Old thread (>>6411245) is on autosage. Continue here.
What is the best sizeclass and why is it the (sadly defunct) Scout class?
>>6413164
..those aren't good examples of scout goodness man, and they didn't die, just became "legends".
>>6413169
>they didn't die, just became "legends".
that double meaning is just amusing congrats
>>6413169
You better not be talking shit about my boy Smolder.
>>6413185
Hes no Breacher besi..holeey shit, this was unexpected.

>>6413190
Holy shit we had the same idea
>>6413190
If only the MASK dude was HA compatible, hope theres other way to get ROM.
>>6413191
Wait. Is there a new visionaries toyline?
>>6413191
lol, go ahead dude, post the rest.
>>6413192
Wow, is that Robotman from Microman?
>Celebrate the heroic Auto bot scout with the Bumblebee Evolution 3-Pack

>1977 Chevrolet Camaro from Movie 1 converts in 12 steps
>1967 Chevrolet Camaro from Movie 4 converts in 18 steps
>2016 Chevrolet Camaro from Movie 5 converts in 17 steps
Who asked for this?
>>6413194
Dunno but I got a feeling they're special edition g1 joes basically aka one time only
>>6413195
I can only see one more from the allspark, any more?
But I like how you think
>>6413198
Think so, personally I want dat rom
>>6413192
Fuck, these look good. I mean, Jetfire's just the Takara version, but Matt Trakker? Action Man? Rom?
>>6413199
> 67 Bee
> 77 Bee
When did they release more than one old Bee?
>>6413199
TFW has individual pics of most of the set, micronauts got closer group shots.
>>6413198
It's Biotron from Micronauts, but... yes.
>>6413202
Huh, I guess I didn't realize Movie 4 Bee was an old Camero. I assumed he was one of those modern retro cars that seem to be the thing these days.
>>6413192
That's all I can see, damnit forgot the image
>>6413203
I'll post as long as my net holds
>>6413207
AoE Bee was a older model but more well liked. The first movie Beaterbee was the cheapest one they could get with chrome bumpers.
>>6413212
Ok the deco is exactly the same as the legends version, or close to it.
Sheesh, hasbro could of used the chrome here but oh well, easier to handle
>>6413217
Now the rom...I do quite like.
Anyone really want the rest?
>>6413216
Suffolk County, Sun Vet mall
>>6413214
Probably not, but you'll most definitely find someone willing to split a set. I've already seen people who only want Rom or Action Man or Roadblock.
>>6413217
Kind of annoying when they do stuff like this...
Instead of getting the attention of hard core Jetfire fans, they are just warding them off by offering a version of the figure they likely already have.
At least make something exclusive about the deco.
>>6413219
Show me that leoric
>>6413219
>>6413228
Done~
>>6413227
A new mold now WOULD be cool as sort of a preview, but I guess because he's still in this form in he comics its still viable.
Really using that chrome now WOULD have been an acceptable use
>>6413192
I wonder if that Robotman will fit inside the third party one...
>>6413231
Oh come on... is it that hard to make a holofoil sticker?
>>6413235

>>6413199
I wish the clear blue windows was on the Hasbro one.
>>6413242
colours are too simmiliar maybe instead go for Command Ravage and Blue Shadowhawk decos instead.
>>6413242
They are worse toys than the Energon ones, so what is the point?
>>6413212
Also is that a renagades style roadblock?
>>6413266
You tell me
>>6413192
They are really lucky I didn't jump on legends Jetfire yet... seems kinds risky making the centerpiece of the set a toy people could already have.
>>6413244
Fine, Energon Sixshot fucking when?
It's weird how they went with AM Shockwave for G2 Bruticus instead of something that actually got a matching camo paint job.
>>6413277
I just realised you can't really see the camo in robot mode. Here's a better one.
>>6413277
Maybe in a couple of years? it took 5-6 years to get most of Armada "iconic" characters and so far Energon got just an Ironhide homage repaint in Cloud Roadbuster.
We'll get a voyager Shockwave sooner tho.
>>6413277
the good ol' "invert-the-colors" repaints.
>>6413231
Idk if you guys knew but Hasbro is making The Hasbro Cinematic Universe which will include Micronauts,Visionaries,G.IJoe,ROM,M.A.S.K.
Also,Boulder Media is working on TF G1 2D cartoon reboot and Micronauts cartoon for 2018 so we can expect new toys. Visionaries is going to get a cartoon too with M.A.S.K. and G.I.Joe with ROM will get only movies.
The movies will start from 2020 with G.I.Joe reboot.

The truck grill forms the underside of his feet and has a few moving parts. They decided all of that should be chrome.
It's a nice leader but it's definitely outdated and pretty bulky. The chrome nightmare they added is gonna mean he'll be one of those "transform maybe once, pick a pose, put him on your shelf and never touch again" guys.
If not for his lack of forward/back ankle movement and his backpack, he'd be an excellent figure. As is, Evacuation is still pretty nice.
Was this boy bayformer Scoop?
>>6413571
All 5 figures got new head sculpts, premium decco's and they threw in extra weapons and an arms micron for good measure as Hellbat's breastforce animal. I guess they burned through the whole budget.

>>6413651
Who's Captain Power? Is he that Hydra guy they talk about over in /co/?
>>6413640

>>6413653
It was a short lived 80s toy/tv show. The show was live action and had a toy interaction gimmick. The toy vehicles were fighter spaceships with infrared immitters and receivers that were used as sort of a laser tag game. You could fire at eachother, and three hits would eject your pilot. On the tv show, a target(or multiple targets) would appear and you'd try to hit them, while certain patterns of light in the screen would trigger your reciever and give you a hit.
It was a cool idea in concept, but the technology wasn't quite there and the tv interaction feature didn't work particularly well. Still fun toys tho.
>>6413670
Sounds familiar. I think I remember reading an article about it in an old ToyFare back in the day.
>>6413670

>>6413651

>>6413571
Because Hasbro wanted Liokaiser to retain the utility of having hands and feet that are interchangeable and can turn into guns.
Just got Voyager TLK Hound today, is he impossible to stand for anyone else? I love his wheel splitting feet, but it doesn't seem like he has any heels at all...
>>6413227
Jetfire is more for the TF casuals who are intrigued by him. Next to soundwave, JEtfire is one of the biggest casual baits for anyone interested in G1, because his design is so iconic and its ties to Macross/Robotech.
It is funny to think how this is basically Hasbro's scalps from aquisitions of other company's toylines.Rom was fromParker brothers, which merged with Kenner, and then Hasbro. Action Man was licensed to Palitoy, which then got incorporated into GI Joe, and Palitoy was merged with Hasbro. Micronats were also from takara, licensed by Mego, which is now dead. Hasbro and TakaraTomy are BFFs, so no surprise they'd get the license eventually. MASK was Kenner, also acquired by Hasbro. Jetfire was, again, a Takatoku toys figure based off Macross' VF-1S. So out of the whole box set, only the GI Joe and Visionaries representatives are wholly original.
Also, its actually really cool, and I'm gonna buy a set. I'm glad I drug my feet on Jetfire now.
>>6413748
Push the front end of his tires down in robot mode so they touch the ground. Helps a lot.

>>6413613
I've said it a couple times, but 2007 Optimus is still a pretty impressive figure, and if he wasn't meant to be the movie design specifically, just a new Optimus for a new line, I think he'd be better regarded. He's a bit kibbly, but his vehicle mode was really impressive and event hough he doesn't replicate the movie details perfectly, the amount of detail work on him was incredible.

Yeah the Basics/Scouts line was great. we had over a decade of generally good figures. They kept killing the size class and bringing it back, but every time they came back, it was a treat. In Beast wars, they evolved from gimmicky but fin things, to impressively engineered figures. They were dead in RiD and armada, relegated to repaints or minicons, but then the energon Omnicons were full of cool ideas and fresh transformations, and honestly held up better than a lot of other Armada/Energon figures. then Cybertron continued to improve. The first movie line had the Real gear stuff, which was cool, but not quite the same. Sat out Classics and Animated. Then we got the glorious return in ROTF. SAdly, it feels like Cyberverse killed it. And I liked Cyberverse, but losing Scouts was a shame.
>>6413169
No. Legends are absolutely not the same. Just look at the two windcharagers and tell me they're honestly the same, even accounting for size changes with classes in the last few years. I like Legends and all, but Scouts were better, and the fact that people are willing to just roll over and accept Legends quality for higher and higher prices is sad. As much as sizes have decreased and fluctuated, you still get, say, Deluxes as big as Beast era or movie 1 deluxes(UT and ROTF were freakishly big, and more of an exception, not the rule.), not many, but we do. We still get Voyagers around the size of past $15 or $20 figures. Legends are too big a hit from scouts for me to count them as the same.
>>6413806
>Just look at the two windcharagers
Oh c'mon thats unfair, RTS Windcharger is still one of the best scouts ever, its like comparing any voyager to Gen Springer.
what a great custom
>>6413846
its an xman dino bear
>>6413809
Its not so much a question of quality, but just size and construction. There's Legends better than scouts. But its clear to see the sizes of the two are completely different, even accounting for budget cuts.
>>6413847
Well, that figure turns specifically into a wolverine(probably the only transforming figure with a wolverine mode I know of), which is where the X-men thing comes up.
>>6413806
I actually like the Legends Windcharger more. He actually looks like Windcharger instead of a generic carformer with the hood-chest dealie. I'm an apologist for that mold, though. I think it gets a bad rap.
Truly pathetic indeed.
I love these two as rivals. A firefighter vs. a smoker, and both are unknown characters that trigger geewunners. It doesn't hurt that they're both repaints of phenomenal figures.
A scout sized tlk bee would scale just right to the voyager! So many post rotf scouts were fucking top drawer.
Also Steelbane is amazing and I put bong resin on the joints and it works amazingly well.

Yes. My devious intentions are to make people buy excellent figures. Although if you already have Wheeljack, you don't really need him. He's pretty good to fill out your Decepticon ranks, though. But if you're gonna get him, you may as well get Loudpedal. They make a great pair.
>>6413941
Nice. The new Hotrod is decent, but theres a lot better TR figures out there. I'd say grab Topspin, Hardhead, or Triggerhappy if you can.
>>6414094
I don't consider it to be Flywheels. I consider it to be a new character that happens to be Flywheels' Titan Master. Like Clobber is to Grimlock. Probably too headcanon, but I'd still prefer a full-body Flywheels regardless.

Kind of a shame Trailbreaker/cutter is dead. He's such a neat character. A big dude with a unique ability who underestimates his own worth and has a bit of a drinking problem. I like the idea of a big, black truck with forcefields, but his G1 design with the all-black face is fucking rubbish, so I'm not looking forward to his MP, and his Generations figure was kind of mediocre at best.
>>6414139
I loved Fangry in the new issue. If only Tailgate would stayed dead just for him to win.
>>6414151
>Kind of a shame Trailbreaker/cutter is dead
The comics are really killhappy. Kinda weird though that they do some many IDW styled toys though, when IDW has a habit of killing a lot of the guys that got figures based on those designs.
>>6414158
Bummer about kaput though.
>>6414173
>The comics are really killhappy.
They are and they aren't. They kill without remorse at times, but other characters keep cheating death to the point that it becomes annoying. I think in the grand scheme of comic death applications, they're in the middle of the road.
>>6413748
I just got him today, too. I wish his ankle wheels were detented.

>>6414148
Yeah I saw that jackass theory circulating on tumblr but aside from Damus and Kaon none of the others are even remotely possible and that's all it was: a theory.
>>6414335
I still would love to get a Tarn figure from Hasbro.
>>6413317
TLK still did well enough to warrant more movies being made
but because of the set up, that they're returning to cybertron to rebuild it, the next one can conceivably involve A) an almost entirely new team B) new humans and C) Optimus as a diplomatic leader of his people instead of a warrior
Next one could definitely take place a few years later with cybertronians sharing tech with humans, giving the whole movie a more futuristic feel a la the original cartoon movie.
>>6413509

Strange, I got like bunch of stuff last time they had a free shipping event. I am no where near US or their home location EU.
>>6414375
You've already got a 3P one by MMC, and an official-but-not-by-Hasbro-non-transforming (of a guy who was addicted to transformation) figure coming.
>>6414402
I have the 3rd party one and will preorder the Flame Toys one as soon as I can but I'd love to see what Hasbro shits out of him.
>>6414424
I don't think Hasbro is gonna do the TF equivalent of a gestapo officer who literally shoved people into an oven, said oven also being one of his team mates, in a line meant for kids.
>>6414430
Ive heard that so many times and is ridiculous when you consider Megatron is basically robot Hitler and they just put out Overlord who is arguably more horrible in every possible way than Tarn.
>>6414430
Overlord is just as bad as Tarn and they made him.
>>6414445
I'd love any of them I could get at this point.
>>6413192
So, are these little things the first Micronauts toys released during the IDW comic run?
It's just kind of funny that a comic based so closely on a toyline is well... toylineless at the moment.
Outside of budget restraints if you want the DJD you might as well just get the MMC ones.
>>6414449
Not so weird when you consider the past few toy lines for TF's have been trying to re-create toys from the 80's that haven't had a show to support them in ages that actually matched that aesthetic.
A bit weirder is them calling GI Joe their crown jewel, when that property has been on life support ever since we hit the 90's.

Isn't that because one of the higher ups loves it and has been using profits from the other franchises to keep it alive?
>>6414463
No idea. Anyone know how well GI Joe is doing? I know they dropped off hard after the 80's, and I don't think anyone is so fond of GI Joe EXXXXXXTRREEEEEMMMEEEE in the same way G2 TF's are kind of met with a "meh" reaction outside of stuff like yellow Devastator.
>>6414451
>mfw I bought an $85 figure to use as a chair
>mfw I would buy a bunch of other high quality furniture-former's if they made others
>>6414463
You are probably thinking of FunPub. They only got the TF license after the previous con runners botched things up in '03/'04 because they already had the Joe license and Hasbro made them take TF or risk losing Joe.
Guy who ran FunPub was a huge Joe fan, and did not care about or understand Transformers, but often siphoned off money they got from the convention to fund the Joe ones.
>>6414478
I dont know why but you're making me wish there was a figure that turned into a fridge.
>>6414487
>Guy who ran FunPub was a huge Joe fan, and did not care about or understand Transformers, but often siphoned off money they got from the convention to fund the Joe ones.
That sounds like the story I was thinking of, just couldn't remember exactly where it came from.
>>6414488
I'd totally get that. That would be great.
Fuck, where is my Household Goods line, Hasbro? Fridge, sofa, PC tower+monitor, big screen TV? We already got Rewind AND Soundwave as an ipad or whatever the fuck they're supposed to be.

It's not quite the same if it doesn't turn into a mountain dew machine, though
So much for exosuit spike for being the fort max toy head.
Unless the TM is a different mold
>>6414626
Luckluster, but he does the job of being accurate to the old toy at least
>>6414628
I'm guessing this is ramhorn's vehicle thingie?
Either way perceptor looks drab once again, I just added a dab of silver to his forhead and mine's toy accurate, overall other than the logo placement (which I like better) its not a big change color wise
>>6414630
Now not only is this deco bitchin, they honored the fact the shoulder dealies are from the universe deluxe and left them down but that deco despite lack of wing details is sexy.
Also he looks like he got 2 headmasters...and do my eyes decieve me, IS HE TRANSPARENT!?
ITS THAT MOTHER FUCKING GHOST STARSCREAM, WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE!?
>>6414626
Spike's face looks JUST-tier. Bee seems hella fine though, especially the yellow paint not sucking.
>>6414630
Fuck, should have gone Hasbro.
At least the eyes are cartoon-accurate.
>>6414633
>Ghost Starscream
MY DICK
>>6414638
They can paint the head but painting in some sort of human face is a bit of a stretch.
Man I never thought I'd see screamer in this line and look what takara gave us, if I use the head on something it ain't budging
>>6414628
Love the coloring, but I really want the guns from the TR set. I don't want the target master. If there is a huge hole on the top of the jet for the pegging the Targetmaster instead on the wing, I am out.
>>6414630
Looks the same as Hasbro's version
>>6414633
Looking good. But I got no love for the character.
Where is LG Blitzwing and overload?
>>6414642
>Love the coloring, but I really want the guns from the TR set. I don't want the target master. If there is a huge hole on the top of the jet for the pegging the Targetmaster instead on the wing, I am out.
Most likely a peg hole to match the previous 2 will be present
>Looks the same as Hasbro's version
Subtle changes, the biceps are in red now (TR was black), the flap inside the chest panel is red instead of silver, autobot symbol on chest door rather than belly button, and blue eyes forhead yellow rather than tr's yellow eyes UNPAINTED forhead, a slash of silver wouldn't of been hard but they got lazy.
>Where is LG Blitzwing and overload?
They'll be in the next round, most likely to be released early next year at this rate
Explain to me how MP prime can magically look like shit in some shots but awesome in others.
>>6414645
Design aesthetic, no matter how much magic they can pull a replica of movie optimus is hard to match, which is why the leader just looks damn good.
Where's its clear the mpm is akin to a revoltech, give him the right angles and he'll kick ass, stand him there and he'll be ass, least movie bee is free from this dilemma
>>6414645
Well you see, many of his limbs are only painted on one side.
Any chance we'll get a Hasbro take on Black Convoy? I love his design and look, but I still can't bring myself to spend $90
>>6414652
might as well go turd party for that price.
I really wonder if there will be LG Voyager Prime and Megatron basing on octone and BZ.
At this rate it seems the Megatron mold will be another exclusive for Takara
>>6414654
Honestly that guy is pretty rad, I just want the other because he'd scale well with all the combiner wars stuff I've grabbed.
Got Overlord today.
Sky Shadow is better.

Takara seems to be avoiding using any of the pretools (LG Scourge seems to be the exception). They haven't touched TR Sentinel Prime yet either.
>>6414704
So weird to see Scream without wings.
>>6414668
You mean you like him better, I am guessing.
Or are there mechanical issues?
>>6414704
Even though that looks like a shit custom, there's something cool about it.
>Buying Transformers not because I like them, but because they are on sale for ~25% off.
I've lost control of my life.
>starscream head
>No body
>but it is in this ghost color
>You can use the head to "posse' another bot
>It is like pottery
I got mp Road rage for 25% off, pretty sweet.
A few issues though, Vehicle mode has a big gap between the window and the hood that my Tracks doesn't have, and one wheel always seems to be off the ground.
I also don't like how there's no where on vehicle mode (not flight mode before someone fails to be smart) for the new gun to sit, lame.
>>6414724
>and one wheel always seems to be off the ground.
That's probably because you don't have the legs straightened up properly. Nothing really locks the legs into an exact position in vehicle mode (or at least not well) so if the hip joints and thigh swivels aren't at the perfect angle you won't get all four wheels to touch in vehicle mode. It's a good idea while transforming to leave the legs for the last step and set her down on a flat surface to see if all the wheels are touching before fitting everything into place. If they don't then just twist the legs a little or something.
Tracks gets the same problem too but it's a lot easier to mess up the transformation with RoadRage for whatever reason. I'll sometimes have it happen with tracks but I have to actively make sure the legs are straight on Road Rage each time, It's really strange.
>>6414704
Yeah, that does look like a bad custom.
Hopefully the japfans rage hard enough for them to change it like LG Kup.
>>6414708
Action Master Starscream lacked wings as well, it would have been cool if it resembled him.
I really hope that the LG comic makes Octane's Titan Master Abdul Fakkadi.
>>6414716
Iktf.
I also buy certain figures/characters because it feels like you must have them in your collection, even if you don't actually like it.

>>6414724
On that little flip out rocket launcher thing (I don't know what the fuck you'd call it) there's a little screw, and it's basically in a perfect spot to store the gun in vehicle mode. I've had the idea to just remove the screw and widen the hole to 3mm to use as gun storage, but I never get around to doing it.
It's an idea if you desperately want gun storage for her.

>Has cockpits
>you put the TM elsewhere

Well that's the way hasbro designed it since those twin cockpits are too small to fit a tm inside
>>6414756
>you flip up the shoulder pylons for starscream
DAAAAWWW~
>>6414757
Looking very forward to seeing this guy in hand
>>6414753
They would have had to make the cockpits bigger for it to fit you know.
>>6414757
I'm not sold on the clear plastic at all but the novelty of star scream possessing people is starting to sound really fun.
LG Octane might have just shot up from "meh" to "must have" for me just because of an ugly titan master
>>6414762
THEN JUST DO IT.
>>6414761
Can't find an image of just the "spike" headmaster but this bigger image shows the back of the tm face is round, while the tm figure itself isn't the same as the fort max tm the face could...still be cerebros.
So here have a bigger image
>>6414763
Well he is a throw in with octane, you buy it for the octane, the starscream is just a little bonus, I'll be having my starscream jack my tripticon
>>6414765

>>6414633
>>6414757
>>6414758

Its a...DIFFERENT cerebros head!?
What the fuck takara that's cool and insane

Its only drab because of the lack of stickers, they really make it pop
>>6414771
Not really, the legends one is more round while the hasbro one is more oblong-ish, and the whole TM body is different
>>6414767
>Translucent shoulders
it's not like that on hasbro version is it?
>>6414778
All solid plastic on the hasbro version
>>6414750
>They put the hole on a translucence part on the back
I say that is a lot better than Triggerhappy and misfire.
Still on the fence. The price between TR and LG is not that big of difference over here.
But I rather go with the normal gun and not the targetmaster.
>>6414704

>>6414750
The possibility to use 2 more headmasters as pilots: wasted.
>>6414753

>>6414648
this is the most bullshit thing on the whole fucking figure. why the fuck did they chimp out like that?masterpiece my ass.
>>6414704
>yfw Takara has put more effort into headmaster play pattern than Hasbro despite it not being show accurate for over half the line
>>6414811
Because hasbro worked ALONG side takara, all the abuse of diecast metal that's left fully exposed, lack of one off gimmick accessories takara throws in for that touch of love, no biocard or character history on the manuals...
It seems like hasbro said "here design this" and for every time they put too much in they kicked them in the nuts because MUH DOLLARZ
>>6414767
Just as planned.
>>6414802
Not to mention adding a cockpit or making it bigger would be practically making a new figure and we knew from past experience with Ginrai/Blast-off/Groove that their budgets as well as their schedule for bringing the stuff out are much less than Hasbro's.
so the hype about this figure was truth. If he had wrist swivel he'd honestly be a contender for the best Transformers of all time.
Transformation is intuitive without being simplified. This is some HFTD-era engineering, and he even pulls a 'Sea Spray' in the way he folds out.
Oh also, even though promo shots show Voyager Megatron's sword having a silly red handle, the final product does not have this.
>>6414707
>pretools
Fuck off with the buzzwords, autist.
>>6414785
>normal gun
TR Slugslinger's gun seems quite okay, really. I wonder if it's even a gunsled. My main worry about the TR version is the local shelves skipping that last wave.
>>6414850
>pretool is a buzzword
Fuck off and save it for more worthy causes
>>6414767
>Exo suit.
But thats not Spike headmaster armor, weird they f'up there, Bee transluent shouders are nice, but they should've added a hinge to bendthem inwards, the huge shoulders are the main issue of that mold, so an easy pass.
>>6414041
Could always try this Crankcase
>>6414866
Simple really, while alot of these new target master figures homage both rebirth and japanese g1 exosuit's would be more recognizable (and more eye catching color wise) that the headmaster armor.
The legends comic will explain it as an upgrade to the exosuit anyway even though the colors of the head don't mesh at all
>>6414767
>translucid windows instead of rudimentar black plastic

>>6414870
>translucid
You dolt you gave yourself away
>>6414817
>lack of one off gimmick accessories takara throws in
I kind of hate those accessories. I really had no issue with when MP figures used to come with a weapon or two and that was it. I feel no need to have a bunch of random little bits whose only purpose is to recreate "that one time in that one episode"
Especially since MPs now seem to be using all this crap as an excuse to hike their price up.
>>6414874
So...more diecast and less accessorys at a higher price is better?
As nice as mpm bumblebee is he ain't worth more than mp sideswipe or any other mp car
>>6414869
Yeah still not buy it, accuracy is my main reason to get Takara stuff, also that translucent headmaster head, not sure if the tiny translucent neck will hold.
>>6414879
I don't really feel strongly one way or another about the MPMs. I was just replying to your comment about accessories on MPs in general.
>>6414883
Well it is accuracte...but not strictly to how it was in the show.
As for the starscream head yeah I'd be a bit worried, sure the head would be dense and not as prone to shattering but making it regular solid plastic may have been a better choice
>>6414712
Sky Shadow is built better and feels more solid.
Overlord has loose joints and the wings feel like cheap plastic
>>6414868
Offroad works better, already has half the deco.
>>6414893
>As for the starscream head

>>6414920
...oh shit didn't see the backing, wtf
>>6414707
Aren't they more like.... Prepaints?
>>6414933
The term still applies even in sentinels case, I would suspect the head components are part of the same runners, but I don't know this for sure, if the head components are on a separate runner (which would better help for lg lio convoy's case) then they would be a repaint with a new accessory.
For scourge/highbrow/windblade's case those are retool/pretools despite the heavy modification, unless we want to think up a new term other than the overly long "recycled parts/engineering"
>>6414767
The Titan Master head looks terrifying, but glad I can get my Fort Max the hasbro-ish head.
I keep thinking that one of these days I'm going to stop seeing the appeal of robots that turn into vehicles and shit, and I'm going to wake up and stare at my shelf of useless plastic and think "What a fucking waste", but it hasn't happened yet.
I'm not even that much of a toy guy in general. I really only like transformers because they transform, and it adds that extra layer of depth and intrigue. I'll buy other action figures, even ones of characters I fucking love, but it doesn't matter how detailed or articulated they are, I eventually lose interest and pack them away or sell them to make room for another Transformer.
Anyone else the same way?
>>6414952
I was like that with gundams, only got off them because of transformers.
For me I have an addictive personality but I'm actively scaling back, I'm hoping I can get to a point where I only buy mp's due to the lesser amount of them released a year, I got basically all the characters I want and anything in the next line has to be something special (a new optimus primal toy for example would be an instant skip, but give me a combiner abominus and here we go again).
That and I long for my holy grails list which will make me quit cold turkey.
>mp galvatron
>mp rodimus prime 2.0
>titan scorponok
Until then I'll just be cherry picking the lines
>>6414949
Just remember to unscrew Spike and change his head for any non translucid noggin.
>>6414952
>Anyone else the same way?
It's because people inherently like acquiring new things. So you look at your old stuff, and you see it as something that, while you may like, doesn't interest you anymore. So you want new stuff. Happens to everyone, really. It's a facet of human nature. Hunter/gatherer shit, I dunno.
>>6414962
its translucent, jesus, you know what lucid means?
>>6414962
Besides Fort Max Cerebros, whose head looks most similar?
>>6414964
Except it's not like that with Transformers. I never really get bored with them. I lose interest in most action figures I buy inside the course of a month, but a good Transformer will hold my interest for years. I only ever really swap them out of my display because I have no more room and I don't want to look like a hoarder will a clusterfuck wall of plastic.

Oh no, a toy costs a few dollars more than it did 5-7 years ago. Insane how inflation keeps raising relative costs isn't it? Guessing you're still in high school waiting for economics?
Don't like the toy, don't buy it. Those of us that do, we're gonna pick them up. It's almost like we all have a choice in what to buy. That's almost like the opposite of sad.
