Reminder that this scene had literally 0 emotional impact and those who think otherwise would probably tear up at a cereal commercial or are just circlejerking around because some faggots fell for a meme.
It's LITERALLY impossible to feel any sort of emotional impact with the scene, you simply cannot force players to feel attached to generic, randomly generated soldiers with randomly generated ANIMAL names who the player never gets a chance to interact with.
It's really no different from those games or movies where a character meets another one and they say hi to each other and 5 minutes later the other character gets kidnapped so they have to shove a "romance" in there to justify the rescue.
It was terrible writing and absolutely not emotional at all, this is factual and cannot be debated.
The trailer hyped it way up, idiots fell for it. Scene was ruined even more by the way the game just exited it, "okay wrap it up, back to the menu."

Ok.
>>385681517
You're right, OP
But the phantom pain is the deepest, everlasting emotional impact we can have
...it still hurts
This is the only Xbox One exclusive so far this year. Appreciate in this thread.
>>385681249
Umm.... No sweetie you forgot Voodoo Vince remastered and Phantom Dust remastered. Get it right next time!
>exclusive
Maybe a Microsoft exclusive...
Remember back when exclusives would make or break a console? They don't even care about exclusivity anymore. Might as well have a PC.
How's that physical collection going /v/?
dumb phoneposter
>>385681036
>that tiny ps2 collection
breddy gud
I'm finally playing through this game for the first time and the farther I get the more fun it gets.
I was a big fan of the type of Castlevania we got before this dropped, but what do you think? did this game ruin the future of Castlevania as a platformer or did you like where the series went after this?
It wasn't this game that ruined the future of the series, but rather, the policies of Konami.
Firstly, they ported the shit to handhelds which was a capital mistake, but they wished to pander the Nipponese kids, so the titles also got greatly casualized, animefied and generally unpolished.
The quality of art department's work drastically fell, including both the visuals and the OST, and this didn't change somewhere until Ecclesia, when it was too late to begin with.
tl;dr series seppuku'd itself when the target crowd became Nipponese kids

As much as I enjoy the Classic styled games they had to evolve at some point. They're all pretty samey and at the time SotN came out a short arcadey platformer like Castlevania was doomed to come across as dated.
If SotN didn't exist Konami's failure to find a good foundation for 3D Castlevania would have killed the series off a lot sooner.
>>385681653
>so the titles also got greatly casualized
SotN might be the easiest title in the series, with OoE, the last true Castlevania game, being among the hardest. CotM is also clearly much more difficult than SotN. And really, probably every other handheld title most likely. You clearly haven't played the games.
Now that amiibos are blocking out entire modes, how do you feel about them lately?
Bad, in a sense Iknew this would happen because we've been on the trend for years of gaming companies using some new cool thing to slowly erode consumer's benefits in the market and force them into shenanigans
Thankful that they mercifully aren't making any Pokémon ones (besides the sm4sh ones obviously).
>>385680108
>Modern Metroid
They deserve it for being so genuinely toxic and whining the second Nintendo notices them and gives them not one but two games.
Ooh! Majestic! hunter is a hunter even as a figuma.
I didn't expect this quality of coloring, they put a lot of budget apparently.
>>385680098
>covered in yellow Kin gunk
>not blood
Where is guiding moonlight?
Is Super Metroid an unabashed masterpiece or are there glaring flaws?
>>385679532
It's not perfect, but its flaws are heavily outweighed by all the things it does right.
>>385679617
Phantoon needs to be removed from existence.
>>385679951
I never had much trouble with it, myself. But I rarely go after it early.
>tfw tomb raider will never be pre-sjw again
>>385679380
Never say never. The series could always be re-rebooted once the political correctness fad blows over.
>>385679504
It's never going away for as long as those fucks have their twitter, facebook, youtube and tumblr.
Why did they even reboot the series? Wasn't Angel of Darkness, Legend and Underworld already a reboot
Y...you g...guys s...still l...like m...meee .... r...right?

That style of typing

I don't think I could ever hate you. You Made one of the best games ever made.
Who was he? Why was he in there?
He's a mad moldy meatball. He has anger issues and is behind bars for domestic violence
what a weird fucking character when you think about it
marty dindu nuffin
Just imagine how amazing it would be.
And not just local co-op, but full online co-op functionality.
>>385678771
No, its shit. There's nothing more souless than a jrpg with no written party members. That works for D&D style western games to a point, but in Jrpgs you need the hook of the main cast backing up your self insert MC. Especially since these games have no traditional role playing elements in the narrative. IX is easily worst DQ
>>385679478
It's pretty good with a friend.
Best equip customization in the series.
Vocation system is top notch too.
but would it have voice acting and orchestra :^)
What happened?
That was a good game desu
>catching the biker mob as a semi right after they finish a jump
>just bulldozing through them
>>385678597
Apocalypse fucked it up spectacularly. Especially since you can only unlock new stuff with online play.
that was one of the dumbest things I've seen done to a game
>>385678597
Honestly, this series was dope as fuck. Pacific Rift is one of my fave racing games. Didn't get the attention it deserved due to PS exclusivity. I only got to these games at my buddy's place
Is it at all possible that older games could still have mysteries left to uncover, or does modern data mining render that utterly impossible?
>extract gta3.img files
>find like 50 beta unused character models
>no retarded bigfoot model to be found
gee I don't know
Well I know how to find Bigfoot in San Andreas. No data miner has yet found out how to do it, so I guess yeah it's possible.
I saw Bigfoot once but didn't have any AA batteries for my digital camera.
Fate/Extella thread.
Holy FUCK Tamamo is weak. How do you even deal damage as her?
Karna is so fucking slow he is practically useless.
Am I missing something or is this route going to be as much as a slog as it seems?Whores of babylon not allowed
fate/go posting allowed but you better be posting art

The GBA only had a decent library, just barely beating the PSP.
I thought the GBA had a good library. It had a metric fuckton of shovelware, but its good games were very very good.
OP is a faggot.
barely beating is still beating
