I was impressed by this scene, mostly because this is what I'm doing in school during classes.

I just finished watching all twin peaks episodes in a week, for the very first time. Here's my assessment

The first season is the best.
The second season, becomes increasingly more cliched sitcom as it goes. But it's not bad. I only wished they spent less time with James and Donna. Their characters had nothing to do after a certain point, and their plot lines are terrible. Like, really, does it matter if Donna is adopted or not? Who fucking cares.
The third season is nearly unwatchable. I would have dropped it 2 episodes in, if I wasn't already invested in the characters and their development. The pacing is absolutely atrocious. For some reason, they let the characters dick around on screen for FAR longer than reasonable. It's almost like they were trying to get the actors to improve, but they had no good material, and so they don't say anything for extended periods of time. And instead of editing out all the dead air, where nothing is happening, they left it all in. 8 episodes in, and we're still doing Weekend at Bernie's shtick with Cooper. It's getting fucking old. MOVE THE STORY ALONG ALREADY.

Last episode, there was a scene where a man is simply sweeping, for a good time. About the length of a song. Just sweeping. At least in season 1, when they let the scene linger, something interesting was happening. Either weirdness, or a funny exchange. But not season 3. Season 3 loves to linger on all the mundane shit. Who's the fuck that makes this shit? David Lynch? Someone tell him to stop using his cum napkins as script pages, and actually write a goddamn story.

Oh, also the first couple of episodes were ESPECIALLY bad, because of how much trippy sequences they were doing. The first season handled it great. The show hooks you with this murder mystery, and some quirkiness. And then it ramps up into crazy red room *after* it's already intrigued you.
Season 3 has it backwards. There's not reason to give a shit about the trippy stuff at the beginning, because there's not foundation to even *speculate* what it all means.
And then finally cooper comes back to the real world, and he's too incapacitated to speculate about his time in the lodge.
So for 8 episodes, it's just dry trippy scenery, with no lube.
