Did anybody ever find a fix for Warrior Bisk? People were talking about how bad he is last thread, and I've been waiting for him since he was announced. I really want him but everything I'm seeing makes him look as bad as T30 Blitzwing.

I found a video showing how bad the problem is https://youtu.be/NVf3X4aouzI
>>
The little tabs on Pyra Magna's knees can be removed safely, can't they? I know they're misassembled and don't feel like trying to re-do rivets, figured I'd just dremel down the two tabs so they don't produce stress marks on her lower legs.

Also wonder what people use for sturdy glue, my Windblade's wing broke around the hinge a year or so ago and I've been meaning to get around to fixing it, but things got away from me and now I'm considering just buying and painting up the RiD one instead.
>>
>>6058360
Honestly, a panel misalignment would probably be solved by either messing with the tab, adding or removing mass to help it stay, or finding a way to soften the plastic a bit so you can bend it into shape and let it sit.
>>6058364
Yeah, the figure stands really good without locking them in, both on her own and as Victorion. I haven't trimmed them off myself since I actually love the idea of Pyra being taller than Hotspot or Onslaught.

In unrelated news I bought Fangry to round out the decepticon headmaster Jrs and I may pick up bumblebee when I have the dosh.
>>
>>6058364
>little tabs on Pyra Magna's knees can be removed safely
Yeah. You can use model-kit nippers or wire-cutters too.

>Windblade
Just buy the RID. It's the more fun version of the character.
>>
>>6058369
>I actually love the idea of Pyra being taller than Hotspot or Onslaught.
She does look nice with that slightly taller silhouette, my only worry was the stress marks I've seen others get, though nothing has shown up yet as I've been fairly careful.
Nice find on Fangry btw, I've more or less decided to get just the Decepticon TMs and have them hang out in Soundwave's zoo since he's already got a few little animal dudes anyway. Finally got HotSpot in yesterday too, fucked around on buying him and wound up having the limbs for almost a full year without a middle, bought the case last xmas but never got around to HotSpot until recently.

Personally I'm disappointed that in ROTF they didn't reduce Skids and Mudflap to hi-and-dies and make the fembot triplets the "comic relief" for Sam's "team". So replace the brawl between Skids and Mudflap (the one that reveals the tomb of the primes) with a 3-way robot catfight.

So what is this Long Life Design Award?

The MP line has also won some other awards before.

Since the reissues will have the logo incorporated, does that mean boxes of earlier editions will be worth more?

Will Artfire and other MP production runs after MP-36 will feature this logo?

>>
>>6058519
Eh, I can appreciate the deluxe size. I just wanted a decent-looking Starscream when I bought him and he happened to be at a Kroger. I wish his swords weren't translucent plastic, but other than that he's really great.
The null rays folding against his back go a LONG way to making me appreciate him since the original design was such a goddamn shelf-hogger.
>>

>>
>>6058369
>Honestly, a panel misalignment would probably be solved by either messing with the tab, adding or removing mass to help it stay, or finding a way to soften the plastic a bit so you can bend it in shape and let it sit.

Well that's not really a very assuring solution. That's just saying "if you fix the problem then it will be fixed," like "just stop being sick and you'll feel better."

What is actually causing Bisks to not hold together? Is it a molding issue? Is something bent in packaging?
>>
>>6058533
My favorite one i've owned so far has been the T30 one that becomes a stealth bomber. It's got some gap issues, but I love the fusion cannon railgun thing, the really good paint matching, and his weirdly endearing bar body make up for some of the shortcomings for me.

>>6058564
Trying to get that one is going to be challenge.
But yeah I was thinking about him since he looks so cool.
>>
>>6058551
From what I can tell, it's due to the lowerclaw/carsides being angled in such a way that it pulls the car sides out. That an the bicep swivel just isn't sturdy enough to hold the arm in place during transformation.

Unless you can get the lower claw to bend inwards more, it's going to fight against the front car tabs.

>>
>>6058600
he was one of the few Armada molds covered in small details and had engineering that was more in depth then most of the line. The fact he has parts forming for his cannon mode that's doing it's best to be hidden was pretty cool too.

Personal fave is Apha Trion right now, though Takara Blurr/ Brainstorm is a really fun bot too. Rewind/Rumble and Wheelie can't get in on th ehead swapping fun, but they're still good.

Scourge and Galvatron are real stinkers though. Scouge's ugly colors and wibbly nasty-looking head just bring him down. Galvatron is actually really decent but his cannon placement and awful head just drags everything down beyond salvation.

>>
>>6058645
Take this >>6058651 but add to the fact every team makes a set that needs to be completed. This isn't like older sets or TR where every bot is an individual. Each limb bot helps build a bigger G1 inspired bot. That's what is really fucking with cost

Pretty sure the correct answer is "Anything made from gold plastic", since it's hard to get worse than a toy that will literally disintegrate into shards, dust, and broken dreams within a year or two of release.

T30 Blitzwing isn't even a bad toy, it just got fucked up in the factory and they never fixed it so the shoulders plug in properly. If you fix it yourself, he's decent enough.
>>

What?
I could spin mine's head just fine. The issues involving shoulders not locking in make sense to be angry about, but head seems to function as intended.
>>
>>6058922
The face swapping gimmick would have been fine if they'd bothered to make his head not look like a bobblehead and made it rotate the right way.

It was such a half assed idea for a reedun design since it was just a worse version of G1 Blitzwing with the Animated head gimmick. They should have either gone all in on G1/comics accuracy like the rest of that line, or done an actual decent combination of the two Blitzwing designs.
>>
>>6058939
>works on my machine
>>
>>6058939
The vast majority of people couldn't rotate the faces due to the yellow paint being globbed on. Without opening up the heads and scraping out excess paint most people couldn't rotate the faces.

Plus most people had to remove the springs under the head to keep it from forcing the jet nose open and tearing it. If you somehow got a perfect functioning one then that's good for you I guess, but your experience is far from the norm.

Some people drink poison, get lucky, and don't die, but you wouldn't say that poison is safe.

Despite bot-mode being pretty shit I had a lot of fun with his alt-modes. Gimped articulation aside I was really pissed off with his piddly little gun that barely fit in his hand. Like, cmon it's Blitzwing, he should come with a great-big-fuck-off gun. The sword was ok though , I'm just glad I didn't didn't pay much for him. Maybe I'll swap him for a 3P option after xmas.
>>
>>6058944

Not that guy, but mine works as intended too, except for the shoulders.

Just because you have an issue doesn't mean every single figure is plagued with it.
>>
>>6058950
Huh. Maybe the excess paint only happened with some production lines or the excess paint got scraped off. I definitely had the tolerance issues other than that with the nosecone being difficult to stay in place and locking parts. But at least he looks cool and is okay tier plane/tank, so isn't a complete wash. I'd definitely put my Legends Blackarachnia at worse because of the more goofy QC issues I had with mine and how the spider mode is wonky.

GPS not something that affects all gold plastic. It's a specific type of gold plastic that isn't used anymore. It's also funny that you hate BA because you think her plastic will break down, when Blitzwing is made out of fucking rubber, which will ALWAYS harden and crack in a few years.

Honestly the fact that you like T30 BW should have been proof that you were mentally deficient, but this just drives that point farther home.

>>

No it doesn't. The trident BREAKS. GPS isn't breakage. It's when the plastic crumbles due. Energon Scorponok has load bearing gold plastic hinges that are incredibly prone to breakage too, but it's because they're thin and have pressure put on them.

Retards just assume gold plastic breaking = GPS. Do some fucking research and learn what GPS is before you make yourself look like even more of a retard.

No you fucking mongoloid, it isn't "wear and tear." You are using a word incorrectly because you are too dumb to know what it means.

GPS is due to an issue with plasticizers and inclusions in the plastic causing it not to hold together. No pressure or stress is required to break it- it just crumbles naturally. You can identify GPS by the plastic crumbling into little pieces instead of breaking along stress lines.

Terradive, Wreck-Gar, and Scorponok breaks due to design issues. They just happen to be made of a gold plastic. Nothing on Black Arachnia is going to crumble or break.

You are fucking stupid.

http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Gold_Plastic_Syndrome

>Gold Plastic Syndrome(commonly shorthanded toGPS) is fandom terminology used to describe the phenomenon of a toy'splastic decomposing and becoming brittle to the point of shattering or crumbling under minimal-stress conditions. In the most extreme cases, toys have been reported to spontaneously crumble to small bits without any applied force at all, even if they're fresh out of theirunopened package.

>This breakage is different from the relatively more common stress-fracture type of plastic breakage that can occur in someTransformers toys; while normal stress fractures are universally heralded by stress marks on the toy, GPS breakage doesn't have that sign; it simply crumbles to pieces.

HFTD Ironhide or Jungle Ironhide for, wel, Ironhide.
ROTF Sideswipe is IMO much better than DOTM, especially if you put the car kibble on the feet backwards when transforming it which fixes stability issues completely. Sidearm Sideswipe looks better but has no blades so you might want to get some from Shape ways for him. Depends on how much you want to spend on him.
Battle Blades Bumblebee is the other /toy/-approved Bumblebee, and it just looks better IMO.
07 Ratchet or DOTM are the best figures of him. ROTF Ratchet tried to be cool with its gimmick but it just sucks.
Best Jazz is the Human Alliance one but it will kill your scale and 07 Jazz is just ugly.
Takara made a Dino out of the Sideways mold and a movie Wheeljack from the Que mold, it's your call if you want screen accuracy or a better looking toy for Wheeljack/Que.
The wreckers will be expensive as fuck to complete since Leadfoot is rare. Roadbuster is crap.

1. Human Alliance scale: Get Bee, Jazz, Leader class Ironhide with 3P arm cannons, Buster Optimus Prime, Voyager Ratchet.

2. Regular scale (Original Trilogy)): Leader Buster Optimus Prime with 3P trailer, DOTM Voyager Ironide or ROTF Recon Ironhide, Voyager Ratchet or Deluxe Ratchet depending on your preference of scale vs articulation, Deluxe class Jazz (Battle Damaged to get the movie-accurate blaster), ROTF Deluxe Skids and Mudflap, AoE Takara Jolt, Human Alliance Arcee, Chromia and Elita (They're packed with HA Skids and Mudflap, finding them as 2nd hand sells is pretty hard nowadays), DOTM Takara Wheeljack (Hard to come by, rereleased in AoE Takara line as G1 retool and repaint), DOTM Takara Leadfoot(Rare as fuck, you might as well just wait for a rerelease), DOTM Deluxe Roadbuster and Topspin.

For the Decepticons, TF1 Leader Class Megatron, ROTF Leader Class Starscream (with 3P jetpack and saw), TF1/TF3 asia premium Leader Class Brawl, Deluxe Bonecrusher, Leader Class Sentinel Prime.

The arm you attach (left?) isn't made the same way as the other arm and the gear inside the bicep area of the arm can break due to stress of hanging (or at least that's the theory).
People thought at first it was just SDCC that suffered this because first reports were just him, however people are discovering all 3 can be at risk for it.
>>
>>6059226
If it's broken it might just get return to sender (Hasbro/Takara) and piled up till they either join a landfill or get destroyed.
>>
>>6059259
It's probably a factory error. It probably affects both arms, since the gear bits, and the bit that goes around the gear is identical on both versions.

I'm guessing they screw the gear too tight and snap it. Also, I'd expect more problems with the clip on piece on the left arm, since that's the thing that would normally break.

So does ANYONE actually have a picture of the beast mode of this fucker? i'm trying to figure out how it would work in my head, and I can't remotely imagine it.. the balljoints wouldnt allow the two halves of the head to connect
there's an archived thread mentioning it (and taunting me by mentioning the fact that there are no images of it besides 'this one') but the damned images aren't archived.

it's really sad, that movie was the moment they started undoing decades of engineering progress to go back to simplisticness, and strafe with his big giant doofy legs was a prime example.. awesome toy otherwise though. just looking at anything from that line gives you a feeling like watching a season 8 or 9 simpsons episode.. beginning of the end.
>>
>>6059728
We'll probably see most of the movie stuff at Toy Fair, and things will come out at the end of April most likely.
>>
>>6059735
There are lots of simple engineering in TR too though. Hot Rod basically has the same complexity as Wheelie.

I think AOE Strafe is a better two-headed dragon toy than TR Twinferno. I like the look of Scorn but wouldn't mind seeing if they'd make a new one.
>>
>>6059739
TR?
>>
>>6059739

well that's my point. AoE was the beginning of that. Since then everything made, aside from the collectors' stuff, has been severely retrograde in terms of the development we saw over Beast Wars, Animated, Prime, and the first three movies

Any government befalls that. No system can truly be good or fair. Wealth will always be the deciding factor, control will always be those running the show and for every good leader or lord you would have you will be cursed with dozens that will feed their self interest. However that is not far from anyone really. How many here leech off of government or family to stay alive and buy there wants rather than sacrifice pleasures so one doesn't burden them? Who here would give till they only have their needs met and nothing more to help those without year after year? We care of ourselves far more than anything else so why do we take shock those with more power than us do the same? They are just us with different means.

I don't hate stickers that much.

It's just that there are good ways to do stickers like

The foil stickers in TR breaks all these rules.
