Nothing. We have a general rule at the lgs: one person per commander. As soon as Locus God was spoiled, I claimed it. A few people were disappointed, but the guy who wanted to build Niv-Mizzet, but couldn't because I had it, was really excited. I'll probably play Locus for about two months before switching to something else and let someone else have a go.

Will daxos the returned ever become playable? How do you even ramp in wb?

This Hapatra list has been working pretty well for me, but there's still parts of the deck that feel clunky. For instance, should I cut out either the Protean Hulk or Necrotic Ooze combos? Maralen can kind of be used at the 75% level. She's less stable but more fun than Zombie Sidisi because as well as "Tutor Combo GG" she's also a rules-changer you can abuse in a control shell. She just REALLY needs to be psychotically well-defended because otherwise she is going to catch death well before you untap with her.

It's a pity she can't be in the command zone in blue-black becausei t would be really funny to abuse Phasing with her (Time and Tide on a stick?)

How do planeswalkers shift planes? Do they just vibrate themselves into another plane or do they have a portalgun type of weapon?

Part of my goal for the deck was to get cheap fliers out early game to keep a stream of card draw via Tymna's effect. The other part of the concept was to make an aristocrats style deck. At one point, I tried out Doomed Traveler with the idea that he can get in for attacks early, and if he's chumped and dies, the flying token will get in for attacks and help me draw cards the next turn. Doomed Traveler honestly overperformed in this function, and I later added Hangarback for the same reasons, albeit Hangarback has a stronger late game. It might sound strange on paper, but the strategy has worked pretty well in game.

The flavor and mechanics work, but it really doesn't embody the sense of power or fear that it deserves. It's a 6/6 for 6. The one card it was shown on could exile an enter board state. It should be a 7/7 or have trample AT THE LEAST so that it could exile things more reliably.

It should fit fine in the Kamigawa cube I built, as there is a supported 5-color theme for hondens and the legendary genju. But trading with one of the spirit dragons (who then give a dying benefit) will feel awful.

Which kind of deck would you prefer?

Yeah I'm not quite sure. My meta has been fairly weak in the past but people are starting to power up their decks. We've moved from a 70% meta to a 80% meta, basically, and you can no longer expect to fuck around doing nothing for the first 5-7 turns anymore. So I kinda want to build the toolbox deck simply because it does a better job at defending itself.

I also find it kind of satisfying to be constantly holding back and then when someone starts dropping some cancer shit, tutor up some answers for it and blow up some of their lands in the process, and then resume copying jens or whatever I do

This isn't my first deck either, it's me reworking an old deck to be more interesting. So far I have

I want to build a heroic combo deck that uses the en-kor to target my creatures infinitely many times. However, I don't know if I want to make it Boros or Jeskai.

If I make it Boros, I can use Anax and Cymede as my commander and overrun people more reliably.
However, if I make it Jeskai, I get access to Mindreaver and Sage of Hours as additional win conditions, and I get access to more card advantage to find an en-kor if I need to.

Is it worth losing Anax and Cymede for the ability to use blue?

I highly suggest running a comprehensive recursion package. Cards like Sun Titan ,Nim Deathmantle, Sword of Light and Shadow, Goblin Welder, Feldon of the Third Path, Loyal Retainers, Karmic Guide/Reveillark, Buried Ruin, Mistveil Plains, and Crucible of Worlds can really help you get extra value out of your fatties/utility creatures

More rocks, including possibly more expensive utility/rock combos like Commander's Sphere, Magnifying Glass, and Hedron Archive (as well as Big Rocks like Worn Powerstone and Thran Dynamo). IMO 10 ramp is industry standard to have a deck running well, If you really want to guarentee rocks out as a strategy you want more like 15. This is particularly critical for Boros (or, really, anything nongreen) since your other ramp options are weak.

I'd say 5 sounded a bit sparse for MLD but there just aren't that many MLD pieces so more would be asking a lot. That said, if you can fit it in, you might as well. You will also need more general wipes -- basically anything that doesn't hit your artifacts since you are reliant on having a rock advantage to actually profit from blowing up the world.

Once you've established dominance, there are two real routes to victory. If you're gumming everyone to death with a couple midrange dudes someone is going to re-establish and kick your ass, so you need to stop that from happening. Route 1 is to have something that's better than a couple of 4/x or 5/x beaters: Geometric damage, strong commander damage, or some ability to swarm explosivley. Route 2 is to do a little light stax work. You won't really be a stax deck but keeping everyone down with Trinisphere, Winter Orb, Smokestack, Thorn of Amethyst, Sphere of resistance, Thalia (And other hatebears)... anything that stops them from getting their groove back on. You can mix the two routes, of course, or you can go for the quick knockout or "hold them down and drool into their mouths until they drown". Any of those ways works.

Surveyors scope is a card that always looks like it should be sooo good, but I think its awful.

Even if you do get 3 untapped lands off of it, it means that everyone else was ahead of you for ages, and as a late game top deck it wasn't gas, it was just more ramp. Which is not where you want to be.

Early game it does fuck all, too. I really wish they had hit the mark on the card. If it didn't exile itself it might even be good in some sort of artifact stax deck that sacced its lands, but we don't even get that much.

I have to disagree with this shit. If you don't build super powered frog you are going to get face fucked and never have your commander out because I know I sure as fuck wouldn't let it sit out across the table from me. That means you can't do fun and spicy things like worm harvest or whatever, you have to do shit like strip mine + crucible, or dakmor salvage+horseshit.

If your playgroup lets gitrog sit out and value town the win for you, they are stupid. Nigga should have a target as big as kaalia, but he is much more competitive.

I tried to build him without infinte combos, and thats approximately what happened. Your turns take forever, constantly drawing/dredging. Having salvage in your hand means you get to essentially sift through your entire deck at end step (with a small degree of failure possible) so that shit takes forever. You also still stripmine/wasteland everyone out.

What are some safe ways to build around Damia, Sage of Stone? I don't want to load my deck with discard outlets because I know there are going to be games where I can't resolve him. So basically, what are some goodstuff cards that synergize with her very well? I'm also running reanimation so discarding my creatures is advantageous

I was thinking of just running maybe Forbid as my only counterspell and annoying people with it, but I don't know what else to do

Honestly I'd recommend just playing Tasigur. You can reduce his cost with Delve, he generates consistent card advantage, pitches reanimate targets, and you can even play him as Sultai politics by packing all the best answers and asking people for them to stop other players.

Don't kid yourself, U one was almost worst one for once, because it had shit synergy and shit cards mostly, especially valuewise.
Out of the box the W and R ones were gor once the best, although Daretti had like 60 lands in it.
That was also because the G and B weren't that great either, but at least they had some decent value cards in them, which were lacking in the U one, which was the reason why no one wanted the U one at first. Same with as the Derevi deck you could find discounted everywhere
