I was hunting for ones too, my friend. And the actual situation is very bad.

Simply put, there are none. PC Mecha games are dead.

Mechwarrior Online is shitty and grindy. Heavy Gear Assault is still in alpha, from what I recall and cost hell (wont stop devs from selling bonus machines, heh). Hawken is dead and left alone. Front Mission Evolved is shit and it still pains me why they made it like this.

From positive side, there is Project Nimbus, which is airbone mech combat game, but its in EA, very slowly climbing towards release. There is also, somewhat related, Strike Suit Zero/Infinity, which are normally space combat game but with option to transform your fighter into robot mode for a while, Macross style. New Mech Commaber or how its called is awaiting for relase. Rest are 2D side scrollers or similar games, not really worth the deal.

Mech agames are dead on PC> Since Exteel was killed, there is nothing left and NCSoft first killed fan project of Exteel 2 ("Full Metal Mayhem") and then killed their own sucessor, Project HON. They are dicks like that. Not to mention Wargaming buying out another studio that tried to make mecha game and closing the project, relocating them to work on their World of RNG. Yeah, so many bigger guys in industry are total dicks.

I still miss mecha games.

I think there's a synopsis of the events of MGS1 somewhere in the main menu if you decide to do it.

for the most part yes. I would recommend getting them

First one is rough, 2nd is fantastic story and adventure wise, 3rd is good

Yes, 2 and 3 are great and honestly I would say slightly better if only because their multiplayer is head and shoulders above the multiplayer in 4.

1 you can sit on until last or skip all together. It's not a bad game but it didn't age nearly as well as 2 or 3 did.

Make sure if you want to play mp though that you buy the PS3 versions of 2 and 3. The Nathan Drake Collection, for some fucktarded reason, removes the multiplayer modes. They're literally only like 2 dollars used on PS3 anyway.
