>Day after the New Years party. Make a diorama of your characters hungover as shit and shocked at the things they did the night before.
>Take a new 2016 set and build something ONLY using pieces from it.
>Benis (Best Entry: Ninjas in Swimwear)
>Freedom is great. Build a diorama of a villain escaping prison or guarded transport with/without the help of henchmen.
>A bar for your minifigs to drink at for the New Years party.
>Finish that unfinished MOC from 2015!
Rebuilt this truck after it sat in pieces in a box for nearly 20 years. Got a huge nostalgia rush since I hadn't seen it since I was about 6 years old.
(Next to Ecto-1 for size comparison)
Continued work on refining the robo horse. Can't stop messing with this thing
Well, i was in three of these shops today and let's take a look how much they want for this junior set
SMYK - 50ZL
TRU - 53ZL
so the winner is... ELF! they have same prices as the catalog ones.
In the show it's a "power mace" and when not in use the little points retract to look like >>5392856
When she gets ready to use it the points extend with the 1x1 circles under them and it makes an electric whine like a flashbulb charging.
I thought it was cool and I have two copies of her mace, one set up each way and I swap them out depending on how I pose her.
Couldn't figure out how to make it look less ridiculous when storing the weapons
Ah OK now I remember where I've seen this before.
Anon on holiday in Sweden here. Went to the Mall of Scandinavia today which is (I'm pretty sure) home to the only Lego brand Store in the country.
I was going to get the King's Mech or a Kopaka&Melum Unity Set, but was a little tight on my holiday budget and so brought home a couple of Ultimates.
Both Lavaria and Beast Master are great figures who come with cool stuff, but I like BM's 'big weapon' more. Lavaria's spider legs get in the way of her weaponry a bit.
man Nexo Knights are cool as fuck, I haven't been this into LEGO sets in forever
If the anon from last thread is still around some of my parts came in to extend my first order transport. It wasn't that difficult. I did it section by section. I'll post some pics when I'm finished
The hood ornament is cute, good job. Beautiful machine man, mein technic fig would look nice in that beast.
What do you think the chances are that the Exosuit will skyrocket in price after lego stop making it?
Just started watching Tartakovsky's Clone Wars evoking childhood memories of me staring at Republic Gunship (7163) every time I went to the toy store. What would be proper price for 7163 or 7676 and any other stores for europoor than Amazon/ebay?
Just spent $30 on this, let's see if it's any good.
>Black Panther has Maul horns instead of a fucking helmet
this is a good ass set tho, save for the Quinjet and Agent Literally Who
Falcon's wings look like they're made of the same thin sheets of plastic that Space Batman and Hawkman's wings were made of last year.
They were nice and printed, so you shouldn't worry.
I made a walker using Super Soarer. It's a neat little set.
I kinda want an Exo-Suit set but the lack of color bugs the shit out of me. Bright green Classic Space men piloting the greyest suit in existence. It really needs some bright blue and yellow highlights.
Would love to get my hands on the LDD files for those x-wings if anyone has them?
Literally these people: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226
But that pic all has mocs or modded sets in it and it is a render of some LDD or CAD software so somebody had to build it.
Error: You must wait 17 seconds before posting an image reply.
I'm the guy who does the midi scale one if that's what you're thinking of.
If not, it's cool to know that someone engineered a better version of the set itself because I've been thinking about approaching it for a while. I like the shuttle a lot but the official set is atrocious
that is dedication.
And i think the pic is real. They just took the pic in a white room.
cant make these shadows
Than you dont need the stand.
And they dont face the same direction, what if you work in a CAD program will never think of changing.
And you can see the snow speeder doesnt fly but lies like gravity.
I doubt that its digital, but i could be wrong.
In LDD if you wanted to elevate one set above another it's just easier to build a stand for it
I'm not sure if there's a way in the program to change the height of a brick on the plane without building it onto something
Likely that picture was generated in BlueRender, POVRay is a bit sharper than that and hard more angular shadows.
Pretty much this V
I know atleast two people who bought multiple of it and have it just sitting in a box. It'll probably be years before the price goes up, if anything the price has been dropping on it lately, I picked up a second one for $20 off ebay the other day just for some parts I wanted out of it
Will the behemoth of brine be making an appearance in some way in future sets?
This book might be pretty neat but I can't find that much information about it
Well even then since it's an airport you could have, I dunno, A FUCKING PLANE instead of another Quinjet.
But really it feels like this set only has vehicles for that and to make it more expensive, which is a shame because my favorite kind of sets are buildings and scenes
I really hoped they would have updated his torso for Civil War. They can make it so not a single Star Wars figure except for R2-D2 and battle droids are repeated in sets but something that obvious is ignored. It´s not even like back in 2005 when they were just too lazy to make a new helmet.
Think I'm getting pretty close to where I want it. Still deciding on how much red I want.
Changed where the shield goes. Orange clip in the back flips out and plugs into it.
chima had several building or scene.
Jurassic world had.
And City, or should we call it Rescue&Emergency, had buildings.
But Lego never really had everyday life, since 2000s or even 90s, besides creator sets.
But if you take off the fairing it's gonna look even less like a horse. If you strip the body down that much you may as well pull the horse head off too and just have a plain ol jet bike.
I was just looking around on my desk and i saw the katana piece and it made me think of my first video game . . .
It's pretty good in my opinion my dude, careful with the doors when you're opening them since they can be super fucking tight and squeaky at first and it can tear them off the rest of the build if they're bad enough
well shit, new bread. Same question applies from here >>5393547
Any word on the release dates for the star wars shit that hasnt come out in america yet (IE: carbon chamber, ghost mini fighter, obi-wans ship, etc)?
Going to the Lego Store tomorrow for the first time. Don't think I've ever been in one except maybe decades ago when I was a child. How fucked am I? Only going with the intention to buy King's Mech and check out the PaB Wall.
On a side note, how concerned should I be about the stickers on the Mech. Apply or don't? I've never dealt with stickers outside of a police boat I had from 1995 or some shit.
I guess people hate stickers? I don't. I apply them with an exacto knife. Just like any other decal in a model kit, avoid touching the adhesive with your bare skin, peel the sticker off the sheet with the knife tip and line it up before you apply it.
I guess people hate the stickers because they're so unforgiving. You fuck that shit up and put it on crooked and that's it- it's crooked forever. You can't get them back off without fucking them even worse.
They train their employees like any other high end specialty store does, more like a personal shopping assistant than just clerk that doesn't give a shit if you come in or not. I actually find it fun to talk to them about what I'm their for and what I'm gonna do with it and really geek out. I've never met a Lego store employee that wasn't 100% into it, too.
Go ahead, let your power level show. It's a safe space.
>I guess people hate the stickers because they're so unforgiving.
naw, they limit parts use, though some sets are worse than others. Speed Champions are pretty bad. Apply all the stickers and now you can build a Ferrari or a slightly different shaped Ferrari.
Huh. I didn't even consider that... I guess my collection is big enough and I'm willing to BL for any individual parts I want that I just treat the decal'd pieces as if they were printed pieces.
This is without a doubt the perfect David Carridine in minifig form.
This is about the only thing I don't like about modern Lego. Scenes and places make you want to BE there, man. Don't take that joy away from me.
The Fortrex I'll forgive because it's just as much a building as a vehicle.
>Bought my autistic cousin a Lego case like this for christmas
>He is same age as me, 23
>Know he likes Lego because I let him have some of mine
>Think it will be nice for him to have somewhere to store it
>He really likes it
>Feel kind of good
>Fast forward 2 weeks
>It is ruining his slim chances at a normal life
>He is carrying it with him everywhere he goes like a briefcase
>Has 16 specific minifigures he carries in his case that he explained to me in a handwritten letter
>Barely readable due to his autism
>I will briefly summarise
>He carries 4 Lego animals, a shark, a scorpion, a parrot and an ant because when he went to the zoo they were his favorite exhibits and now he wants to share those exhibits with everyone who looks at his display case
>animals are in the 4 middle spaces
>top row is in this order: a spaceman, an alien, Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Kevin Garnett, R2-D2, and 2 farmers
>the combination of space and basketball represent his favorite movie space jam and the farmer and the firefighter represent agriculture which he wants to show people the importance of
>bottom row is a train conductor, a tennis player, a policeman, a soldier, an old man and another Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Kevin Garnett with the face scratched off
>they represent the bottom of human society, the workers of the world
>he wants to show people he understands them
>tfw he took the case to a job interview and his parents are blaming me for him not getting the job
Why is this happening? Is it the flouride in the water? The GMO food? Horrible parenting? All of the above?
Why not try and convince him to make some MOCs showing what he is talking about, and either selling them, or hell, get a tism grant for "art" and show them off as said art?
Seriously, if shit like "interior semiotics" and "plop egg" can be hailed as HIGH ART FOR THE MASSES, why cant an autism afflicted persons representation of "the tiers of society versus his personal likes, hobbies and dreams" be the same thing, if not more?
Seriously, im sure a lot of tismos, at different levels, can and do create great and wonderful things that just get ignored because "lol, hes weird and doesnt represent what society told me was normal and important!"
Not quite true. I personally believe it is a mix of a lot of the chemicals consumed in foods and containers holding said foods, both during pregnancy and after being born, and also a lot of chems we are exposed to even in the very air we breathe. Xenoestrogens for sure have been doing damage to us in a big way. But hey, im sure ill get called a tinfoiler and be told to go back to /pol/ or /x/. And no, I do NOT believe vaccines cause it at all, but the shit in plastics and the amount of estrogen pissed into the water supply because of birth control?
It would explain the explosions of transgendered people over the last 20+ years or so. And im NOT talking shit about trannys. Live your life how you want man, who cares. If any of us did, we sure as shit wouldnt be on a taiwanese woodcarving forums comparing our toys, would we?
And I stand by what I said in my other reply. Inspire the family member with autism to use the lego he builds as a creative outlet. Its def one of the best toys/hobbies for that.
Has anyone returned a pre-ordered Lego game?
It's my first time buying a Lego game at launch price because I want the Silver Centurion Minifig, but I'm not really interested in the game. I don't really wanna buy it, then return it because it seems really scummy to do that without the pre-order bonus, and I don't think they'll accept the return without it either.
Do you anons just re-sell the game at a loss or something?
I think thats what you should do. Just sell it. Otherwise you're just a cheater.
I feel bad but god damn i'm dying laughing over here
>blaming other people for his autism
I think I am seing the problem already
The new ninjago zeppelin 70603 has a real good part selection. I got it for the envelope parts (2 actually... combining them for a bigger zep!) but the best surprises were the new skull sword hilt and the ninja's head
>Not quite true. I personally believe
He presented you with historical fact and your rebuttal was: 'actually you're wrong because I think the plastic is turning us into trannies'.
Even if you have a case for those things subtly messing with our genetics, anon's cousin is not autistic because of fluoride in the water. Fuck off with that. You're right, go back to /pol/ or /x/.
>Nexo King's Mech
>Ideas Exo Suit
>Metal Gear Ultra Agents
>every other Ninjago wave
>all of Hero Factory 2014
The list goes on and fucking on. How long have the set designers been itching for a new mech-based theme?
For new sets, yes (although some places like TRU will price match). Clearance deals can be pretty good in other stores. The big benefit to shopping through Lego itself, in store or online, is getting VIP points. They effectively give you 5% back from everything you buy.
It's probably worth noting that if you're outside the US, the Lego Store has pretty steep shipping costs.
If it's something you absolutely can't find locally, it's the way to go, but it wouldn't be my first stop.
"I personally believe" BASED ON research I have read that definitely says we are exposed to probably a million times more chemicals, estrogens especially, than we USED TO BE. He was saying weve always had this same level of autists, trannies, cancers and other diseases, we just used to hide it. No, the numbers have definitely skyrocketed is all im saying. Just like how people used to smoke all the time, even from childhood, and never had near as much cancers and breathing conditions as we do now because big tabacco didnt have need to make the cigs addictive and full of fucking carcinogens. Hell, a lot of people probably got their tobacco from farmers and special herbalists and shit back then who didnt even have the means or learning to put additives and shit in it.
All I was saying is, yeah, we have pumped tons more of god knows what into the air, water and food we expose ourselves to every day, and due to that long term exposure, we are now seeing the results. Theres plenty of science out there, done by real, recognized and accredited, scientists and research groups, you just have to look.
Fucking hell, start a conversation and get screamed at about "nuh UHHHHH, you just retarded!"
Whatever you say, pal.
>Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Kevin Garnett
>Reading accredited scientific journals, the responses from other members of the scientific community, documents from the national institute of health, etc.
>"I read it on webmd and got told about it from alex jones and coast to coast radio."
Whatever you say, broseph.
Remember kids, if you did your research online out of an interest in learning something new, its automatically invalid because it was on the internet.
that's how you wind up with competing threads
No, because this isnt the board or place for it. Also google, or bing, whichever you prefer, is one click away, nigga.
Sorry guys, I just wanted to defend myself, but even that is impossible in the internet age.
Honestly, if the NIH tells me "exposing yourself to radiation can be VERY bad for you", I think I would believe it based on past research and science that has been proven. But im done. You guys win, whatever. Trolls trolling trolls just to troll.
Believe me, this is no where near political. Ive gone political before mildly and it still gets brought up every once in a while, much like mentioning things that go against the culture of general threads on /vg/ still gets brought up on me, even years later. Thank god for anonymity.
So what is everyone working on.
Hopes for future sets?
Any more leaks (heard tell of a rollercoaster coming out soon. Any pics? I know theres a pricepoint for it already)?
Anyone here do any star wars themed or inspired speeders (bike or car form)? Thats been a recent, personal passion of mine, always looking for ways to make them unique.
No, guys, hey,
Guys! That's not Lego!
Anyway, I built Moltor's Lava Smasher and Lance's Mecha Horse tonight. My kid LOVED the lava smasher. It has giant hammers attached to the front wheels that alternate smashing everything in front of the car as it rolls along.
That mecha horse though. Lame. I mean, it's a neat idea and all but the legs SUCK. I need to rebuild the legs completely to give them some articulation. As it is now it's a motorcycle that transforms into a horse STATUE.
>No, because this isnt the board or place for it.
Then why'd you start this retarded conversation?
>Also google, or bing, whichever you prefer, is one click away, nigga.
Nah, if you're goin' to be all 'muh sources' then you better be damn ready to cite them. If you don't have sources then you don't get to make claims that are allegedly backed up by sources.
Get the fuck outta here. You'd flounder in any real scientific environment.
Anyway, back to Lego.
Is there an Itchy & Scratchy mech yet? I challenge somebody to do that in the style of pic-related.
Disappointingly, the set comes with 7 of the balloon pieces, so you can't MOC a full envelope :/
Still, guess I can bricklink the extra 2 to fill out this has bag. Haven't opened the other yet, but this gives an idea!
I didn't have any red 1x2 plate modified with hooks until I got the Ultimate Lavaria, so I made these goaty derpimals with the plates and the red 1x2 cheese wedges.
This guy is a fucking loonie.
But he's right about chemicals. There's so much pesticide absorbed into food and the plastic that has been seeping into food. You've ever opened a can of tomato sauce or soup and it has that delicious tin after taste? Just imagine that stuff in all your food like soda, mayo, candy. Pretty much everything is packed in plastic these days for freshness and I without a doubt believe that for decades it has been seeping into the human system. There wouldn't be a recent push to try and manufacture plastics without these seeping components if it wasn't happening. And not also mentioning microwaving said plastics into food. I now try to store food in glass containers when available if possible.
Now, yes, it's a sad thing, but in the evolutionary chain of things, it is only making humans stronger and in the future be able to absorb much more plastic into our systems.
Perhaps one day we will reach the enlightenment point and become Lego figures ourselves.
If it's a big box game, I think it requires the figure. If it's just a game with a side polybag, it should be OK to return. Pic related you can see the big box down there.
I want this so bad and more Lego Simpsons sets. I've def. Decided to pick up the QuikEMart in March or so when they do double points.
What was the first use of the balloon piece? I know I have it on a Friends set.
Theres no denying the US uses so many harmful chemicals its outrageous. Its not even tin foil hat. I try not to think about it and just avoid what I'm aware of. It's all so damaging, I have no doubts autism is caused by something were doing.
Also I am so excited to go to the Lego Store tomorrow for the first time!
>tfw incapable of building anything interesting so you just build your sets as lego says and look at other peoples customs
Do some speed, watch some sci-fi, anime, fantasy shit, whatever, and have a big pile of parts in front of you. Thats how I got on my recent speeder/jetbike kick. First one was built under the influence, most of them after that came to me while sober.
Its not hard anon, just get ideas and modify those. Then work you're way up. You can get some mixels and just putting parts together, see where you end up.
I'll concede that chemicals may be having some minor effects on our health and metal health. But what you claim to be a happening, is nothing more then population growth and societal change.
Our global population has grown by about 3.5 billion in the last 50 years. Assuming that rates or mental impairment has stayed the same, then that still would have doubled as well. Not because there was some sort of sudden "rise", but because there was a rise across the board.
Also, we're much more "tolerant" now.
200 years ago if you had a retard child, you'd leave it outside for the animals to eat or smother it in it's crib and never speak of it again. 50 years ago, you'd dump it at an asylum with 200-300 other tards and maby visit it once every year or five. Now days you proudly display your "special needs child" and rave on about how they're so special and amazing, and maby once a month if you can afford it, send them off to a group home for a few days with 10-20 other tards.
Also, as far as you're comment about the "explosions of transgendered people over the last 20+ years or so".
Once again, that's tolerance. 50 years ago if you were gay, you kept it completely secret and tried to suppress your feelings and desires. 20 years ago, you still kinda kept it behind closed doors. Now days you have a giant street parade through the middle of Sydney. Same with Trannys.
We're much more "tolerant", which means people who have lived in secret can now be open.
To a lesser extent it's also a way for certain people do be special snowflakes and infallible douche bags. But for most parts it's because of "tolerance".
The Quinjets I can sort of understand, it's an important vehicle and the (parents of the) five year olds who buy it this year shouldn't have to pay aftermarket prices for it when it's in so many movies.
The jeeps on the other hand are fucking stupid and I hate them so goddamned much. ANYTHING would be better than those fucking jeeps and trucks.
>furrowed brow smirks are anger
Gortardation strikes again.
Not very likely because people bitched about the new maz kanada cantina set.
>mfw not many people realize the set is meant to replicate the scene where kylo walks trough the remains of the door
Do you see this face? This is the face of love.
>getting back into lego
>thinkin about minifig waifus
>completely forgot about The Twilight I have sitting on a shelf all dusty and the cute little Ahsoka in it
It's ok. For the price it was it's pretty bare bones. The ship is pretty plain and has barely any interior. Couple of easy to get minifigs and a baby hutt you probably don't give a fuck about. Should have been 30ish dollars cheaper. Might be fun for me to mod an interior for.
It was a gift desu. I've never even watched The Clone Wars. Maybe I will one day.
>going to bed last night
>suddenly have an idea to build a fucking Lego colonial fortress thingy for the pirates theme even though I have no Pirates sets at all
>now downloading Digital Designer
Someone stop me
>You can get some mixels and just putting parts together, see where you end up.
For instance, an abomination you make with the left overs of making a Max!
the bollingbrook IL meijer has some decent lego sets for 75% off sale price
had to look that up
found pic related
>lego printed lego
fuck, i was almost off the ride
Can I get your guy's opinion on my attempt at 0-0-0, BT-1, and Doctor Aphra?
>tfw my refinement a bipedal digitigrade mech is nearing completion and I will be able to unveil my first thing that isn't shit soon
Just found a way to hinge the canopy without compromising structural integrity or the layout of the cockpit.
>on the Cleveland Cavaliers
inb4 it's a old LEGO, still tell your cousin if true, change to another character to take it's spot. That's why his dumb-ass isn't getting hired truly.
If you mean other toys, nothe interested in statues or action figures.
If you mean bricks: quality.
I don't want some sloppy Chinese mega blok shit (even though some Lego is Chinese, I mean why else would they have yellow skin?).
I want to fug those droids.
Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Kevin Garnett begs to differ.
>see people posting Lavaria pics
>have 2 $5 Target giftcards
>build was meh and she's ok
>decide to change her hair
>try on a few and then THIS
Granny Monster I'd Like to Fuck
>now messaging gray hair ladies on a dating App
So I got the Wall-E set as a gift and it's the original model with the loose neck. Will Lego send me the parts for the fix and if so is it worth the trouble to get it from them?
Well, I finally have time to sit down and start building. Here's a closeup of Axel's body. The torso is a regular minifig torso glued inside of the bigger chest piece.
>The torso is a regular minifig torso glued inside of the bigger chest piece
> Poes X-Wing has two pilots despite it being clearly Poes
> Blue X-Wing that could be used by multiple pilots only has jacket Poe
> releasing the same 100$ set just recolored a year later like it´s a 20$ JSF
They didn´t really plan this out but I like this set more than the black one so it still works out.
>Poe's X-Wing had 717 pieces
>Resistance X-Wing has 442 pieces
>Isn't that the X-Wing that gets immediately blown up the instant it appears on screen?
The other X-Wing pilots fly the same color X-Wing in the big attack at Tacodrama, Poe Dameron's the only one with the Halloween X-Wing IIRC
That thing will probably have that huge gun that lowers from the bottom...
But where the fuck is pic related. Every store only has the barely-in-the-movie snowspeeder.
Local stores only have Poe's stupid X-wing and Shuttle Tydiriums here. Not that the Tydirium is bad, I love it, probably one of the best lego sets in years, but I don't need more than one. We had some 2016 sets for a while but they're all gone now. Haven't even seen Battle at Takodana and the Rebel troop transport anywhere.
Anyone here have the Lego Star Wars Venator or Assault Frigate or whatever they called it? I'm pretty interested in it, although from what little I've seen of it it doesn't really look all that great, especially when compared to the recent star destroyer.
Probably when Episode 8 or 9 come out.
I'm hoping for a Darth Bane promo polybag.
>It has come to my attention that one of you...
>Is a bootleg!
>Helmets off for a facial inspection! Front and back!
What ever happened to the the anon who was making the lego Metal Gears?
Last I saw he had the torso and the head of Sahelanthropus, but was having difficulty with it. Did it ever get finished?
I think CW is done for (possibly) ever. It's not hard to make new sets based off movies that are embedded in the public consciousness, but to do ones on a spin-off TV show requires that show be on the air.
They did a Clone Wars set last year, but they made it normal style.
Hell yes. All four(!) of them have their own pros and cons, and can be found for a fair (not always "good," but "fair") price on BrickLink. Only caveat is try to get the new TFA version on a sale. It's worth no more than $140 IMO.
Oh yeah, that's right. Still, that makes me even more confused. Why make a single set from a series that has been off the air for 10 years? I feel like they just did it to shut up everyone who's been whining for an Azure Angel.
Well, it's a nice shit that (as far as I know) hadn't been done before. Personally I wish they would do more of that instead of rereleasing the same handful of ships over and over again.
>everyone excited for Nexo Knights
>I'm just waiting for new Ninjago sets
>no one hyped for best waifu of 2016
Ninjago's big builds like the Temple of Airjitsu look cool as hell, but I'm not really interested in any of the smaller ones or the character designs. Nexo Knights looks cool as fuck though. All that translucent armor, with all that blue and trans-orange. And the monsters look nifty as hell.
A few more Star Wars leaks.
I also like seeing new ships, but I understand the point of making new versions of older sets--to get the money of the more casual audience (read: children) who have no access to the aftermarket and old sets like adults do.
It's a TIE Advanced. TIE Bomber has two pods.
The last TIE Bomber set was also the first TIE Bomber set, in 2003. I'm almost certain it's become a running joke to see how long we can go without a new one.
Yeah, same. I was looking at all the buildings and environment builds for ninjago recently and thinking they look cool as fuck.
But Nexo's little sets are super fun. Transforming Mecha Horse, King's Mech, and Lava Smasher are based.
It's too early for Rogue One, the TFA sets didn't leak until months from now. These are summer sets. Just2Good is saying on Eurobricks they're from some new spinofff thing ala Yoda Chronicles.
>order set on the 5th
>sits in a warehouse ALL WEEK
>finally ships on the 8th
This thing won't realistically start moving until tomorrow, at which point it's nearly a week since I ordered it.
International drone deliveries cannot happen too soon.
So I built this ship and it's a really nice pirate ship, with a lot of interesting details.
What bothers me is the colour of the figures. Aren't they supposed to be yellow, not pink-ish? Doesn't look like Lego to me.
>tfw you live a state away from the warehouse
Oh fuck, underrated post.
>release new monkey
>In era of printed eyes it still has molded holes
YES I'M MAD
I thought Rogue One was coming out in September or something so I had to double check, but nope it comes out on my birthday. Thanks Disney.
How do you deal with builder's block? I'm sitting here staring at a pile of pieces and can't get anything to come together...
I've been trying to figure out this thing in LDD but I suck at it, maybe one of you master builders can manage where I failed.
Start off making one that doesn't transform and slowly make it more complex.
Another way you could learn to make it would be to try and do individual parts then use what you learnt from trying to do each bit individually to make the whole thing. e.g. legs/cockpit seperate
Anyone in here run a bricklink store? Is it as much of a pain in the ass as I'm imagining it is?
It´s Vos and Dengar but the words below Dengar are too long, I think he is just a stand-in for a made up character like the green/white bounty hunter or blue Stormtrooper from 2011.
> More Yoda Chronicles mishmash shit with no new parts or recolors
I would rather have more straight up re-releases that bring nothing new to the table like the Spider-Droids than what´s essentially a Space Police/Mars Mission set with 33% mark-up and shittier figures.
Try to build something from a show or a movie.
So how do you feel about the term 'afol'?
I think it's an invention by losers who need terms to validate their own interests. I mean, the more involved lego stuff is just modeling using a toy system, really doesn't need a special label.
I don't tend to project all kinds of negative shit on words and think of it as a lifestyle. It's a perfectly viable term to use that's short and to the point and means exactly what it means.
An adult who likes and plays with lego and shit.
I've been slowly gathering Space Police III stuff and man, Jawson is one ugly motherfucker.
They're from the Ultimate Lavaria set which is worth getting, IMO, pic related.
Star Wars could have so many interesting, new releases if Lego would try.
> Coruscant Speeder Chase / Nightclub Chase / Dexters Diner
> Geonosian Arena with jedi, geonosians and/or creatures
> Sphatas / those giant laser turrets that wrecked a Trade Federation Ball, obviously down-sized
> The Clone Wars Super Tank from Geonosis arc
> Mandalorian Shuttle with Satine
> Republic Stun Tank v.s. Zillo Beast
> Trident Ship with Aqua Droids / Scuba Clones
> The Smugglers ship from TCW S3E5, looks so dope, picrelated
> Jedi Ambassador Shuttle
> Bigger Neimoidian Shuttle in tan
> Bail Organas Speeder (better than Anakins AOTC speeder) & 501st Legion clones killing that youngling
> Trandoshan Hover Pod
> That comfy snowy village with japanese trees and some Death Watch guys to burn it down
> Octuptarra Droid Walkers
> Crab Droids
> Mustafar playset
> Cloud City Playset
> Droid Control Ship in the 130$ style with Neimoidian Pilots
> Naboo Guard Speeder (the blue one that shot the AAT in Theed with red/brown helmeted guards)
> Theed playset with red printed security BDs, Padmé in red coat, actual Captain Panaka and Nute Gunray
> Gungan army, Kaadus and the big shield generator beasts
> other podracers than Anakins, maybe Ben Quadinaros for the interesting 4 engine style
> Some of the countless Naboo Yachts (even if it can´t be chrome, it could be ok)
And some normal re-designs & nitpicks for completions sake:
> AAT with correct proportions / updated 2009 version in tan
> Big MTT with correct shapes
> much smaller Vulture Droid in mostly darkblue with tiny sand blue accents
> Hailfire Droid that doesn´t look like shit
> Umbaran MHC Walker for at least 100$
> AT-DP with working leg articulation
> Improved ARC-170
> Improved Endor Bunker
> improved Y-Wing
> Bigger AT-AT
> Improved AT-ST
> updated Wookie vehicles from ROTS
> Mandalorian Police Speeder (basically Bad Cops Speeder but who cares)
> Jedi Starfighter AOTC
> Jango Fetts Slave One
I associate it a little with people that post on eurobricks and complain how NEXO KNIGHTS IS NOT A REAL CASTLE THEME WHY DOES LEGO KEEP PUTTING OUT THIS SHINY KIDDIE CRAP INSTEAD OF CATERING TO PROPER HISTORICAL THEMES ALL MY DREAMS HAVE BEEN CRUSHED
>Star Wars could have so many obscure, new releases that no one would want, if Lego would try.
Fixed that for you.
>Buy the Portal 2 Dimensions set for myself
>Boyfriend fucking loves Portal 2
>Insists on building the turret and companion cube himself with intense glee
He's been playing Dimensions with me a lot lately, I feel like if this had been a full sized set I'd have him hooked on this shit by now. Actual Portal kits when Lego.
>Comic Con exclusive
>Only 1500 in existence
This hurts me. Are there any decent Superman based sets to help me ease this pain?
Lex Luthor bot and Brainiacs ship are pretty good.
Normally comic con sets can at least be made thanks to other sets reusing the pieces and Bricklink but somehow Lego was able to do a production run of those green car roofs just for this things 1500 copies, weird.
What parts do you wish lego would make?
pic related, it's a 1x1 round tile with a clip.
"Help!" Cries the unlucky woman, after a sudden turn of events, she had found herself backed into an alleyway by an armed theif, cowarding at the sight of the glistening blade in his hands. "Just hand over the purse, doll. And the knife stays clean." Said the crook, He grinned a crooked grin under his mask, stepping closer and closer.
Who will save this pathetic citizen? It's your choice, LG! Simply "roll" along with the name of your favored superhero/heroine, or perhaps a series of events! The post with the highest last two digits will be played out!
is this an america only thing? haven't heard of it before. When i got the lego site for my region and add lavaria to my cart, nothing else appears in my cart.
made this little exo-suit just right now as a break from studying. I gave it the same colourscheme as the crabbot i posted earlier with a little lime and dark red.
>inb4 too grey autists start insulting me
The picture is my stuff, but the other anon was making Sally.
I haven't really made anything since I finished my Metal Gears.
Also you've got an old pic. Have my updated REX.
i like how the stumpy little legs turned out.
It has articulation in the knees, balljointed hips, hinge-swivel shoulders and balljointed wrists.
Fits a minifigure with hair and backpack or something.
The woman is actually a man with two hobbies: Dressing up as a woman and mixed martial arts. His name is Chad and he can bench press over 350 pounds.
Chad swiftly disarms the thug and proceeds to beat the ever-loving shit out of him.
Chad then straightens his wig, smooths his blouse and calmly walks back out of the alley, leaving the thug in a pool of his own blood and urine.
