No, they are still developing it, last update on official site was several days ago.
CDP is a relatively small project in that they work on one project at a time. They explicitly said in interviews that Cyberpunk 2077 was the next step after TW3. At the moment, they just have a handful of people working on lore and concept art.
as soon as you preorder another witcher 3, goy
Sadness for the Wii.
It's still coming out, right?
This was supposed to come out 9/19/01
BG&E was a really nice game, I really love the ending. Would have loved to see a second game .
Terrorists ruin everything, that game looks rad.
Luckily, in 2004, someone leaked it online.
Also daily reminder EA ruins everything
They've been telling us "Winter is coming" for years now.
I'll believe it when I see it.
God damn I was so hyped for this game as a kid reading about it in Nintendo Power...
I'm 24. If it's any consolation I'm a sony dude now that I've realized that nintendo is garbage and microsoft only tries to find ways to get money from it's fanbased.
Sony is a nice neutral middle and I'll be buying a second ps4/vita for my living room next week.
What do you want, faggot?
Oh yeah, I remember how amazing routine was gonna be, with its dynamic emergent gameplay!
I remember telling everyone here that design makes games good, not randomization or "emergence". I remember being scoffed at.
>>I remember telling everyone here that design makes games good, not randomization or "emergence". I remember being scoffed at.
You're a pretty cool guy. The deification of procedural shit has led to blunders such as Starbound and the upcoming No Man's Sky.
>the game will react to different choices you make at various stages and your cities/cultures will behave and look accordingly!
>it chooses from a list of 3
okay, that's okay, everything's going to be fine
Starbound is a blunder because the devs are lazy, the stole the money and know they got away with it, and none of them understand the first thing about what makes a game fun
terraria alpha leak..hit a monster, it gets knocked back, releases blood, makes a sound. Starbound? Took them like 4 months to implement this. Something that was in NES games.
Not like that trend would continue to haunt gaming for years to come or anything? Right?
the stupid thing is that the "3 different options" was sort of videogame standard, a lot of RPGs had at that time an "evil" option, a "neutral/crafty" option, and a "good option," but the preview videos sold the idea that the game actually interpreted what you were doing rather than just pasting a generic form over it so well that people actually believed it. if it had just popped out unannounced I think I would have completely overlooked it, but for me it was probably the most disappointing thing in (not in) spore
>the preview videos sold the idea that the game actually interpreted what you were doing rather than just pasting a generic form over it so well that people actually believed it
This still happens every year
It's not canceled
They just aren't doing any kickstarter fundraising crap and it is causing them to take longer.
The are going to release a full, finished game, no early access or any shit like that
You fucking rapist! Fez 4 is canceled!
Will never be released as anything resembling a "game". Expect 3 more years of tech demos, hanger modules, and pretty models, and then silence is my prediction once the money runs dry.
Neck-beards around the globe will be hanging themselves over their $5000 real money fleet that disappear overnight.
If you get bored, skip to 6:23
It's not fucking cancelled you retards. Games take fucking time to make, and since the devs are busy with TW3, they can't divert too much manpower aside from writing to it.
> "You know, we could fund this as Lucas Arts' swan song before closing them down..."
> "NAH, let's fund more Disney Infinity!"
that's what pisses me off about the big kickstarter projects. It also applies to DayZ. I wait a couple of months, go back to the game and barely anything changed. And retards keep getting excited about new weapons and shit like that. The game is barely any fun when you actually try to survive. Everything is unstable, the last time I played I didn't see a single fucking zombie in several hours of playtime. Star Citizen will be Early Alpha for 10 years and the only thing they are gonna do is shit out new ships now and then for all that sweet autism-money
It's been over a year since the last update. The game will never leave Alpha, Wollay abandoned it over a year ago.
One thing I don't like is when games are canceled, shit or not.
it made the front of Nintendo Power and everything
Fuck you you ungrateful assholes.
Fucking Fez 5 cancelled! FOREVER.
Daily reminder that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been cancelled.
>0 results for "Starcraft Ghost"
Blizzard leaves out the most intriguing games too many times. They also had a Warcraft point-'n'-click adventure that was scrapped, which would have been the first game to introduce Thrall to the series.
>Sell something you do in your free time for more or less a year, nothing original, just a mix of a pc game and a console game.
>Receive hundreds of thousands.
Why would he update? To receive more money? Who would do that?
Jokes aside, everyone knows that when someone fucks up his career like that, as soon as his name appears somewhere else everyone will jump from the boat.
Just look at Tyi or Tiy or whatever that faggot name is, he thought that by being famous for doing SOME FUCKING SPRITES for an indie game he could live his entire career from that.
Starbound hasn't been in the top 100 for a long time, the trust in fuckeyfish is lost.
Hi, my name was Guyver in the english fan forums for huxleygame.com
I was the one who made this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw0Cws94o-I
I was young and around that time a senior in highschool. That was the first video I ever made on a computer to be honest.
Luckily, a person in the forums of Korean decent made an account using his mother's information. Turns out, back then and maybe still, Korea has a big online policy revolving around online use and any account needs an official social security number.
The lag was bad and I never understood what was happening, but he guided me through the process of accepting quests and weapon crafting.
The game was pretty linear, the maps and classes were kind of cool because of how varied they were. But down to it's core, it had alot of grinding. Even to the point that a weapon being upgraded could "damage" the weapon in the process and destroy it completely. The multiplayer was fantastic. Co-Op was very drop in/out and there were incentives to completing objectives.
It was a game designed before it's time to shine. Then iiji bought the game from Webzen and ruined everything.
I seldom dream about it to this day. No joke. Thank you, korean guy I never knew. Thank you, Webzen for trying your best on such an ambitious MMO in 2005. I won't forget either of you.
Thank you all for so long holding onto the dream of Huxley. I mean it. It raised the bar high in my mind. And I hope it will never leave your hearts as one of the best games that "could" have been.
Werewolf the Apocalypse. After this and WoD Online fail, I'm certain that World of Darkness vidya are cursed.
Also Warcraft Adventures. Blizz was pretty much done with the game, when they decided it's not good enough and canned it. Black Isle's Torn could be good too, though it seemd kind of similar to Torment, but they deleted it pretty soon, so I don't know about it enough to really miss it.
I'm also one of the only people on the planet to still have an issue of this magazine featuring this canceled gem.
They went so far into the development process that they talked to professors and college students to try and figure out the mass, weight, and energy behind Tiberium if it was an actual element. The information gotten and collected was nearly a small novel long.
The information was never released.
It's a shame too. Imagine something similar to Renegade + Supreme Commander.
You are the Commander unit and can shoot, kill, and etc. But at the same time you could control huge armies with a map overlay similar to strategy games of today.
They even wanted over 16 player maps.
Ofcourse we all know that
__PC__even today could be the only platform to pull that off.
I want spore 2. It was originally meant to be bigger than the Sims but they fucked it up and now there's nothing but a disappointing game and some crappy DLC
I remember getting so hyped for that.
Red Ace Squadron 2, don't know if anyone here played the first one, but it was a lot of fun.
AoD is on early access for Steam already (for those who preordered) and getting updates every month or so.
They've already implemented over half the game. Should be 100% done early next year, hopefully.
darksiders 2 was shit compared to 1
added a ton of mechanics that did nothing for the gameplay
every single objective was "find the three [A]!" "kill the three [B]" "knock down this guy three times!"
the item system was a clusterfuck
and the story had the world's most lacklustre conclusion
Space Station Tycoon. They finished the game and had a bunch of coverage in Nintendo Power, but the game never came out. It still makes me mad.
Space Station Tycoon. I remember seeing it in Nintendo Power and then it never came out
this shit better stop, I can't handle the thought of it
I just want more cyberpunk themed media
I just want to get hit in the head, go into an irreversible coma, and dream living in a cyberpunk world for the rest of my vegetable days
Jokes on you. The neckbeards who put forth $5k+ are mostly wing commander fans back from the early 90s. They're so desperate for anything wing commander at this point that they'll fund the project until they themselves run dry first.
Honestly... It was just going to be a cover based shooter with Uncharted mechanics.
It was impressive because it was showing off all sorts of new tech, not because of what was actually in the trailer.
Lucasarts clearly never intended for it to happen, because they weren't interested in making video games anymore.
>mfw I was looking forward to quests and stuff
they still have nightly updates if you opt in for it right?
Let it out anon, we're here for you
Anyone remember this game being mentioned in Nintendo Power?
Fuck I still have that thing. I was so excited for it I had a dream after reading it.
It is literally the exact same except borderlands added more color and randumb. What the fuck.
Bisexual Sluts D'Third: Tentacle Raping Inferno
I sincerely doubt they will release it in 2015 since Witcher 3 is in February. Almost their whole workforce is on Witcher 3 right now, 2077 will probably have at least a 2 year development cycle, maybe 3. It will be late 2016 at the absolute earliest, probably fall 2017 though. They announced the game when it had only just barely started earliest stages of pre-production because they were excited as hell about it.
>the last LucasArts game ever made was Kinect Star Wars
Notice how every society has horror stories about tall, thin men with long fingers, strange features, beady eyes and animalistic teeth dressed in strange black robes, almost passing for humans and walking among us...
This was a weird cancellation because the game was finished. It got cancelled like the week it was supposed to be released.
It hurts so fucking bad. Its like dating someone for years, getting broken up with. Being devastated but years later she comes back and gives you hope like your going to get back together but starts fucking some other guy near you.
I can't really blame Disney for killing LucasArts. They we're making so many huge mistakes over the past few years and the whole studio had lost it's charm and magic and didn't give a shit anymore. 1313 was a generic cover shooter that took place in a somewhat interesting area of Coruscant but LucasArts had hurt itself too much and this came to be shown too late. I don't trust that team since they canceled BattleFront 3 when the Alpha game looked so promising.
saw the gameplay trailer a couple of days ago. My first thought was 'here we go, another pewdiebait Amnesia-clone' but looks like they actually got something there with the 80s/90s scifi setting and robots as enemies. Also, superb sound.
Star Wars thread?
Star Wars thread
>Getting legit excited for some shitty generic cover shooter with lasers.
Y'all niggas need jeezus.
It's never coming out and that is a shame.
R.I.P. Team Ico, you did well with what you did make.
Turns out they actually hired this guy and were going to pay him to use his work. then scrapped the contract, fired him, and just ripped him off instead
Gearbox is fucking scum, this is even worse than their colonial marines scam.
>mfw I wish some form of this game would surface that isn't mother 3
I really want to see how well this actually played.
>starts fucking some other guy near you
Knowing that she's out there would at least give me a little bit of joy. It's more like she ocmes back, gives you hope of getting back together then
boards a rocket to the moon and stays there forever
yeah I've heard.
but what I really want is to know how it played.
apparently one of the reasons it got canned was it apparently didn't play well.
I also just want to see more of Flint's 3D model since is seems like a different overall design than mother 3.
also found this on youtube and listen to it frequently https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45sqOkQ2YZw
I love how they actually tried, and pulled off, unique music for their titles instead of generic sounding jrpg music. Mother 3 has one of the best OST's I've ever heard, if not the best.
>make one decent interesting game and end on a cliffhanger
>make a sequel and instead of taking of where the first ended make it about soem random shit with no plot
Yeah, whopp de do fuck them
>buy out a promising studio
>instantly cancel what its working on and close the studio
I will never fucking get this.
Why does Intel ( in this case) ea and everybody keep doing it.
/v/ hates starbound now?
What the fuck do you guys like now? Jesus. Does anyone here actually like video games?
Starbound is still getting regular updates for fucks sake. It's also already a pretty big game. What the fuck else do you want before you stop bitching about Early Release devs stealing your money? I don't think any amount of content will stop it.
/v/ hates AAA, /v/ hates indie. /v/ hates games, and it's not even a joke anymore.
> Routine cancelled
Don't even joke about that.
I never knew they were going to make a Werewolf: The Apocalypse game ;-;
I have the 2nd edition rulebook for that just sitting on my bookshelf, I read over the rules from time to time. I'm just forever annoyed that my only friends who are into /tg/ will wanna play it because they're too interested in trying to minmax their characters and ruin each others pathfinder games
I bought Starbound due to the hype. I enjoyed it a little bit but as I went on I realized it's just tedium, it's not really that fun. It's been out for ages as well and is still in Beta stage 1 and I honestly doubt that they'll ever finish it. Thankfully the game was made with modding in mind. Fan mods do more for the game than the actual core developer content has.
>/v/ hates starbound now?
is that you omni?
>Starbound is still getting regular updates for fucks sake.
nightly updates that break the game adding nothing are not a substitute for proper updates, if this is truly a "beta" it should be indicative of how things will be playing out in the future
If you've read up on why Lucasarts fell to shit it was entirely on Lucas and the upper management's desire to please him, ever time he walked into Lucasarts he fucked up a game.
It would've been a shitty cinematic setpiece ridden game, like TLOU and Tomb Raider. Nothing of value was lost. Now Battlefront 3 and Imperial Commando, that was a fucking shame. And now both are "ressurrected" by EA, just to make things worse.
I was looking forward to that Harker game by The Collective.
i would until we heard updates directly from brohei. It Means they are working on it and its not cancelled currently... doesnt mean it wont get cancelled in a couple months tho
Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars
No info other than "Yeah, we're working on it". The screenshot we saw was of the Definitive Edition, which UNF has been working on since the consoles were announced. The only hope of it coming out is if the Definitive Edition sells like hotcakes, and the chances of that are very VERY slim.
>Game gets canceled
>Source code and project files are either outright destroyed, or locked away forever to never see the light of day
I don't wanna see this
Given the state of this putrid industry full of kikes and faggots it was gonna be awful.
>day 1 bonus characters DLC
>share on facebook WHO YOU PWNED! XDD
>monkeys using disguises like minecraft and halo
>game comes with only 10 characters, the other 50 you have to buy
Oh fuck you you bandwagon leaping cunt. Darksiders 2 was a massive step down from Darksiders, and it was full of the most cancerous DLC bullshit imaginable. I'm glad THQ died.
I was SO FUCKING HYPED for this one...
I know it's not vidya but did anyone else subscribe to this? Was so mad they cancelled it after only 5 issues and reverted me back to regular Nintendo Power. Those guides were so cool
>Heavy Metal FAKK"3"
>Sin Episodes "2"
RIP in pieces Ritual, it is a shame you got turned into a shitty mobile phone game studio even before the smartphone craze.
Also a Dreamcast version of System Shock 2(I remember an ad in EGM for it).
Apparently there is a beta of SS2 for the Dreamcast, and was an alpha of THIEF 2!
Man I miss the Dreamcast, fuck the Xbox for screwing up classic game series like Deus Ex and Thief even for us PC owners.
Viewtiful Joe 3, but we all know what the ending of that would be by now....
Maybe sometime when we have 3DS emulators this will get leaked.....
