So my first experience at the Lego Store was very pleasant. Got my King's Mech and promo pack. Pick-a-Brick was lacking anything exciting. Unfortunately also the Klinkers Mixels were sold out. I needed that Jinxy.
Does anyone with the King's Mech also have an issue with the right arm not wanting to stay up due to weight on the joint? I didn't know if it was a defective balljoint or just design flaw.
Also I haven't bought a set in ages. Do they normally come with this many spare parts? Are the spare parts random for each box? I got an extra beard which I was surely excited for. Threw it on one of my forestman.
whoa dude, you got an extra beard in the kings mech? And its ginger? I was JUST looking at those for a figure I want to send to someone, and thats the perfect shade. PLEASE tell me the extra beard is normal!!!!
Girlfriend wanted a custom minifig so I ofc had to accept and make two of my own to meet the requirement of 3. Place was packed and we were definitely the only adults there without children. She wanted to score my a cat to go with the Kingdoms Blacksmith set I just got in the mail. She made what I'm guessing is a female cyborg burglar. I needed some castle females so I said what the hell.
Tried to get a orgasm face for the green dress but the girlfriend said it looked silly and basically grabbed me out a different head. That made me sad.
basically anything the size of a 1x1 plate, OR a held item generally gets at least 1 extra now
nexo knights (and the new star wars) give you a shitton of whatever "bullet" comes with a shooter now
the logic is pretty much "we dont want to deal with bitching if anything smaller than a 1x1 is missing, just give one extra of each"
given how the extras work though, i actually find it a bit hard to believe that 1x2 plate is extra
oh, one other note
its one extra per bag, each piece that follows that rule
so for wu's dragon for example, iirc, theres 4 extra katanas of three different colors, the trans sword, two gold sticks, two gold sword handles, and an axe blade, all extra
thats a shitton of extra weapons, because their held items are over three separate bags
glad you found where that 1x2 went though, especially that quick. normally something that "big" doesn't get an extra, so i was certainly curious
Is there a way to search for multiple parts on bricklink? There are a couple parts that I want and stores always seem to have one part and not the other. Thinking about just getting them on Pick-a-brick so I can get the Nexo Knight intro pack
damn i wish this ginger beard was without that stupid "medieval haircut"
you could build such a fine lamberjack or bear with this beard but no. It has some retarded "hair" attached to it.
oh im sorry then. I still should get that king...
I have the shark, Ultimate Warrior and the robot man.
Still need to get a bunch more. Shame that none of the waifus really appeal to me this time, but we just got Nexo with a bunch of them, so I guess it evens out.
So far, I've got: 2 kendo guys, the squaw, the ballerina, green knight, queen, and ultimate warrior.
Still want farmer, astronaut, injurybro, faun, Stand By Animal Control, janitor, and Catwoman. Desperately.
Changed up D-Walkers arm. I can't think of a good head design any ideas?
Looks like the bottom half of the firefighters helmet.
Resistance Troop Transport is so ugly yet so fun. It's my new waifu
The guy with the stolen mini-figure collection here.
>turned out that my step-son didn't sell them.
>turned out that my wife was behind it.
>after I showed her some ebay listenings of some of the figures, I saw that she qas a bit shocked.
>I thought it was that she realized how bet her son fucked up.
>but it was her realizing that she sold me stuff far under the value.
>turns out that she sold my stuff at the local pawn-shop(also some of my boxed lego sets)
>I went there and bought some figs back, but all the rare once where gone allready.
>I moved out of the trailer for now.
Sorry for the blog post /lg/. I think you guys are the only ones that understand this. I told a friend about it and he just asked: this is about lego?
Do you have a picture of your collection before that happened ?
Anyway i feel you mate. I alway used to get mad when some people steal my minifig, but then again i stole some to the same people, i guess that's more like trading
>Go to LEGO store this past week
>Never buy more than Pick a Brick or minifigs because I can get most of the sets cheaper elsewhere
>Putting together figs at the tower with daughter
>Wife brings over the King's Mech and Infernox Captures the Queen sets
>"These are exclusives, right Anon? You should get these for yourself. I know you like the Nexo Knights. You deserve it and you never get anything here."
>Buy and build them, badass starting sets
>Walmart Closing north of us, everything will be going half off in a few days
>Get there at 8 in the morning, place is already a Black Fridayesque madhouse
>Go immediately to toy aisles
>Nexo Knights still in stock, nab last Chaos Chariot, Fortrex, and take Lance's Horse and Moltar's Crusher as well
>Grab Lego Dimensions Doctor Who level pack for the wife
>Grab Dimensions Unikitty for my daughter
January is usually the worst. The Monday of the whole year, so why is this week so BASED.
>get Microfighter Ghost
>it's okay at best
Should've gotten the Wookie ship. I wanted the X-wing but the store didn't have any.
At least I now have Hera. And it's not like I won't get every one eventually, I have all 12 previous ones already.
Probably the pop singer CMF girl if the selection was similar to my LEGO store recently.
Best LEGO o face would be from any of the Christmas Caroling minifigs. Even has blushed cheeks looking like they're ready for a facial.
Does anyone have this bad boy yet? Is it worth the price.
I like to think so. I've been taking it apart slowly whenever I need the pieces, but it was pretty great when I had it together. I was planning on combining it with the Unimog set, but life happens.
So I've been working on another batch of cars. It's a pretty big one this time.
Individual pictures to follow.
This is one I've already posted here, but I've made a couple of changes to it since then.
Some of you may recognize this one,
Is somebody screenshotting these posts? Because on the off chance this is legit, this is gold. Same with the grandma fucker.
Although the odds of two complete fucking losers randomly info-dumping the thread with info about their white trash lives at the same time seems a bit low.
>Because on the off chance this is legit
> his wife's son
> real father threatens to beat his ass
> banned from target
> for stealing Yu-Gi-Oh cards
It just gets better and better and more this can't be real

No sets listed for bonkle so don't ask.
(part 3 and end)
It's part of the firefighter get up.
His "shitty drawings" are pretty damn accurate you entitled shit.
Here's the last one I got from a previous thread, also new IP. I'd love to see better images or any more set pictures.
>tfw could afford both of these right now if they came out
>but they're not going to come out for an eternity
>desire to splooge on bricklink intensifies
I don't know what to get. I want an AT-ST, a Republic Gunship, TIE Defender, TIE Bomber and the Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser, but at the same time I'm going kinda "eeeh" and browsing through every single Star Wars set released between 1999 and now to see if anything catches my interest. It's maddening.
She wasn't on Kashyyk so why would she be with the Turbo Tank set in Kashyyk?
Yeah there's been at least one TIE Advanced X1 that I could buy, but it costs 70 euros used.
That's my main problem with most of those sets that I listed, they all cost ridiculous amounts for the parts you get, so I can't choose which one would be the least stupid thing to buy.
I've also got the 2013 A-Wing here, I just like the one in the Mon Calamari Cruiser a lot more.
But she wasn't on Kashyyk, she was on Felucia, she should be either in a AT-TE or AT-OT
>Bionicle: this year has a simpler storyline as kids were getting confused. will come with 4x 22min netflix movies.
Everything else is neat though.
Don't worry, she'll come eventually.
Now we're missing
>Ki Adi Mundi
Also Ashoka, but she'll probably be in one of these sets or an upcoming one.
>Encounter on Jakku (75148) – £49.99 – Includes Unkar Plutt, Rey, BB-8, Teedo, and a brick-built Luggabeast. The Force Awakens set where Rey encounters Teedo riding a Luggabeast while he’s capturing BB-8.
>Darth Vadar’s TIE Advanced (75150) – £29.99 – Includes 4 minifigures. Set has Vader’s TIE Advanced and an A-Wing.
Is it possible these two are mixed up or something? There's no way the Luggabeast set is £50, I imagine it's no larger than a Droid Escape set.
The last A-Wing at £25 and Tie at £30 makes this price somewhat believable, however I imagine it'd be closer to £60/£70. Maybe if the fighters are a little smaller.
A new episode of Lego Quest is up if anybody wants to join in!
Seeing that round plate on the Ultimate Beast Master set inspired me to make this engine.
>Minifigs have wrist articulation
>Bigfigs have wrist articulation
>Axl's wrists locked in place
FOR WHAT PURPOSE.
Order 66 at the end of RotS. A lot of different planets where Jedi are wasted.
Made some more changes to the King's mech (longer legs, big gun, horns).
Axl hands are not colored as rest of his armor to match other knights
this one i guess. or at least it's the most expensive
Brickset has their first of three peoples reviews up. Currently justcreator stuff, the one two people did licenced and "girly"
Aparently the new "fun in the park" is a 9 fig set! I hope its the kind that has swings and a climbing frame etc!
That's a sick deal man. I got mine for around $30 + S&H, which was the best I could manage.
And yeah it's like $400 - 600 worth of stupid idiot kid's toys. I just happened to be gifted Cloud City back when it was in stores and only last year did I realize the value of all of it.
Hey Lego General. I have something special for you!
Here is original script of Lego the movie. IMO a lot better than the movie we get. I wish we get many of the featured figs though. enjoy your read and share your toughts!
>Suddenly, we are blinded by a powerful TUNNEL OF LIGHT. It’s an animated LEGO version of the light tunnel in 2001, which was directed by Stanley Kubrick, who knows a thing or two about making movies, so don’t step.
I do much prefer the actual movie to what I'm reading so far, though. Having a licensed character as a main character isn't a great idea.
Thinking about making a minifig scale Command Shuttle.
Do you think this is a good start ? Should i make the wings taller ? larger ?
Oh my! They are really perfect for that.
75145 Eclipse Fighter - £34.99
This set is based on an upcoming LEGO Star Wars animated series and features two minifigures, one of whom is armed with a red lightsaber, as well as a predominantly black craft and a small speeder bike. The Eclipse Fighter itself looks decent and includes lots of curved slopes and tiles which form attractive bodywork.
Presumably some hinge plates are used inside to create a wedge shape as both sides of the fuselage are angled horizontally towards the back of the model. The cockpit is set at the rear of the craft and holds a single minifigure while the speeder bike is a separate vehicle entirely and belongs to the other minifigure, who is seen riding it on the packaging.
75147 Star Scavenger - £49.99
Four minifigures are included in this set, one of which is a droid represented at the toy fair by a Battle Droid in dark orange, although I don’t know whether that will be the final minifigure or not. The hammerhead-shaped bridge section holds just one minifigure and there are weapons mounted on either side, rather like 75025 Jedi Defender Class Cruiser.
The rear section is fairly substantial and includes two thrusters as well as angled armour plating which covers each flank of the vessel and extends far enough to form small wings. Inside is a vehicle with a shovel mounted on the front which can be removed for scavenging operations, as the name would suggest. The entire model is light bluish grey and dark bluish grey with dark blue highlights and looked rather messy to me, borrowing features or many other craft and combining them to form an ugly craft.
75148 Encounter on Jakku - £49.99
I had high hopes for this set and am very pleased with the results. Rey, BB-8, Unkar Plutt, Teedo and another Jakku Thug are included along with Teedo’s Luggabeast which is mainly brick built but includes some new leg elements which are articulated independently. This model measured about 15cm in length. I cannot comment on the quality of the minifigures as they were not shown.
Unkar Plutt’s junk shop at Niima Outpost also appears in the set and looks as ramshackle as it is in the movie. A couple of small huts and tents are spread across a 16x16 plate and a 8x16 plate along with lots of small assemblies which represent old engines and other bits of scrap harvested from crashed Rebel and Imperial starships.
75149 Resistance X-wing Fighter - £79.99
This set looks like a replica of 75102 Poe’s X-wing fighter, albeit with a blue and white colour scheme rather than orange and black. The model offers few new functions but the Hyperdrive is removable from the rear of the fighter. I was hoping the laser cannon concealed underneath would be present but unfortunately it is not. A small piece of Tuanal village is included with a pop-up flame feature to replicate the incineration of the settlement in the opening scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Four minifigures are found in this set: Poe Dameron wearing his jacket, BB-8, Lor San Tekka and a Flame Trooper. These were not shown but I expect Poe’s hair piece will be the same as that of Superman in the current Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice sets.
75150 Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced and A-wing Fighter - £79.99
This is one of two sets based on Star Wars Rebels which were shown at the toy fair and is the better of the two in my opinion. Both Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced and the A-wing Fighter are the best versions of the respective craft yet due to the increased level of detail. The TIE Advanced is a little stubbier than previous versions to replicate the style seen in Rebels and includes a pair of spring loaded shooters in place of the laser cannons, just like 75082 TIE Advanced Prototype.
The A-wing is slightly larger than earlier models and features a new light bluish grey and dark green colour scheme. Two missiles are hidden underneath and the cockpit canopy is hinged to allow the pilot access. Best of all, the fins mounted above and below each thruster are angled to replicate their onscreen appearance perfectly!
Sabine Wren, an A-wing Pilot, Darth Vader and a minifigure listed only as ‘Grand Moff’ are included. Darth Vader’s helmet sculpt has been altered yet again to reflect the stylised version from Star Wars Rebels while the ‘Grand Moff’ is presumably Tarkin, who appeared in the first season, or a different character who has yet to be seen in the animated series. I suspect it is Grand Moff Tarkin, although Darth Vader and his TIE Advanced did not appear until season two and have yet to share the screen with Tarkin.
75151 Clone Turbo Tank - £99.99
I am quite disappointed by this set. The model is significantly smaller than 8098 Clone Turbo Tank, using these wheel elements which are moulded in dark bluish grey and capped with six stud wide dish elements. The suspension is similar to earlier versions of the Juggernaut and many of the play features are familiar too. An AT-RT can be placed inside the main hold and there are firing missiles mounted on both sides. The most interesting new function is the raising lookout tower which is controlled using a gear inside the tank. This works perfectly and is faithful to the movie but at the cost of its appearance which is spoiled by the visible gear racks.
The minifigure selection is equally mediocre in my view, consisting of a Clone Scout Trooper, Commander Gree, two Battle Droids, Luminara Unduli and Quinlan Vos. The last two of those are the most appealing but both have appeared in sets before, albeit with Star Wars: The Clone Wars styling.
75157 Captain Rex’s AT-TE Walker - £99.99
This too fell below my expectations, although it is quite a good set on the whole and I was perhaps too optimistic before seeing the model. I am impressed by the interior detail and the general shape of the model is accurate to the television series but it is smaller than I had anticipated and the bright colours of the platforms on the vehicle look odd in LEGO. Some colourful panelling appears on the AT-TE in Rebels but this is badly worn, an effect which cannot be replicated using the colours which are available to LEGO designers at present.
Captain Rex, Commander Wolffe and Gregor are included along with a Stormtrooper and an Inquisitor. The labelling did not specify which Inquisitor this is and the actual minifigure was not shown but I would assume it will be either the Seventh Sister or the Fifth Brother as both have only appeared in season two just like the Clones and their AT-TE.
>Set based on Star Wars Rebels
>Gets upset that the set reflects the show.
Either don't buy it, or modify it if you're unhappy with it.
>LEGO ideas for existing franchises
Why do people keep doing this. LEGO will just reject any that get past 10000 and then make their own, like they did with Portal, and Helicarrier, and Wizard of Oz, etc.
He has for a not so important background character quite some text.
Officially his role was bigger and they let him chase Rey to Takodana where he threats her.
When Chewie came to the rescue and Unker made a stupid joke about his injured arm Chewie took Unkars arm of his body. After they enter the castle of Maz, chewie drops the arm on a table, but J.J. thought it was maybe to bloody for the film.
Nigga if you think LEGO hasn't thought of every set to make for Star Wars you're a fucking idiot.
It's the most popular IP of the most profitable toy company in the entire world.
Some fat nerd who clicked some bricks together for Star Wars isn't revolutionizing anything, especially when its from their most recent movie.
Fucking stuff that's barely getting leaked out right now was probably on the works before any neckbeard even saw TFA.
Even with 10000 votes, they wouldn't accept a user submitted set for a franchise of that calibur.
You do know that the creators of successful Ideas set get like 1% of the total sales of said sets, right?
For an existing IP that's owned by Disney, they'd just reject and make their own to cut that person out, using the Ideas project as a mere market study.
I don't think anyone who's had an accepted Ideas project has been some regular Joe NEET. These people have actual careers.
>I don't think anyone who's had an accepted Ideas project has been some regular Joe NEET. These people have actual careers.
That's probably because, in spite of the fact that LEGO is a "toy" to casuals, most of the people who actually work for LEGO are actual engineers, architects, etc.
You actually have to have some prestige going into work as a designer, so I'm sure they'd want some of that to carry over to the sets that are being submitted as Ideas projects.
>Darth Vader’s helmet sculpt has been altered yet again to reflect the stylised version from Star Wars Rebels
Just when I thought I already had enough of the LED keychains
There have been two Turbo Tanks, Ep. III (7261) in 2005 and CW (8098) in 2010.
The first TIE Advanced was in 7150 in 1999, and unless you like the original blocky sets, it's pretty meh. The next one was in 2004 in the TIE Collection, and it's a slight improvement over the original (and 10131 is a really hard-to-find set). The 2009 version (8017) was pretty good.
A-wings have been more plentiful.
7134, the crappy first one in 2000;
6207, a good improvement in 2006;
A green one in 7754, the Home One set, in 2009;
75003, which was better yet, in 2013.
I do not mind this. It just means I can safely say no to the set without feeling any gnawing sense of regret, just like with all the decently-designed CW sets that had hideous minifigs. Between saying no to Rebels, CW, UCS, Microfighters, and CCBS figures, I've cut my checklist by at least 60%.
Lego doesn't want a repeat of this. Location sets are hard to do without making them $300, which automatically means 80%+ will be snapped up by collectors and scalpers on day 1.
Is...is "mad garbage" a good thing or bad thing? I'm not up on all the hip cats' new 'Net slang.
All I know is when 10-year-old me saw it on the back of the Lego catalog, I knew I absolutely had to have it.
>tfw I never did
I mean it's pointless and awful. It's a big block of three different things jammed together, with a huge landing pad out back.
One of the reasons it's expensive is because almost no one liked it or bought it when it was released.
>New Quinn set
>Possible Killer Croc and Scarecrow sets
>Bionicle summer 2016
What do I do.
Should I drop a series?
I love bionicle.
Should I just stop after 2017?
Should I stop collecting batman?
Should I sell my marvel sets?
Really, "Big" SW playsets are always kinda crappy. I mean as that other guy said, you have to make them really expensive to make them nice. Like that huge Ewok village was really nice....I mean, as nice as a huge ass Ewok village can be.
But usually you get weird shit like this. And then they basically just sorta remade this set a couple more times for later playsets.
The release of the Death Star Final Duel and Carbon Freeze Chamber have given me more hope for newer, better SW playsets.
Pic related was what we started with.
IIRC, this set was chosen out of a poll--it was more a boon to the fans than anything else.
>And then they basically just sorta remade this set a couple more times for later playsets.
Well, this recent final Dual set was really similar in a lot of ways.
But the Palpatine's Arrest set was just kinda....bad. If for no other reason than it was nearly a $100 set, and was, 660 pieces or something.
Only way it wasn't totally highway robbery was the fact that every minifigure, except maybe Kid Fister was exclusive to that set.
Hey, I said the set was garbage, not the figs.
The Boba and Lando figs in that set were great. Boba especially, that level of detail around that time in LEGO's history was unheard of.
I agree with this anon. Minifigures were the best reason to get it, but the little playsets were too small to be enjoyable. If they came out with playsets of each of those sections (like they already did with the Carbonite Freezing Chamber) then it might be nice to put them all together. Otherwise, you're left with only small parts of otherwise cool scenes.
>doctor strange’s lab. with bookshelves, a table, and a portal
I am single handedly probably making up most of the yearly income for a particular shop on Bricklink.
I've made multiple orders from his shop. But last nights was the most expensive.
He is one of the most popular on the site. I wonder how much money he makes.
Nope, Master Fister came out in the Jedi starfighter/hyperdrive ring set in 2007 (albeit without a cape).
What made the Sheev's Arrest set different, though, was that it had new versions of Palpatine, Anakin, Mace, and Saesee Tiin besides the CW versions. Agen Kolar was new.
In one set? I think so.
>still using old ships from over a thousand years ago
Are you fucking sure.
Besides you might have guessed from the question after the first one that I realised it's from the Rebels. I'm just questioning why.
41130 Rollercoaster, £89.99
Includes Andrea, Emma, Matthew and Maya.
Seeing the price and title of this set might get you all excited - "a £90 rollercoaster set, Wow!" - but I had reasonably low expectations of the set and was thus not too disappointed with what we're getting. The set actually includes a coaster, a vertical drop ride that reuses the threaded fireman's pole from the Ghostbusters HQ, and a Ferris wheel with 6 gondolas.
The rollercoaster itself is a single loop with one incline and one drop, both fairly shallow. At the drop there is an overhead gantry to take the obligatory photo of the minidolls as they descend! There is no motorisation, the cars are just pushed around the medium azure track, but the car of the coaster has a light brick at the front which illuminates when a minidoll is seated in the car.
There is a turnstile at the entrance and a counter with 1x1 ticket tiles, printed with a star.
In general, I really like these sets, they somehow have a fairly retro vibe for me. The predominant colour scheme throughout the subtheme is dark pink and medium azure though the individual sets have different accents too. I love the hot dog van in particular though all the smaller sets are different enough that I'll probably get them all.
The rollercoaster is slightly disappointing and I definitely would have preferred a larger stand alone one with a more interesting and ambitious course (more twists and turns). That said, there isn't really anything wrong with the Ferris wheel or vertical drop ride and altogether the set doesn't look too bad value for money.
Oh shit the coaster has a loop
You guys failed me
Why did I have to learn about this set in WalMart and not here?
First, please excuse the mediocre picture, but... That set is so fucking awesome !!
The general design is really cool and even though it doesn't a vehicle belonging to pirates, the design based more on a shark than anything else, it looks so right with the anchors as wingtips and the bones as tailfin structure.
The build is very fun and simple, with one or two "oh that's nice" moments, namely the chest and air intakes assembly, which feels just right. The size is pretty much perfect, it's that size that makes you want to go and *fwoosh* it all over the place.
The stickers are numerous (14 in total with one on Lloyd's drone, not pictured here) but every last one of them add to the aspect of the model, and make it pop really well, mainly the four used on the fins on each side and on the tailfins.
My only complaints are the holes on the side of the cockpit and the fact that I feel like the chests on the sides open just a bit too easily, even though it might be for the function to work without problem, and it does.
I can't recommand this set enough, at €20 it's really a steal and may be one of my favourite of the current year as of right now. I just wish Lloyd got the new pauldron, since it looks so good. I might need to order one...
Yeah, Death Star Final Duel is cool and all but I don't want to drop $79.99 for a playset, and I'm about done buying stuff on BrickLink for now given that I've scooped up new Marvel figs, a Kylo Ren, and enough pieces to build a moc with.
>>Nexo Knights episode 8
Where are these Episodes premiering anyways?
I had it set up to record them on Cartoon Network, but that just ended up taping Clarence instead...
>Im hoping the Vader isn't over rebel styled...
>I'm hoping it is. I already have a standard style Vader.
Yeah, Rebels Vader is actually pretty spooky looking...
>>Teedo and his luggabeast
Just saw TFA yesterday, and seeing that Teedo actually WAS featured in a Scene made me wonder when we'd be getting him.
>Same with the grandma fucker.
Grandma fucker isn't that bad...
More villians? My dark ninja master has a ninja mech with many blades.
Greedo was in 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina in 2004, which was another terrible-at-the-time set that's been massively overinflated on the aftermarket because of its minifigs. Cloud City playset was 2003.
tfw i stole greedo han and obi wan from a friend when we were 8
If I ever have kids with her I will definitely give him my Legos.
I got the set of ultimates at walmart, and then ended up buying a couple of the fun packs off of the LEGO site once they went half off to get the little intro pack. Gonna wait to finish the set entirely, but man are the nexos fun as fuck.
I won't have too, you'll pick her up right before she's phased out
I didn't find it but someone made a video on youtube and of course since the ship is on 2 pages you can't see shit, but it seems that TLG made the central body on the official one really nice, just some tweek to make it a little bit bigger and larger, but no major rework, so there's that
We dont have kids , Fuck that we would rather have fun for a good few years still.
Moving house in a few days so I can finally get my LEGO CITY TABLE :D
This is my older layout, I have about 5 more buildings now though !!!
You have to get through shitty NEET years first as anybody here does.
Namefagging is fine in threads like this. I can usually tell who Legoquest is and the waifig guy and the sexBots guy is. Names would make life easier tho
Don't bother, that pic is just nice for the proportion, for details and such i have a really high res picture already. But thanks
You don't even need to be a creative genius to be recognizable. Its all about repetion. Say for example you onlr post pictures of offical sets. Even something as simple as shoehorning the same minifig in the background of each of your photos is enough to earn recognition.
My modulars are last thing to box for moving, May just move them all in the car desu , Already had to disasemble my City plan sets tallerthatdefault avengers tower
It does, but the firefighter's head sits much higher up, and as I recall, that piece has a thing on the back which would prevent it from being put on top of body armor.
It would take a few days and my customs would be a pain in ass to rebuild apart from the club desu.Ive got next 10 days off for my move and birthday and I Already got birthday Lego to build. Along with my Avengers tower which is in pieces along with all my spaceships and vw to rebuild
I know I def have Lego for birthday and wont be told what colour it is so im rreaaaaaallly leaning towards maybe having a xwing soon
The alien pauldrons let the breathing mask fit snuggly inside the slot where the air tanks would fit into. The hat secures everything in place.
It took me a few tries to get right. That pauldron is one of the last remnants of my childhood stash.
This, people will be able to tell who you are when you post what you make (which is really the only time when an identity might be important).
You can be recognized for your presentation, your style of writing (more difficult to recognize), your building style, etc.
for me its another way. i probably will have money to buy sets that i want (demonic jester, that weird piggy-car thing) but my life turned into a depressive shit sinse my parent died, i need to sell an apartament and be more responsible... I think i already have enough lego. I should have less "toys" and "be light" (dont know how to say that in english but when you have too many things its hard to move).
What if i will move to another town or even country. All my legos will stay here anyways. Life before loss of a parent looks a bit childish to me.
May be i will be buying some small sets like mixels to build Max or something like that. May be i will be back to buying many legos when i will be older and have a new place in another city and know for sure that my life is stable.
There comes a point in every man's life where he says to himself "I have had enough LEGO, I do not need more". It's nothing to be ashamed of. It just means you're growing up.
Keep in mind that this will only last for about 12 months, where you will then think "I WAS WRONG, I WANT MORE LEGO". So don't actually get rid of the LEGO stuff you own.
Posting my Lego room, Enjoy. I'll take some questions or comments, or picture requests.
Here's my infamous batman shelf, Which i need to replace with a sturdier one. each of the batmobiles has a wedge under the wheel to keep them from falling to their doom every time the train goes by.
Here's the Marvel/DC shelf. which doubles as a project table. the Lego room is actually a top floor room, so the ceiling slants with the roof. Pity.
Wish I did. last one bit the dust. Or rather the rocks.
Here's the corner of colors. I'm one of those dipshits who can't sort by parts, because everything should be color coded.
And the bionicle shelf. along with the small part drawers.
Upper section of the bionicle shelf. contains memories and heresy.
The ability to make a new thread exists for a reason, Friend.
And that's it. Money well spent.
Money i could have used to buy a better camera, honesty.
>Find set I want on eBay yesterday, cheaper than usual
>No buy now option, but zero bids
>Come back today, a few minutes before bidding expires
>Still zero bids
>Wait until it's about to run out
>Try to place bid
>Not logged in
>Time runs out before I can log in
>The ability to make a new thread exists for a reason, Friend
You really missed the point I was trying to make huh? You could have uploaded them in this thread, the last thread, the next thread or any thread ever. It wouldn't matter either which way because your photos are blurred, dark and grainy. Your collection seems cool and some clear photos would be awesome. But If you can't be bothered to do something semi-compently just don't bother at all.
I need a lego mathematician here. Is it possible to make a hinged border between the red and yellow handle, what should i mod to make it possible.
If you can't picture what i mean, the same thing as the black border on the First Order Tie Fighter.
Your waifu aren't safe from the tentacles.
>I need more joint pieces.
I may have crossed a line on this one.
can I still find that in stores? That's rad as shit
The simple trick is that you don't need a hard anchor for the "on-grid" section.
Are you going to have an inner panel connected to the blue/yellow hinges like the existing panel is?
As it stands you have a slightly odd width due to the 2x2 bracked plates you're using for the hinges, if you have mirrored panels it'll be 6 plates thick.
I fucking love this thing. Wanna get it next weekend.
the things is - sinse im almost alone now im a little scared about "where to put all this childish stuff if something happens".
Im so happy that i "didnt had enough klocki" and by that i mean big sets like full castles or bigger modulars or etc. I would have problems with them right now.
We have 2 apartaments and one of them needs to be sold in future. I dont even know where to put all that stuff (regular objects/furniture).
And i want to leave this little town in future sinse there are not that much that keeps me in there anymore, and i never liked it. I obviously would not be able to take legos with me. May be few favorite builds and minifigures.
But yeah i probably will get some small sets later during summer when life will get more stable.
No you haven't gone far enough. That tentacle needs to be poised to penetrate that minifig.
Cool, some people might care. Some people might have a conversation over it. Some people might be faggots. I wonder where you fall?
From what i hear from basically everybody ever is that selling off their lego was seen in hindsight as a mistake, Just because you feel bad now (wich is natural) don't do anything drastic that might make you feel like shit in the future.
> I obviously would not be able to take legos with me
why is that?
So fellas, got my Kingdoms Blacksmith Attack in. It's a pretty fun set. Waterwheel turns making the hammer come down on the anvil. I added in the cat, barrel, and lady. Placed on a solid base with an blue extension for the river.
Posting my Lego stuff 1/2. Note I'm from America
>From what i hear from basically everybody ever is that selling off their lego was seen in hindsight as a mistake,
Oh no, no - im not gonna sell my lego. I just will not buy some big sets that i wanted to buy before. I should choose wisely right now.
But yeah i will heep all my legos with me.
>why is that?
i dont know how that works. Isn't...the "new place" in other town or country will be super busy and may be small so i wont even have time to be a lego fan that much let alone freely buy and display legos like in my own place here (what if i will need to change my place again, move to another or even return back...the future is unknown and expensive toys make it heavier...).
I guess first years will be like that if that happens...
How did /lg/ get back into lego? Was it a particular set/line or did you never lose interest in the first place?
For me I received the Wall-e set as a gift after being mostly away from Lego since about 2003. I decided to see what Lego's other offerings were and got interested in the nexo knights series which has me locked up pretty good right now
>Mars Mission comes out right as I enter my dark ages
>A couple years later, regret not getting this
>Costs something like $200 on eBay
>Post my tale of woe on /toy/
>Someone introduces me to Bricklink
>Okay, I'll just buy this one set...and this other one...and this one, too....
Oh my aren't you so very cool. Remember when I called you a faggot. That's still valid. You can go elsewhere anytime.
It's when I dug them out of storage from my parent's house to sell. Once I got them home my girlfriend wouldn't let me part with my Castle stuff. Then it kinda blew up from there.
