I think Warlock might be my favorite BAF in a long time. At least as far as sculpt and choice of character is concerned...he's got a couple loose parts that are annoying, but he'll pose and stand fine.

The prison set was pretty good too.
The Dr Strange set from the year before was awesome for just Magik. Dormammu was way nicer than the retail release and Hela was great too.

Thanos Imperative set from 2014 was meh. 2013's Thunderbolts was great. 2013 was great all around for SDCC.

So I've decided to make an Americop custom Legend. I've got a DnA SDCC Star Lord on order from Ebay to use as the body base as well as looking into either buying an extra Hyperion or Winter Soldier Cap with unmasked head, for Americop's head.

His accessories are pretty cool if you know how to use em.

You can combine the tendrils together, swap the hands out for them at the wrist, even attach a hand to them for a rocket punch. The hands actually having poseable fingers means it can also grip other figures and hold them for poses.

I mean, those ones need blu tac because there's literally nothing they can be attached to. Not a whole lot of stuff to grip on a forehead or the back of a head, anon. Physics won't allow it, so if you want them at all it's pretty much got to be that way.

There's only a few ways you could engineer it differently from what I did.

Hardsculpt it in to the head. - very limiting for the figure and drives costs up.

Add some sort of grip to that part of the figure, like a peg hole or slot, which is awful when not using the piece.

Embed magnats in the piece and a sculpt, which gets complicated for production.

The whole point of this and the psylocke piece, the jean piece etc, is that they are

a) for photo setups and thus need greater versatility

b) That you'd never get them any other way.

It's fine if you don't like them, but if you have an engineering complaint at least make an effort to find a better alternative before knocking what I went with. Otherwise you are just arguing that you'd rather just have nothing and no options rather than something and some options.

In fairness, I was being dumb. I tried to put on the Spider-UK head and it was a really tight fit. It wasn't happy coming off. I've mostly fixed it, but I can basically never switch the head again, so that sucks. Ordered a bootleg to see if it's any good.

This happened to my Speed Demon, but not any of the other slim bodies I've got. My Pizza Spidey is actually really easy to get off. To get the disc back into SD's neck, I had to shave off bent plastic inside the neck that would usually keep the disc in place.
