just a buildable R2 in the OP

nah

anyone have the UCS Slave I?

apparently this happens (the huge gap) after you leave it on its stand for a few months. wondering if this happens to all of them, and if it ever returns to normal. thoughts?
>>
>>6311771
Can't you push it together? Or rebuild it to fix it?
>>
>>6311771
I have it. Solved that exact problem by attaching the nose to the main frame with some rubberbands.
>>
>>6311791
not my photo, just found it while researching since I was considering buying and I'm not certain I will now.
>>6311799
precisely where do you make the connection?
>>
Will UCS Death Star go on sale.
>>
>>6311804
it was kind of a bitch to hook up, but i can try to get a pic
>>
>>6311771
>>6311799
>>6311817
The pegs are attached to the side flaps (which have a tendency to wiggle, since there's no connection at the bottom) and then hooked up to the frame. The rubber bands solve both problems, and have been holding remarkably well (i've had it for a few months now).
>>
>>6311831
neat solution. would the tail return to normal if you just pressed it back into position or took it off its stand for a while?
>>
>>6311846
Yeah, it was purely gravity that dragged it down
>>
>>6311771
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/117569-mod-ucs-slave-1-anti-droopbend-when-on-stand/

I disassembled mine for a move before I had a chance to try it myself, but this modification seems to hold up.
>>
Should I get UCS Tie Fighter or Slave I?

I like the Slave I, but I already have the minifigs that come with it.
>>
>>6311877
I like this solution better than mine. More time safe. Might have to try it
>>
>>6311878
TIE fighter is just a really big version of a simple boring ship. get the Slave I. you don't buy UCS for the minifigs
>>
>>6311878
If you like the Slave I, you should buy that and sell the minifigs to recoup your costs.

75003 is best A-Wing Tbh
>>
>>6311899

Pros

+Very detailed
+Has a non intrusive technic setup through the middle so you can pick it up on a handle and carry it
+Rebel Frigate
+ok build

Cons
-Very small interior of ship for mini-figure posing
-Very detailed came at cost of small scaled ship
-Abundance of stud shooters

About to be discontinued soon. I'm waiting for a sale hopefully tomorrow.

I agree they're a let down. I hate all flick fire shit. I just like this particular A-Wing because of how small it is.

New one is too far, has hideous landing gear and engines, but now that you've mentioned it I might try to incorporate its guns because they are great.
>>
>>6311938

can't say for certain, but it seems disproportionately huge compared to recent X and Y wings.

I can spend money on Lego.

Problem is I don't even have room to display anymore I've been storing a lot in their boxes.
>>
>>6311878
If buying both isn't on the table: I'd suggest Slave I. It's both a more enjoyable build and is -roughly- minifig scale if that's important to you. The Boba fig has printing on his arms but is otherwise likely the same as what you already have.

The TIE fighter on the other hand is already halfway to being modded to whatever variation you can think of. It also happens to be MUCH sturdier than the Slave I. I'm planning on buying at least one more during this week's sale to make into either an Interceptor or whatever they named the Ep 7 version, maybe even Vader's TIE if I have the free time.
>>
>>6312090
but if you spend money on that you deserve to be mocked endlessly

Buy for 87.99 a 20% discount.

Too bad USING VIP Points docks you some points FROM THE PURCHASED ITEMS!

It's why I ultimately went with Lance vs Lightning instead of a Star Wars Battle Pack; I might end up with slightly more Points, but if they're docking me for basically covering Tax, I might as well get something I can't pick up at the local Wal-mart.

Finally happy with it. He's a sci-fi explorer with a crudely-made sci-fi pistol that overheats a lot and is powered by the backpack. The blue stud on the stalk is a eye for his weapon/packs built-in AI companion. It likes to look around and scan terrain.

For me it's pic related. It's ugly and you can only seat the minifig with arms in the air. But for four bucks it's a nice parts pack, with that black grille, some red curves and a black 4x4 square with 2x2 center cutout that will come in handy.

Does anyone else here buy multiples of ($$~$$$) sets they absolutely love? And without even considering leaving them unopened to scalp later. It was the 31039 Blue Power Jet that pulled me out of my dark age. I bought a second one a couple years after, just before it was discontinued. I also have x3 21109 Exo-Suits. More than one of any UCS set is a bit too rich for my tastes, though.

Honestly I ended up getting both.

I started with the Stone Destroyer just because I didn't think I'd get around to picking it up in-store, and even then it was basically for the Robot Hoodlum...
...But once I got it built I fell in love with the Elemental Warrior Brickfig, and even the Cycle itself isn't too bad.

Marvel owns the rights to Deadpool movies, anon.

We don't get Lego sets because the movie is R-rated
>>
>>6314558
Even though FOX owns X-Men and the F4, Marvel owns the merchandising rights to the characters - so yes, the R rating is likely the larger concern.

It's a little sad, however; seeing as though there were no Suicide Squad branded sets (for obvious reasons) DC still managed to put most of the lineup (Harley, Deadshot, Croc, Cpt. Boomerang and Katana) in Batman sets for that year.

See, the concept of an insertable sex toy made of Lego (TM) brand buildable block toy product is sound, in theory.

In practice, you'd have to deal with the difference in friction between the bricks' clutch and the inner surface of the orifice you're using it in (vadger, poover, muncher, etc). It could be anything from annoying to problematic to painful to have bricks come apart while plunging the Lego (TM) brick block buildable toy product dildolio in and out.

That's why you'd want to put something in place that would keep the construct together as a unified whole. A device uniquely qualified both by shape and by intent would be a standard latex or polyeurethane sheathe d'penor, aka a condom.

This would ensure that even if some of the elements of the construct became detatched, all the parts would be held together as a single more-or-less streamlined body, easily removed from this or that bodily orifice with plentiful mucous membranes.

That's all I was trying to say.

I requested four new Toy Story Army Men heads because the ones I got (new in box) had such faded printing that their faces were hard to see. The replacements had great printing; I stupidly only asked for one replacement set, because I bought two of the sets and all eight heads had faded printing.

Sometimes I think about ordering more on cracklink, but I'm worried that they'll come faded too. I guess I can always try to bother the seller for pictures.

You got that right, good buddy! Washed up actors are the best actors to be in old black-and-white sci-fi masterpieces of yore. Even in those days, guys wore eyeliner and spoke with exaggerated stageyness. It was the bat's bat, I'm telling you.

The bat's bat.

Plus, they were all atomic and had atomic ray guns to go with their atomic lightning graphics on their paunchysuits.

Did they know they were destined for greatness? Who can say? But in that era, they cranked out feature films more than one every day, so maybe they thought it would be lost in the shuffle.

But I think this guy knows he's going places, maybe even old black-and-white Hollywood.

They didn't throttle Uncle Pack Pack. Disney isn't for chopped beets, purple 1x1s with milk make the schkabombs.

Take a big handful of classic 2x4 bricks, add to warm water and stir. Add some 2x2 cylinders and slightly increase temperiture for 10 minutes.

Add seasonings.

Take entire pan and throw it on the floor. Do a little jig. Roll around on the wet bricks for up to thirty seconds.

Drain and serve. It's dinner in just a few minutes that your kids will love! Eat it and shut up you horrible little monster cunts!

Did you think you'd get skellies and milk again? You know how hard it is to splan the harvumbles? You couldn't even get beds and dravels again. Just shut your stupid mouth, all you chicks and dudes.

Maybe.

>>
>>6315945
There in Italy you can't ever get anything because mail service is so legendarily bad. Not only do they lose your package, but they also charge you per gram for delivery of packages that are never delivered.

I've heard that if you go to the post office to see if they have a package for you, a small group of men wearing striped shirts and ski masks come out and start kicking you in the knees until you apologize and give them money and go away emptyhanded.

That's what I've heard, anyway: That Italy's mail service is like the worst and most violent in the world, except for like Chataqua.

Disproportionate to what was left in the bin, anon. Clearly people had gone through the bags since rocketboy and retro spaceguy were all gone, what was left was slim pickings...except the highwayman. I just noticed atomic hero guy has a more space space gun than the existing one. Shown here with Red Ranger and a previous space gun pistol.

What are /lg/'s thoughts on the new one? It has a more old-time, chubbier look, which is a point in its favor. But the old one has a muzzle and side holes that rods can fit in, so there's that.

What do you think?

Don't own the new one yet, but i like the versatility of the new one a lot better and has great looks too.
It definately looks more lego-ey, but that's a good thing in my book.

Haha, that's how i store my spaceships now.

When making weird angles stable try to make a section or more where you use a triangle style setup with 3 "smooth" hinges. (by that i mean hinges that don't ratchet into predetermined angles) this way it locks the angles in place from every angle.

I have that powdered wig on my want list, but I'm going to the MoA store in a week or two, so I want to wait and make sure their BAM isn't full of them first.
