Read the (unfinished) guide before asking questions:
If you're no stranger to Glyos, give the guide a read and let us know if you feel anything is missing so we can improve it.

Information and news in posts made for new threads needs to be as objective as possible.
You can shitpost all you want to when it doesn't concern the news and update posts at the beginning of each thread.
fucking lol is right, screw the 4H with their bullshit.
You did forget NiStuff Outlanders though. And I guess those shitty battlebeasts technically count.
I think for a line with a customer base this small it's stupid to have 10 different companies all with different websites pumping out sales 3-6 times a year with usually about a week's advance notice. It's so much to keep track of and takes the forward momentum out of each individual line for me- especially the more obviously "glyos" lines. What point is compatibility if I won't know for 6 months if a toy I can only buy for a few minutes to a few weeks will come out in matching colors with anything else? It's just fucking annoying at this point.
The company is awful, I'm very well aware of that, and I'm not denying it.
Regardless, if you're going to do something, then do it right or don't do it at all.
You and most of the rest of this general might not like 4H, but you are closing doors with your bias in the OP post which isn't cool.
>b-but they're a bad mean company with unfair prices >:(
Then whine about it in any other post that isn't the OP posts.
Then say no news instead of your subjective thoughts.
I suppose you're right, but both of those are sort of things that only people already entrenched in glyos will really be aware of. I'd really appreciate a more umbrella approach to things, especially with all the guys that are already friends.
At the very least it would be nice to see more concrete communication on plans for this stuff- I've passed on a few recent drops from various companies, and then a month or two or more later more of the sister companies put out compatible colors and I think "Well I would totally get some of this stuff if I had bought the first round of things..but now that's all sold out so fuck it all" and wind up passing on everything in a given color when, had the molds been timed together or at least revealed in a timely manner then I'd be making way more purchases than as of late.
Who fucking mods this board, one of the actual fucking members of the 4H? Ridiculous. Nice to see my post deleted that did nothing but state the facts- the 4H put out $100 fan clubs for powerlords, with(and I'm being VERY generous here) $50 worth of merc included and the promise of a discount with any PL releases for a year. They released 2 figures a couple of times over a course of 5 months and then did nothing afterwards nor have said a word on this. If you bought one of every figure released with the fanclub then you were scammed into paying more than the general anon who bought the figures without a "discount" fanclub membership.
Your post got deleted because you were flinging shit at another poster.
Hate on 4H all you want, they're terrible on all ends but flaming another collector just because you don't agree with them is retardation that should be kept in the TF general.
Well some of the companies work together, pretty much whatever Matt runs you can expect TGB to run. And the new guys at MWOTR have already said Goliath is coming in TGB December green while their test shots were in Rig Crew Brown. Ni runs every fucking color known to man. So basically its Kent and Spy Monkey who do whatever they want and refuse to do much to tie in
I replied to your post in the previous thread. It's not hard to keep up with all the lines because Matt posts on the main Glyos blog every time one of the sister companies has a release. So as long as you can put up with checking one web site (which isn't obscure or hard to find whatsoever for newcomers--it's the main site after all), you'll be fine.
This is all good info(no seriously, I appreciate it) but I wish this was actual public knowledge and not stuff that you gleamed off of a con conversation or skimming through every glyos related messageboard or website.
I maintain that they should just be releasing this stuff together/in quick succession so you could a) know what will actually be released and b) with enough foresight to plan on what you'd actually like to make/purchase. It's a building toyline for fucks sake, it makes it kind of difficult when they only ever run colors once in small numbers and fuck you this accessory pack which is vital to my enjoyment of this figure released 3 months later is now sold out.
Yeah, and Matt's pretty much confirmed that 4H is abandoning Glyos-compatible projects and the Mythic Warriors latest info. doesn't mention ANYTIHNG AT ALL about being Glyos-compatible or using Glyos joints.
People can post whatever they want here, and 4H can pretty much go suck it.
Then go start your own Glyos non-bashing 4H thread and have it to yourself. Those guys sure act like they don't care AT ALL about Glyos or their customers, so that's how I feel and how I assume they actually feel. If that's not how they feel then they should do a few things to indicate that. Otherwise, they can kiss my butt.
>It's not hard to keep up with all the lines because Matt posts on the main Glyos blog every time one of the sister companies has a release.
NOT TRUE!!! Matt has posted at least one drop from each sister company somewhere along the way, but he doesn't post every one...not even close...really a very small percentage. You can go back and look at the blog yourself and see.
All-gray Reydurran Pheyden & all-gray Tracker Pheyden
Note the slight color difference.
I swapped right legs between the two. The Tracker leg really stands out on Reydurran Pheyden
>Feb. will bring another "Knights Beetorian" and a couple of FX figures similar, but, not the same colorway (both pvc & paint) as Onell Design's recent "RedLaw" & "Gliporian." So 2-3 new figures in Feb.
>For 2015, I plan on doing only 2-3 (no more than 4) figures every other month.
FOR DOUBLE?? WHAT DO I DO?!
For serious.. all of these colorways kinda blow. but im super excited to see what i COULD get. .. but then ,, i could pay double for garbage...
(i bit for 2) if he had decent colors for the regular stock, and didnt have legacy and solaris in that picture i may have been able to resist.
I dunno about this callgrim stuff, looks like some guy just following in the footsteps of Ni and Kent. Little late on the red metallic too buddy LOL... maybe I'll get one to try it out while I wait for my powerlords.
>I dunno about this callgrim stuff, looks like some guy just following in the footsteps of Ni and Kent.
...trolling, or just spectacularly new to Glyos? Jesse is one of the earliest Glyos system collaborators, long before Ni and Kent came on the scene. I mean, I know Jesse has been sort of MIA lately, but damn, know your history.
Yeah, the prospect of the Callgrimizer is incredibly exciting, but then I realize that I am actually not attracted to like 70% of the colorways in the archive. Too much drab/realtype for me. So it's a pretty big dice roll...eh. I think I'll pass. I already have my glorious Solaris 'Grim, and I'll just buy Legacy, Eternal, and Trovic Hybrid on the aftermarket. I'll probably pay more for em, but at least I'll know what I'm getting.
>Too much drab/realtype for me
Has Callgrim ever released a two part color way figure that matches with things that have released? All of the colors seem to be standalone in their release with the exception of the single color releases/
See, that's the thing though. I already own most of the weird ones like Tera Mite and Fragrarian. What I mean is that the potential for me to get a Grim I don't own yet with colors I actually like is pretty low.
Was not expecting a Callgrim drop, how awesome. I went ahead and picked up a Standard 'grim. I do love the Order MKIII and the white/grey mixes are just okay. I was going to pick up the Standard 'grim and Standard Order, but $26 shipped for two figures made me drop the Order. Plus I never do much with my Callgrims because of how weird they are to stand and I'm not too huge on the mold overall.
But I'm excited they're back for a short time while they last.
Also everyone keep in mind Jesse's post says "For a short time, Callgrim is back"
>for a short time
Don't expect drops to regularly happen again.
>Don't expect drops to regularly happen again.
It's not like I was anyway. Jesse has been so sporadic with releases for a long time now, and now that he's putting more time into his printing company it's probably just going to get worse, not better.
Also, I'm not really a big fan of the Callgrim/Order look, but the Hollow and Caliber Dome configurations are fucking rad.
So I was dumb and decided to make all my molds one part molds for my figure. I learned a lot though. When my next batch of silicone comes in i will be doing two part molds. I am going to be sculpting the pelvis and hip connectors soon since the upper body is done
I think Matt's just letting the hardcore guys "get theirs" before mentioning it widely on the blog. Or, he's been busy with his own stuff and shipping product and just didn't get around to it. That's quite likely.
If you want a Standard 'Grim get him now because there are only 32 left.
There are still 95 Callgrimizers
I was too impulsive this last drop and this gold stuff doesn't realy do it for me. I like it on the DX kabuto, but eh...
Anyway, I'm selling this as a set at cost, not looking for profit, just my money back. If no one is interested here, I'll post it at October Toys.
- Argen Buildman
- Advanced Phaseon
- 2 x Phase Arms
- 2 x Swing Joints
Just got them today, unopened.
Redlaw Sarvos is amazing. It's like Henshin Cyborg and Sentai had an alien baby.
-elevator music at the beginning
-shitty elementary-tier chalkboard graphic slideshows
-dusty as fuck bugman next to bubblegum Ancient Astronaut (seriously, what the fuck?)
+pleasing camera quality & closeups
+part breakdown, brief history, various poses
+pleasant music for the rest of the vid
+not too long, not too short
+-voice is not good but tolerable
I look forward to more Glyos vids this guy release as long as he doesn't start namefagging here.
I am talking about a Sucklord thread that was made and was creating for discussing Sucklord products. The Sucklord glyos compatible head wasn't even mentioned in that thread, nor was anything glyos-related. What are you talking about?
Callgrim shipping notice!
That was almost Godbeast-level speed.
Considering TJ's doing this for his audience, who mostly know fuck all about Glyos, it was pretty well done.
I though it was odd to start with Outlanders instead of Onell proper, but whatever.
Also, A+ for not showing your self on camera, TJ.
Oh god 4H just announced their Ravens might have QC issues so "be careful" and a new drop of Power Lords is coming. So what bullshit no point but to ride off the coat tails of Doughty color will we get?
>4H just announced their Ravens might have QC issues so "be careful"
I feel bad for the guys who pitched in for the KS and are still waiting on their burds
>So what bullshit no point but to ride off the coat tails of Doughty color will we get?
Rig Crew brown and and the latest gold?
Ravens look cool but I'm glad I didn't help fund their Kikestarter and I refuse to ever give them another penny.
I'd like to finish my Infinity Editions of OSM, but I'll have to get those on the second hand market.
Also it's very common for several delays due to Chinese factory things and making sure the QC is up to par.
Look how the first Reaper Bones miniatures went.
And look how the Bones II are now, should have shipped in September and looks like we won't be getting them until January.
I'm fine with waiting a handful more months if it means I get exactly what I order when it comes to KS.
>Oh god 4H just announced their Ravens might have QC issues
You're either misinformed or blowing shit way out of proportion. Their email didn't say shit about QC issues. It merely said to apply heat when unsticking joints instead of forcing them. Which is common advice for ANY new toy.
Really? You don't need that advice for virtually any new toy. Does DC Direct, Diamond, Star Wars Black, TMNT come with that warning? Just because its "indie" does not excuse them, but we all know from their other larger figures that being fragile is expected.
"WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR SHIPMENT OF GOTHITROPOLIS: RAVENS FIGURES, PLEASE BE CAREFUL BENDING ANY OF THE FIGURE'S JOINTS FOR THE FIRST TIME - Before forcing any joint to bend for the first time, please use care and possibly even heat up the joint with a blow dryer for a few seconds (a quick dip in hot water also works). The warmth will loosen the joint which will allow the brand new factory fresh joint free movement. Failure to follow these directions could result in damage to your Gothitropolis: Ravens figures. If needed, re-heat any stiff joints until they reach the desired level of flexibility."
>Does DC Direct, Diamond, Star Wars Black, TMNT come with that warning
No toy does. Which is precisely why so many people end up forcing stuck joints and breaking them.
