Opinoins from a veteran Monster Hunter player, no console war faggotry allowed.
>Damage Numbers
This isn't a big deal, if anything it will make players better overall. Before you had to look up wikis to find out motion values/hitzones but now players will know right away how powerful an attack is.
>Voice acting
Monster Hunter tutorials have been absolutely horrible. Noone wants to spend 3 hours gathering herbs and fighting jaggis before they get to experience what the game actually has to offer. The idea of a tutorial with voiceovers to ease novices into the series is one that's been needed.
>Environmental interactions
Looks interesting, we'll have to wait and see just how powerful they are before passing judgement.
>Too easy
Monster hunter has always been breakable (para/sleepbombing) hopefully this one is more balanced but don't say the game is "casualized" when Hame has existed.
>Open world means more downtime
Maybe, once again this is something we'll need more information about to understand. Tracking a monster is a lot more fun for a new player than wandering the whole map until you find the right zone.

Replacing a non-mechanic with a mechanic is never a bad thing.

Agreed. The core gameplay of Monster Hunter hasn't changed much throughout the entire series. I complained about this before, but MH fans always rage at people wanting the game to innovate. We've been literally getting the same game, title after title, with each title only adding on gimmicks and new weapons.

Just wait a few years, it'll be worth picking up in a GOTY edition, patched and with all the DLC in all likelihood. Even if the AI isn't better by then, mods will have fixed the problem.

It's a sleeper.
Some things are better, some much worse. I imagine next year it'll be worth it when it's patched, the DLC is all out, and mods fix the AI.

When I was 6, I got Mega Man 3 for the NES. I played that allt he time. Then I got Mega man X, and I was blown away. These games were my childhood. Mega Man, Rush, Roll, Wily and Protoman were my friends that I didn't make at school. Mega Man was my secret little world, where I could escape the problems around me. Then I got Mega Man legends, and I was immediately sucked into that world. My teenage years were defined by playing that game over and over again.

A couple of years ago, I was invited on here to play a flash game online.
the concept of the game was you were selling lollipops, but it had no real animations, in fact the characters were just stickmen.
I don't know where to find it and don't know why I want to find it but I just do, please can you help?

Planescape: Torment has mediocre combat but the best writing of any Infinite Engine game. You also dearly need to play patched KOTOR 2.
More recently, Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Shadowrun: Hong Kong are both a ton of fun.

Pillars had a tryhard story that didn't really go anywhere. The combat was alright. Same goes for Underrail.
Planescape Torment is the complete opposite from what I hear. Good story, bad gameplay.
Not sure what else.

I bought it in the PSN offer.
I played until you learn the "Ro" word.
Not bad, but the exploring is very slow and the combat is sooooo lazy and boring, even the few magic that I could try.
Some tips/builds/tricks to make it fun?
