Steam boxes still piss me off. Hey, let's have 18 different boxes so casuals have no idea what to buy!

If they had 3 or 4 different boxes that varied in power, then people could wrap their heads around that. They could say "Hey. This box is a decent PC and this one is high-end. I can easily make a decision on what to buy." Instead, you get a clusterfuck and no one is the wiser.

Valve should stick to avoiding the number 3 and making money off of Steam sales. It's what they're best at.

But it means they're the bitch of Windows forever. It means no one has any real reason to make SteamOS ports.

If there was even 1 million Steamboxes out there, then making SteamOS ports would be viable.

Games are going to be primarily for Windows and nothing else as long as DirectX is the API that all developers use. If Linux/MacOS are to gain any ground they need to shill the fuck out of Vulkan.

When Konami stepped in the prologue was the only thing that was finished, so they shoved that out the door as Ground Zeroes.
The rest of the game was basically non-existent, so they turned the place into a sweatshop and rushed it into something marketable
