You just gotta power through the first 10-15 minutes, then after that maybe you start getting into it.

Play whatever you feel like playing, even if it is not from your backlog.
That's what got me going again.
Feel like replaying mario bros 3 for the one hundred time? do it.
Feel like playing a mmo? do it.
Whatever you feel like playing, play it. Don't force yourself to play new shit or new games just to "complete your backlog".

Just bought 2 from walmart the other day. One for me and one for my brother who going out of country for 3 years.

It was ok. Buddy turned out to be a real bitch though.

Great game, Joyful ruined what was a very compelling setting and the gameplay was hurt really badly by not having the party mechanic.

I loved Reach but it's not the best at anything

Can't speak for the 1k but it's pretty good on the 3k, as long as you don't mind using frameskip. Some pseudo-3D games like F-zero don't play well but anything 2D is fine.
If you don't own a PSP yet, get a 3k or a Go.
If you already have a 1k, just try it and see, there's no downside to installing CFW anymore.

Total Warhammer is pretty close. It's all strategy gameplay, but the new generals system, where you have a single dude instead of an elite unit on the battle map, scratches the itch for me.
