In particular, that's the new transformed form of Takeshi Hongo aka Kamen Rider #1, from the 2016 film "Kamen Rider 1". It is literally the same character (and actor) from the 1971 series, still fighting evil 45 years later.

There are so many good ones, it's hard to decide on just a couple to recommend. I watch the source material, and tend to buy figures of suits and characters I like. From release to release, Figuarts can vary slightly, in terms of how well they engineer the figure and how limiting the costume ends up being to the articulation. I think I would be quicker to list figures to avoid, than figures to purchase. Ultimately, the Shinkocchou Seihou subline of Figuarts are probably the "best" in terms of engineering and detail: Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kuuga, Decade, Agito & Hibiki are really nice. You might be able to find SHFSS Agito really cheap too, he shelfwarmed hard.

I started with Another Agito and Gills as My intro to KR SHFs, since I love the biomechanical look. Both should be pretty cheap. Gills is a better figure (plenty of hands, an alternate screaming face, bunch of extra spikes, Scorpion-like stingers, and great articulation), but I prefer Another Agito (he doesn't need anything more than his fists and kicks to defeat you).

Kamen Rider 3 is also a great figure, with a good blend of classic KR look and modern styles. He has a minor story, so you can pretty much make up anything you want for him. He'd probably also look good fighting against that new Rider 1.

I'm still not really a fan of the design. I see what they were going for, but it just doesn't work. I feel like it'd look better if the red parts matched colors at the very least.

Mach Chaser is a good example of what happens when a kitbash suit design has proper color matching. It's still a kitbashed suit, but the simple act of changing all the white from Mach's parts and all the purple from Chaser's parts makes it look more convincing as a single new suit.

I preordered Omega when it first went up on HLJ and now it's been saying "This order is in processing and cannot be edited." since it's release.

I know they have figures in stock because when I go on the item page it says "In stock", and it's strange because I've never had this happen before.

Whatever they used to give Rider Heart's horns that sheen makes it look a hell of a lot better than the actual suit's horns. The silver used for his "teeth" are also a lot better. Feels less like paper mache overplayed on a black mouth plate. The reds between the Tridoron parts and the Heart parts seem to match just a little bit better too.

It's like how the figuarts of Super Chaser looks better for having a colder gold color than yellow gold on the suit.

Found out why the order was "processing".
Turned out my bank sent me a new card and deactivated my old one while I was sick and I just now was able to check mailbox.

yea ignore that guy. I grew up on KR Black and how I came to like other riders were seeing who else were on the line-up of toys and instantly zeroed in on Amazon, Stronger, Super 1 and then I knew which video or laser disc to look/rent.

Riders are supposed to be able to draw you into giving the show a shot alone through the suit designs, so if the toy is a decent/good representation of it and someone buys it then someone watches it, GREAT.

the SHFSS quality is pretty much what the SHF line should be for how much each release is being priced at. Honestly, these recent showa renewals feel like a waste of my time and money after I've seen just how nice and tailored each sculpt is for every heisei rider who've been getting the SHFSS treatment... Really wish they'd just gone straight to SHFSS for Kamen Rider Black, RX and Shadowmoon instead of the renewals, which addresses lots of issues but still fall short of getting the suit look down.

I bought shf renewal Shadowmoon and when I bought it, all the joints were fine. I posed it around, then left it on the shelf untouched. I don't think it's been even a whole year, I just went back to change the pose and the arm-to-torso joint is loose as hell. Is this a normal occurrence?? That's really weird to me. No one else handles my toys, I clean it myself and I haven't touched it since then.

I've only ever bought SHF renewal RX, Black and ZO, so I can't say I know much about what to expect from the line's QC. I pretty much only buy shf of riders I grew up watching a ton of.

Multiple things. If you buy them one or two items at a time you'll be getting charged the weight of the box it gets shipped in + weight of the items with every single order, and even with SAL and just a small item that can be $13+ for shipping. Combining stuff ends up being cheaper in the long run since the prices slowly get higher compared to buying a bunch of cheap items one at a time and having to pay for the box every time. This applies to all international purchases though, you should always buy in bulk when possible.
