Because typically it's quiet, if you live with others they're likely asleep, you can easily make your room dark so the light of the monitor/TV is the focus, you can lose track of time easily, best time to put yourself into dark/spooky games

I actually just finished it. Only thing of note was the Assassin's getting the apple and Rikken dying.

Also I noticed the apple is like a third the size it is in the games.

I've seen less appealing consoles succeed and more appealing ones fail.
I'm not assaulting or white knighting it, but it's 100% advertising. It's not exclusives, the age of exclusives are over. It's all how well they can make it appeal to normies.
