Why does Bethesda put in mirror worlds outside their walled cities in their open world RPGs? Seriously after all this time I still don't really understand.
Mirror worlds?
>>388164829
pre loaded assets.
>>388164829
You mean the low poly version of the main worldspace
Why are there no war games that take place in Afghanistan and Iraq? Or anywhere in the recent Middle East? Considering the most war heroes alive today are veterans of that region, it shouldn't be too hard to research.
For some self loathing Nu Males have turned into huge Middle East apologists.
what the fuck are you talking about?
>>388165103
>this.
legitimately 90%of war games made since the late 2000's have been set in the middle east. starting with ghost recon dessert storm if im not mistaken.
You chose the best ending, right /v/?
>>388166446
Well I'd go with the Institute next time

It was pretty shitty after flying battery
>No Zone transitions after Press Garden (Save 1)
This annoyed me
How the fuck is this supposed to be something you'd memorize to do without looking
it's just simple button combinations anon, this isn't that difficult..
You play the game a lot.
What exactly is your question?
>>388164050
90% of shit is either the fireball or uppercut motion in either direction, and a varying button press.
Anyone here interested at all in Absolver? Devolver usually publishes good things, and this seems like a fun fighting game that you can bring friends along in. I like the various fighting styles, but the fighting deck seems kind of overly complicated. It could feel more natural when you're actually in control though.
I haven't seen too much hype for it beyond them giving streamers early copies, but that almost seems standard at this point.
>Devolver usually publishes good things
I've enjoyed exactly 0 games from them.
The grouping system seems like hot garbage. Its too easy to break groups or need to send invites and backtrack
>>388164005
>Not enjoying Shadow warrior
>Not enjoying Serious Sam
>not enjoying Hotline Miami
>not enjoying The talos principle
>not enjoying Enter the gungeon
>not enjoying Broforcein split screen
Shit taste my friend.
Alright /v/, what's your GOTY so far and do you think it'll change before the end of the year?
Honestly I don't know if I even have one. This year has offered a good amount, sure, but I feel like none of them really stuck out as GOTY material. Maybe it's because I wasn't really that hyped for anything this year. Titanfall 2 was my GOTY last year, but this year I'm not so sure what I'd pick.
>>388164852
Horizon. Hopefully. It's just the one game I played that was actually released this year. Everything else I've dropped for the moment.
>>388165078
Titanfall 2 has dog shit art design.
What are your thoughts on this game?
>please don't post THAT
Never played it except for the first Spyro, but this one looks like a furry's wet dream. The game is nothing but anthropomorphic animals.
Wasn't terrible but couldn't live up to any of the original games
you mean this?

We're about due for another Direct, right? I expect one to happen at least before Odyssey comes out.
If they don't announce something new that isn't racing fighting a port or some other shit I'm going to sell my switch.
yea im surprised we havent gotten one recently considering Mario + Rabbids comes out in five days.
We'll almost definitely have one between now and the end of September because of Tokyo Game Show.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE HOLY SHIT
Any vidya ever make you cry?
Persona 5's Beneath the Mask got pretty damn close. I teared up super hard.
>>388164615
I choked up a bit at the ending to MGS3 because way to fall by starsailor hit me hard but that's about it
I cried tears of rage at one particular boss in ZoE 2 which also caused me to break a controller for the first time
I feel like video games don't evoke "sad" emotions nearly as well as other mediums
I remember crying a ""lot""" at the end of that one anime with the white haired ghost girl and only the MC being able to see her but then again that was the only time I could remember that happening
I think you really need to get yourself in the mood, you need to want to cry, sort of forcing the emotion to come out
I do this regularily enveloping myself in depressing emotions because it feels good in a sense
It's a familiarity I can't shake
>>388165364
>I think you really need to get yourself in the mood, you need to want to cry, sort of forcing the emotion to come out
Yeah the song did that for me. The lyrics struck a cord inside, it described how I feel about life to a T. It was surreal the first time I heard the song.
>>388165521
sucks bro, hope you're doing better
Another thing that made me almost cry was in ME3 when Tali killed herself because I didn't have enough good boy points
It was mostly the shock but still, holy fuck man
>see all the PUBG shitposting on /v/
>start feeling like playing The Culling after not playing for six months
>two players online in North America
How did Battlegrounds manage to kill The Culling when it's double the price and twice as hard to run? It didn't deserve to die so young.
the devs killed the culling really
>>388163309
This. Game was amazing for almost a month after release and then the devs literally ruined everything with every single decision they ever made about the gameplay. Plus almost 0 new content.
Takes too long to get a gun, you can get a gun in 10 seconds in PUBG, but you'll be playing for 10 minutes before you see a bullet in the Culling.
What went wrong?
Nothing, it's finally perfect.
>>388163142
It's not out.
