Are there any characters that could reuse Mysterio's parts? Shocker is the only other quilt fabric costume guy I can think of, but he has a diamond pattern rather than boxes.

Fuuuuuck me this is disappointing. Looks like absolute shit. Doesn't have the amazing grey/aqua color scheme from the comics or the original toy, it uses those ugly-ass tendrils from Superior Venom, doesn't have the right kind of hand OR foot claws, and worst of all, it just looks shrimpy. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Shit, I even prefer the sculpt on the old one, I was waiting for this update but now I'm kind of inclined to just re-buy the oldie since I lost mine years ago.

Well, maybe he'll at least have different feet by the time he hits the market. It's odd that they'd make Lasher first. Riot could essentially be a gray repaint of the Venom body (without even needing to do any symbol on the chest), and that would be a lot more excusable.

Also I would've preferred Scream or She-Venom or something, something that would force them into making female-proportioned symbiote claws which they could then use for all the other girl ones. They all have much more streamlined looks compared to Lasher or Phage or another Toxin.

In other news I did find the Mantis wave in the wild for the first time yesterday. Found Rocket at GameStop. He was the only one out of the wave and I got him already so I passed. Also FYE had a bunch of legends. They had the entire Titus wave and a good deal of the Sandman wave. FYE was the only place that had Sandman around here.

I think that cape should be a little closer on the back, it looks like you could slide your whole finger through the space between the curve and the back of his shoulders. Can't imagine he'll stand that well on his own unless they bring it down a little so it touches the ground.

Well, he did soooorta look like the ML in the Spiderman Unlimited game. Sorta.

I'm completely perplexed as to why they would ignore his most popular appearance though, ie comic and old toy. Many thin tendrils on his back, not these gross ropy ones. Grey and aqua/light blue color scheme. Very distinctive long narrow eyes with a fully black "mouthplate," which the new head seems to ignore.

Lasher was my favorite figure from the Planet of the Symbiotes line--his sculpt and color scheme were awesome, and he was more articulated than the others too. I've been waiting for an updated toy for over a decade and I could not possibly be more disappointed.

He was not as grey as the old toy shows, but he certainly did have a distinct pale color going down the middle of his body. Sometimes it looks like a pale green, and others it looks teal.
