Unrelated to literally anything, but...

I think FoC Kickback is severely underrated. The alt mode may be just a little messy, but it's serviceable. If you shave just a little on his legs you can actually collapse them a little better in insect mode and imo it makes a world of difference. Bot mode is fantastic. Awesome ankles, cool shoulder pincers, integrated weapons, really nice hands. He has a lot personality and his transformation scheme is clever and complicated.

Hasbros masterpiece Bluestreak. His ankles have this part that attaches the feet to the rest of the body, one left and one right, and mine came with two left ones, so because of this the vehicle mode will never be flush on the back, unless I either sand that part very throughout or I buy a KO or another copy of the mold and replace it the part myself.

From what I understand, both of them basically just become the same being for the most part. The bot and the partner have their individual quirks, but ultimately DO have minds similar enough to have improved processing power between the two of them since they come to the same conclusions, as opposed to Combiners, who tend to have five or six vastly different bots merging together with "KILL THESE ASSHOLES" being the only agreement.

The right shoulder doesn't click into the torso peg hole and I though it is because the peg is too big.
I thin down the peg but it still won't click.
I ended up took the whole thing apart and finally found out the section on the back where a pole that pushes and held the purple rotating shoulder piece when in robot mode is too long. It presses the purple piece too hard for the peg to stay in position.
I cut that down and the shoulder will not be pushed out now, but due to cutting down the peg (the first fix), the shoulder is still all floppy. And for some reason the right shoulder doesn't like to stay close to the torso like the left side.

This thing costs me like $12

I had the exact same issue on my Kickback. It's the same peg on the back piece being too long. Guess it's more widespread than I thought.

If you want it lock, add material to areas circled, that edge on the chest piece and a small nub on the rotating purple piece.

I used applied thin layers of super glue using a toothpick then hardened it instantly using baking soda, tested the fit, repeated until it felt right.

Currently i am using nail polish.
It is kinda sticky in itself so kinda holds unless you pull some big movement.

Still that does not fix the problem why the purple piece does not flush to the torso like the left side.

Also what are people's thoughts between the current 3 uses of the mold, inferno is more recognizable, grapple clearly has more panel details (the shins!) and a color palette that breaks him out of the sea of red people envision autobots seem to be, then artfire who's colors are the most varied but the fact he's a hardly known character with less accessories and what *looks* like stickers that may be pre-applied though I do hope they're tampo prints.

I want a firetruck MP, Grapple looks like a really good use of the mold and while I almost always try to avoid buying literal who's (especially when they're expensive) Artfire looks really damn good with the tacky G1 toy details which I hope to god are tampos and the targetmaster is enough of a difference on top of that to make me want him.

I've said it before but if Inferno/Grapple/Artfire is their new standard for "shameless" MP repaints then my wallet is fucked. I don't like buying repaints unless there's enough extra to make it worth it and god damn did they put a lot of effort into all three of these guys to make them stand out on their own.

I had to carve some out of the gun hand to run the tube under it (which is plugged into the 5mm port on his wrist), but otherwise I think it just fit right over his original hand. The feet ankle parts are clipped to the bars between his original silver "toes". They can all stay on during transformation, but the feet just kind of rest against the copter tail out the back.

How does the Not-Scavenger leg hold up? When I first saw it, I felt like the fucking shovel and arm bits were going to snap right off due to it looking like all the weight is going to go on those parts, and 3P combiners are often ridiculously heavy for their size.

If you plop him around like a literal child pretending to make him walk (I did this) then the arms will eventually try to untab themselves from the chest. It takes time and force to do it though so he holds a dynamic pose for months just fine in my case.

He's fucking heavy but poses surprisingly well. He has two knee's, ankle tilts, waist swivel, and huge feet to keep him balanced.

No case of the splits either. I had to corner turn the hip screws to actually loosen the hips. They come a bit too tight actually.

I've wanted Inferno for a while, so I pre-ordered him as a knee-jerk reaction. Then as soon as Grapple was shown off, I cancelled my order for Inferno and decided to just get Grapple, since he has much better details in both modes, and the last thing I need is another red Autobot. If I had Red Alert I might be more tempted, but... meh.

See, this is a big selling point for me. I love "literally who" characters for some reason. There's this kind of appeal to them since they're usually untainted by the neckbeard fandom or shitty '80s writing. Exhaust and Loudpedal became some of my most favorite MPs to date. Somehow, them having no official portrayal of their character gives them so much more.

He comes with a motherfucking targetmaster. Nightstick looks like fun on a bun. He alone is worth more than all the alternate faces or cartoon-accurate bumpers in the world. All that crap usually just gets left in a box or drawer with me anyway. But give me a little dude that transforms into a gun? Hours of fun.

I do kind of hope the details are stickers, only because I find some of them a bit gaudy, and I bet ocean designs will put out a much nicer looking decal set anyway, then I can just put on the ones I like.
