Can someone explain the philosophy of the MGS series? MGS3 is one of my favorite games but I never understood the ideas of The Boss and how they played into the later series. I get the anti-nuke stuff but the rest kind of just goes over my head.

The Boss' will and her speech at the end of 3 are essentially the catalyst of the series.
Big Boss and Zero both misunderstood her will, and created their own organizations to promote her will, and both of them thought she wanted a world where soldiers are always needed, when in reality, she wanted the opposite of that or some shit.
Thanks to this, 50 in-game years of pointless shit goes down, climaxing in her 90 year old son pretending to be a flamboyant clone of her other """"son""""" fights a different clone of her other """"son""""", leading to her real son's death and the clone trying to an hero but he gets interrupted by Big Boss and some dude in a coma so he can talk about how much pussy he missed out on

Is this worth buying?
I got 100hrs in original PD2 but I dropped it right after they introduced CS:GO crate system.
But seeing as how they have 50+ heists and lots of characters/guns I am intrigued to pick it up again. I miss heisting, desu, not many good MP games out there at this point.
