Just wanted to inform you guys that an actually good Mighty No.9 game just released on Switch. Nice 2D art, much better level design and you actually kill enemies just by shooting them now, with the gimmick being that you get more points the closer you are to them when you deliver the killing shot. Plus it has Gunvolt in it and the plot is a Kingdom Hearts Coded kind of thing where Beck is in a VR simulation of his last adventure, so it's even a sequel in a way. I recommend it if you like classic Megaman and have a Switch.

I bought it yesterday waiting for Switch and it's honestly good, Beck doesn't have that stupid dash, the weapon customization is interesting, and you fight all the mighty numbers in all new stages so this might as well be Mighty No. 9: The Good Version.

I don't even know what "pandering" means outside of some awkwardly forced "by the way this character is gay" moments in some games I don't even like. Most of the games I play have no perceivable political message whatsoever. So, I guess, the developers of all those games are the answer.

>fucking embarassing scenes with glados saying that the level that takes 20 seconds to figure out is impossible to beat
Older games were so ridiculously short and oftentimes you'd just play the same game over and over again which is why they ended up being memorable experiences. Remember VTM: Bloodlines? It took like 2 hours to complete, but at that time you'd just replay the hell out of it with different clans and different factions. Fallout 1 had like 10 quests but you'd research every nuke and cranny over there. In Morrowind you were actually fucking reading the ingame books.
And there was no internet so you couldn't google the walkthroughs to pass levels with terrible game designs and when you've finally finished those levels you actually felt acomplished (Again with Bloodlines, those fucking sewers), something that's impossible to embrace today in a single player game.
If games with that much content were released today the devs would be hanged (unless they advertised them as hipster indie bs).

Call me a pussy but the trailer for BOTW was so pretty and the music was so beautiful I shed a tear. I haven't cried since my parents divorce as a kid. I don't give a shit about Zelda either. How did Nintendo do it?
