Which games have a large loot list and a satisfying rewarding system.
???
I want a game where my gold/money is represented in a huge pile/stacks ala payday 2
>>385502160
>>385502659
I have that but I gave up on trying to fix the broken resolution. Installed a bunch of software and packages and nothing changed
Alright, I'm going to start a second playthrough of New Vegas soon after like 3 years of not playing it, but this time I want some mods. So what are the best ones?
So far I've downloaded project Nevada, Nevada skies, weapon mods expanded.
Also, in which order should I play the DLC? I'd like to play from worst to best.
Lastly,New Vegas thread
>>385501769
Anon the game is 6 years old and we've had consistent discussion ever since it came out because it's the best western RPG in the last 20 years. It's the definition of /v/core.
>>385501692
Just go on Nexus and find the ones you like. It's been a while since I last played it but there. are some core mods I always play with such as all the fan patches, DarnUI, Project Nevada, texture packs, and more. Someone should have a pastebin for recommended mods. The order you should play the DLC is release order.
>Dead Money
>Honest Hearts
>Old World Blues
>Lonesome Road
That said the quality goes HH > LR > DM > OWB. HH is decent but short with great writing. LR is good but a slight let down. DM and OWB are both stellar and don't let the casuals meme you about how much they dislike DM for being actually difficult.
>>385502349
>DM above LR and HH
C'mon, man. I don't like it because it's difficult, most of the DLCs are pretty easy, and DM is one of the easiest. I like it because it'sfun and has good atmosphere.
>it's the best western RPG in the last 20 years
You're thinking of Barkley Gaiden.
How can one game be so great even though its so buggy?
It introduces new ideas instead of taking them away in sequels.
Dungeons are actual dungeons.
Combat is more complex
The world actually feels vast.

That's the bethesda magic

Substance over style. That kind of RPG are from a time when devs wanted to make good games above all.
>""""Western Indie Developers"""""
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCdx9Sd1JxI
Why are these pretentious fucks are allowed to make video games?
>Makes The Witness, a shitty 40$ Collect the Dots game that received good reviews just because of dem graphics though and also because it's an indie game
>Tries BOTW live on the world's worst stream
>Keeps referring to Link as a 12 year old kid and how Japan always get away with this
>dissing the game for not holding his hand
>"DUDE IT'S 2017 THIS SHOULDN'T EXIST IN CURRENT YEAR"
>Fucks up countless times, blames the game and the talented Japanese developers behind it
>Shits on Nintendo every minute just because it's cool to do that
Keep in mind this guy is a video games developer. Even DSP is less faggot compared to this guy.
Why are Western developers the worst fucking developers in terms of skills and attitude in the gaming industry? When will they learn?
I think you may have made a mistake here, OP, you said "developers" but you linked to a video of featuring only one man. Don't worry, maybe some day you'll make a good thread.
>whhiiine, someone's shitting on my baby nintendo game
Fuck off
>>385501503
OP considering how many fucking times you post this link, the very least you could do is make a highlights video. I'm not gonna watch 4 hours of this crap.
Go play Banjo-Kazooie right the fuck now.
Absolutely not
Do I look like a 5-year old?
>>385501318
Yes, in that case, don't play it. It's the Dark Souls of 3D platformers.
What games have the funnest turn-based combat?
Can turn based combat even be fun?
X-COM
P5
Disgaea, ZHP
What was the point of making super nova a two minute long animation in the international release?
>>385500952
Why not?
>>385500952
It's supposed to reinforce the idea that you're fighting against an entity with the power of a godlike deity. It doesn't really get any more obvious than that.
>>385500952
Style, it makes the fight memorable
Let's have one of these threads.
Bare with my blog post, /v/. Also note, I never played a RPG game other than Paper Mario.
>downloaded the demo
>finish the level after talking to Dutch
>get to the temple and read some of history at the archives
>get sent on my first mission which is New Eden
>killed most of the federal cops despite me trying to stealth
>get killed like 5-8 times from them and that laser sniper(?)
>have to hack a telecom which took 5 minutes of me trying to understand how hacking functions.
>go to the store and managed to get him to do stuff for me
>go back to my mentor and asks for more stuff
It feels like I'm doing something completely wrong. Was I supposed to kill all the federal cops or stealth it? The hacking is a bit confusing, I'm honestly hoping that it was just me being retarded.
Also, E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy thread?
>>385499619
Hacking is essentially just a JRPG except in real time, read what the buttons do and it should click.
Also just do whatever works.
>>385499682
>JRPG in real time
that's what I figured. It seems based to be on RNG?
>>385499619
You can't really do too much wrong in this game. Just slowly figure it out as you go. I got spoonfed images of starting strats and guides and I regret not going into it blind. I still love the shit out of this game though. My tip is to just start out in heavy ass armor for awhile until you get used to how units move and attack. Then you get to learn to go fast. Also invest in your legs.
Can anyone recommend me good rpgs from 2000 to this date that are unknown or underrated, are not Xeno titles or are not from square enix?

Why are Japanese games the only ones that focus on having great music and bosses?
Japanese AAA do it cause they have some notion of must having boss fights
West AAA tries it but somehow fucks up the fights even if the music is good.
West indie has been hitting strides within the last couple years though, nothing ground breaking but stuff that makes you acknowledge that it's good
>>385499358
Bosses are too "gamey" for western developers
>>385499358
Because the West doesn't like Boss Battles because they're too videogamey. Having a confrontation that tests all the knowledge and skills you've accumulated in the game thus far breaks immersion, you see. It's better to reach a more mental enlightenment that just fighting it out, you silly boy.
Are there any video games that let me do something like this?
>>385499273
>he has never played any stratergy game
The Hobbit trilogy was shit
>>385499273
You mean direct terrible, terrible battle scenes?
Your appointment to FEMA should be finalized within the week, I have already discussed the matter with the Senator.
Thanks Bob.

Saints Row 2
Whatcha makin? I've only made one level so far, it's pretty standard nothing too crazy. Level ID 74800 if you want to give it a go.
>>385498521
Nobody really cares about Mega Maker, which is a shame.
>>385499147
It seems to have a pretty active community at least, seems like a good chunk of levels get made all the time. Always new stuff to play. Kinda wish they would make the online stuff better though, like being able to rate difficulty or follow creators.
>>385499147
I think a lot of people (including myself) are just sick of classic mega man. We got 9, 10, and the street fighter cross over. I want X, Zero, Legends, etc.
