on /biz/.
typically delusional sonygger
I wish people would just cool down the threads.
It's worse then GG threads because Tortanticfags have no idea what they are talking.
Sony isn't doomed
Nintendo isn't doomed
Microsoft isn't doomed
stop being mongs
could not give a fuck
seriously if either one of them died the fanbase wouldn't switch to any other console.
If the PS4 died no one would switch to Nintendo or a small minority would.
>No they aren't.
Yes they are, assuming it's the flagship premium model and not some bottom of the barrel econo phone.
>Most people will willingly sacrifice power on a smartphone if it meant that you could use it for well over a week with moderate use and never have to charge it.
Some people will, most? not a chance. Plugging your phone in to charge once a day is not some massive inconvenience for the majority of the population.
>consoles doing badly
That's a pity. I was hoping to buy a Wii-U and a PS4 in the future. But since they don't have anything good coming, and I despise both companies, I guess my PC will do.
>implying the Xbone even crossed my mind
Valve will buy the playstation division if sony goes bankrupt.
Then they'll get rid of psn and release steam on ps4 fully cross platform with pc without exclusivity deals and paid online.
Gaming will be saved.
but sony is a puppet of microsoft they literally dominate the entire tech industry.. #tinfoilillumatitruth japan doesnt actually make their own hardware. not even samsung designs their own chips, they really just get intel hand-me-downs because friendly nation BS and puppet tier jap corp keeps monopoly at bay chinks are worthless, they only accell at detail drawings of female anatomy. you are worthless
>Valve fans combined with Sony Vets
oh god that's be the worst thing to happen, not even PC fans wants Valve to do this.
why not EA buying the PS division?
Are you kidding? Half the NES library was garbage. Those limitations did nothing to stop terrible games like the Back to the Future games, or Top Gun, or the Total Recall games, and let's not forget the games that didn't even work, like Hidon and Milon's Castle.
But it's selling at least, and people are buying games for it. I don't agree with the games being quality, and I don't support buying one myself, but you can't argue the numbers.
>Sega finally got what they wanted after their defeat
Yea, 150 billion in assets.
With 130 billion in liabilities.
And this is assets, not equity, meaning not all of it can be liquidated quickly and easily in order to regain cash value, mainly just actual cash assets.
yea, I'm sure when things get reeeaally bad then they'll just liquidate their tv and phone markets and then theyll be in the clear again
You really think their TV and phone divisions are worth 130 billion?
Shit man, their PC division only sold for ~$450 million.
No one's going to invest billions of dollars in a failing division.
>which makes money and is home of the best selling consoles of all time soon to be 3 times in a row
What is the Wii? Also, that doesn't mean shit if they're not actually profitable.
>Assuming PS went down entirely I still wouldn't give a single fuck because PC.
If you realize that, why are you giving a single fuck now?
