DO IT WITH INTENSITY

Y'know it only just occurs to me I don't know of other 00 agents other than Bond and Sean Bean.
>>383970243
They're probably off doing shit like James Bond. He just happens to be the guy with the coolest name, so he gets all the books/movies/games. We could've gotten Ben Johnson, 004.
>>383970502
But how do you know agent 002 isn't Max Thunderson?
>This update requires a system restart. Restart the computer now?
>Hit no
>Game works just fine with no errors
Do you think getting the Woolsey treatment helped or hurt Square's games during the SNES era?
The GBA version of FF6 even kept some of his lines although it went for a more literal translation overall.
Secret of Mana was not the best translation work, but the man himself said it nearly killed him since he only had 30 days to complete everything.
What are some other games that have handled localization well or poorly?
Well, I'll let the thread die a natural death and try on /vr/. I doubt there's folks old enough here to even know who Ted Woolsey is anymore.
There's not a lot of interest becausel ocalizations are all sterile and the only ones that get any attention are nintendo's attrocious ones with tons of censorship.
It's rare that you get something with a notable translation one way or the other. People just take translating games for granted. It's why AG doesn't even do much work anymore.
although I will say this machine translated, $50 full price retail release certainly made me think twice about ever buying a video game again. I felt like I got scammed ultra fucking hard.

>Do you think getting the Woolsey treatment helped or hurt Square's games during the SNES era?
I think it helped them, but I'm more of a fan of faithful translations. I can't really judge them since I only played the SNES versions of V and VI, though lines like your pic and "spoony bard" becoming kind of famous proves that it did stick with the players.
Would you commit to an open relationship if it meant you get to date someone significantly more attractive than you, /v/?

Is this the best One Piece game not exclusive to the fighting game genre?
For now.
>Unprecedented One Piece Game (Platforms Unknown)
>The game is code-named “Dawn” and is being developed in collaboration between Shueisha, Toei Animation, and Bandai Namco.
>It is an “unprecedented One Piece game.” (In other words, it has not been done before.)
>It is a game with an unheard of, super new feeling.
>The original author, Eiichiro Oda, is cooperating on development.
>Planning and conception is taking quite some time.
>It’s an enormous game. The setting and music from the anime are being poured into the game.
Nostalgia threads on /v/ are always the best. Our present can become such a fucking mumbo-jumbo overcomplicated mess where everywhere we look there are hidden agendas that sometimes, I just like to reminisce about a simpler, more care-free time. The past is long gone, but the emotion back then still feels so concrete.
Nostalgia is honestly getting me thru a rough time. I'm in a far away big city, temporary living situation looking for work and then an apartment. Its overwhelming and depressing. Feeling bleak and depressed I dug deep down and started listening to ff ost's and time splitters 2 stuff. Somehow it reminded me of when I had hope for life. Godbless final fantasy viii is all I can say. I'm feeling courage. I am squall traveling to dollet for the first time, nervous but ready for battle

Wish you all the best anon. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, it eases the pain but it can't get you far. Try to find something that makes your daily life worthwhile again.
I'm having the mmo itch again, bored of all games and need something to dump years of my life into.
Are there any good mmos coming soon that are like the good old days?still waiting for pso2 to come out in the west
