For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

Still, dont like the boxy chest, head air intakes and the tiny waist.

Sadly still no sign of a 1/144 Graze Ground type.

>>5877872
And it looks to be the case even when articulated. Its only major weakspot would be its waist, which can be defended by its arms.

...and that new metal gear rex head gundam has two massive sickles to exploit that weakness. Shit, thats a genius counter to all gundam types.

>>
>>5878089
The only guy saying that he wanted it to be based on the stargazer was >>5878038 >>5878049.

Everything after that was in response to >>5878052 saying that it "Literally looks nothing like the stargazer" when its visual aesthetic, gimmick, and even name is based off of it. Nobody after those first two posts I quoted above said anything about thinking it meant it should be based off of the stargazer and not the delta.

In fact, the original guy never even said it should be, just that he hoped it was. Most likely he originally thought that it might be because the first image of it to go up online was a lot smaller and blurrier, and once the clearer image came out it was obviously based on something else.

it doesn't matter if the paint scheme is shared

>>
>>5878109
>the robots look NOTHING alike

Other than the color scheme, glowing lines, and forearm armor you mean.
>>
I did not expect the Luna Gazer post to cause a shitstorm at all. To be clear I saw the name Luna Gazer on a website, clicked on it to get a better look and only saw a delta frame with Gazer parts and motifs on it, and lamented the fact it wasn't a custom gazer just a Delta with some Gazer theme on it. So that killed my hope for an HGCE Stargazer.

Just to clarify, there are two interpretations of " looks" going on.

The first being superficially, where only design cues are taken from and integrated elsewhere like this lunar gazer, in which the delta "looks like" the stargazer.

Second, is where parts of the original design is copied entirely and pasted onto another kit(ie reusing molds) like how the ezsr "looks like" the ez8.

What I'm saying is, this argument is pointless, and people should read and understand the meaning behind words before posting

With the rate at which Bandai's gunpla tech advances, HGs could end up looking like this in 10 years.
>>
>>5878811
???

They could already do that if they want. Molded joints is a thing. HGs have branched out. IBO and revive stuff is pretty simple, mainstream HGUC tends to be the same, and Origin kits have a lot of parts and I'd say are halfway between HGUC and RG.

That's like the most common typo ever. What's your point?
>>
>>5879173
It's the Pour type wash markers that can damage the plastic if you don't coat it. The regular lining markers are meant to be used on bare plastic and using them on top of a coating can gunk them up.
>>
>>5879224
I'm going through the latter right now, but it's more like they're drying out.
>>
>>5879174
It was a case of "We have limited supplies and time, just slap everything left in the hangar on the prototype frame we've been experimenting on".

It wasn't a bunch of Zeon MS designers sitting down and trying to come up with some super design It was a bunch of scientists specializing in prosthetics and nerves working with engineers on a Zaku Himo frame testing it at the base for a new control method for MS that directly links the pilot to the machine through prosthetic attachments. Then the FA gundam raped a bunch of their pilots and MS (They were a fairly small base so they only had a handful of MS and pilots to begin with) so they basically armed up the prototype with everything they had and threw it at the gundam.
>>
>>5879224
I've been using pour types for years now with no real side effects. I also clean up the lines with Zippo lighter fluid though.
>>
>>5879235
Really? I've heard some horror stories with the pour types and enamel washes in general on the bare plastic. Especially once the star wars kits came out and a bunch of modelers who don't normally build bandai stuff tried them out.
>>
>>5879174

pour type plus abs plastic is the problem.

The pieces will shatter or split.

Most gunpla kits are comprised mostly of non-abs plastic, so just pay attention to which sprues you have that might be ABS, the sprue often is labeled as such both directly and in the manual, and are typically sprues with joints or hands and such.

Depends on the shipping type. Regular (SAL) will usually take about 2 weeks. I've gotten orders as quickly as 1 week or up to about 20-25 days if they're slow (but the upper range is pretty rare). EMS usually takes less than a week, is more expensive and you may be liable for additional fees/taxes on arrival depending on where you live.

Koto plastic is more brittle and tends to snap more easily. Which is probably a result on whatever mix they're using since neither PS nor ABS are brittle plastics unless they've degenerated in some way like being molded under unusual temperatures.

if you have a flat headed scriber (like mr line chisel, not like tamiya 2 or carbide scriber) you could cut your line width into dymo tape and use that as a guide, removing only what is visible. Even depth will still be hard though.

Hey, what's the best way to ship and move completed gunplay?

Anyone have any experience with the Sparmax TC-610H coimpressor? How does it compare to the one recommended in the guide (the TC-20T)?
>>
>>5880550
Literally the same thing but in a metal shroud that probably does nothing but trap heat. There might be better quality control but that's a gamble.
>>
>>5880536
Huh, maybe I wasn't using enough of it when I was trying to weld the pieces? I know with Bandai plastic, it's not quite a little bit goes a long way, but I never needed what I felt like was a lot.
>>
>>5880540
A new materia type with actual feet instead of boots?
>>
>>5880576
It's not exactly the same thing. The sparmax is 1/6hp, slightly weaker than the tc-20, but the case actually looks pretty handy and it does look a little more solidly built. They're both probably made at the same factory, though.

My problem is this. The TC-20T costs like 100$, but since it's so big, importing it to my country (and buying an adapter for 220v) would run me about 200$ after shipping and taxes. The Sparmax one I can get from sealmodel for 180$ before shipping, but since they offer shipping by sea it'll probably end up around 250$ in total. It'd cost a little more, but I'd be paying a much lower markup. So I'm wondering if it may be justified to get it instead, if it is actually higher quality.
>>
>>5880630
How's surface shipping for you? Because sealmodel's surface shipping to the east coast US can take anywhere from 1.5 month to 3 months depending on when the ship sails.

>>
>>5880638
It'd probably take that much if not longer, but I'm in no particular rush. If I do pull the trigger on getting an airbrush I'd want to buy some paints, thinners etc from them anyway; both because they're the cheapest and because you can't get certain brands where I live (no Tamiya or Mr Hobby, just stuff that's more geared towards military modeling like Vallejo, Humbrol, Ravell, etc).
>>
>>5880540
First Bunnylard and now this? Marvelous. She doesn't look like a small child which is even better.
>>
So, question from a beginner:
I'm trying to paint my 1/144 Barbatos, and I don't like sticker so I'm trying to paint the little things on the shoulders red, and I got it a little out of the line so I was using some thinner to get off the excess, and instead of getting it off, it's like... smearing into the plastic? How do I prevent that?

I'm using Testors Enamel Fl. Red along with Testors Enamel Thinner & Brush Cleaner.. I know these aren't recommended paints for this, but I only have a local Michaels and this is all they carry besides cheapo craft paint (and they're easy to quickly pocket while walking down the aisle)

>>5880669

>stealing shit they barely sell any of anyway
>increasing likelihood they will just drop the product

>>
>>5880675
I've literally just started the hobby, I lifted one bottle of paint and one bottle of thinner to see if I enjoyed the hobby... I'll probably end up buying the good quality stuff from online if I end up liking it, I just don't want to ruin the model more by putting more red on it, or if it's just because I'm using enamels
>>
>>5880669

>using shitty paint
>stealing shitty paint
>trying to paint in tiny details, probably for the very first time, with said stolen, shitty paint

It's almost like you have never heard of this thing, that all people have, called "an opinion".
Not everyone has the same successful results with the same products. Some people like different factors, like viscosity, drying time, aggressiveness, and so forth, when it comes to their preferred glue.
If you spend your whole life asking what other people like best, you are missing out on discovering what YOU find best.
For example, I prefer Plastruct Bondene for seam welding. Never heard of it? I'm not surprised. :^)

Bandai needs to learn more than a thing or two from Koto, Koto has them beat everywhere except market penetration, yet even in that Koto is getting the upper hand.

Luckily, Bandai are retards who'll keep shitting Super Fuminas and Zakus left and right. They'll never learn, they'd scrap P-Bandai had they a braincell or two.

gunpla babbies being triggered, move along

>because neither of you have any real facts you're just spewing shit

At a recent gunpla expo bandai announced sales were up in 2015. Bandai is also a much larger company that regularly throws like half its catalogue back into production and when they release a new kit it gets several production runs before being moved back into the on and off production. Their stuff can also be found in a wider variety of stores due both to Gundam being well known and that the kits tend to have a lower age rating and are more beginner friendly.

Koto is a smaller company all around and tends to focus more on the collector and regular modeler markets. A lot of their stuff never sees a second production run and for as popular as FAGs are they still took a long time before they could do a second run of them.

Don't get me wrong, Koto is a great company and I like their stuff, but they aren't Bandai is size and the two aim at different sized markets.

Quick reminder that the 3.0 wasn't originally even supposed to be called the 3.0. The point of the kit was that it was an MG version of the 1/1 statue (Like the RG was a 1/144 version of it). But there was some copyright shinanigans with the name they wanted to use and "3.0" was their sort of plan B name they had to use. The kit itself actually uses a couple parts from the 2.0. Don't expect more 3.0 kits.

>>5881395
Maybe they're waiting for the OVA with the full battle of Loum. The gundam got a MG early because it doesn't appear in the flashback chapters outside of a quick set of plans on a big screen during a presentation so they didn't really have to wait for an in series appearance.
