App backgrounds are so overvalued anyway, let me explain:

1/3 of the apps are garbage quality to begin with, so lets say out of 50 apps we now have 20, maybe a dozen of these will have schedules that line up, and from those 12 it's likely there will be only a few choices to form a party that is cohesive.

I was hoping to avoid that by putting a focus on team-support abilities. The kind of "Red Ranger" style where you may not be the most powerful fighter, but your friends always are.

So, that's why I loaded up on Silver Crane Heals, and Golden Lion buffs. And now that I've got Destruction suited up for having ranged option, upon leveling further spheres were gonna be support magic like Enhance.

Whether you should be insulted depends on what you asked for. If you made a standard game of "Alright, gritty fantasy adventures stopping evil!" and I showed up with Fairy Voltron, you are right, you should be offended and I should be ashamed of bringing it.

Interweave Composite Blast lets a pair of kineticists make a composite blast as early as level one. It's a very, VERY wordy feat, and kind of difficult to use properly (as you need to have two kineticists in the party and they need to pick elements that have composite blasts, which limits build options).

HOWEVER

Legendary Kineticists 2 brought us the Bestial Kineticist Animal Companion archetype. Essentially, your horse/dog/cat is now a kineticist and can shoot lasers out of its dick or whatever. Kineticists aren't a feat-heavy class, so they can afford to drop feats on Nature Soul, Animal Ally, Boon Companion, then Interweave Composite Blast. You give your animal companion that archetype, and now you don't have to worry about another player taking it.

The character starts their first turn by drawing their dwarven waraxe, immediately dedicating their focus to it, and then moving up to an enemy (possibly flying). They stow the waraxe, bring out greataxe #1, expend martial focus, and completely destroy an enemy with a Brutal Strike rapid assault. If both attacks hit, that is a whopping 65 damage (more with a blacksmith in the party), enough to take out higher-HP CR 5s or lower-HP CR 6s. (No, 5th-level characters reliably one-turn-killing CR 5s and 6s with zero resource expenditure is in no way normal.) Defensively, the character is a beast. They always end their turn with greataxe #2 active. They have 10 feet of fully threatening reach, 7 attacks of opportunity each round (9 with dedication to the Guardian sphere), damage reduction 4/bludgeoning, and bleed resistance 2. If they succeed on a saving throw against an enemy's effect, they roll twice and take the higher result on their next attack roll.

They can spend an attack of opportunity to make an attack roll to counter *any* attack against them (even from spells and massive weapons), and if faced with anything that prompts a Reflex save (e.g. a dragon's breath), they can spend an attack of opportunity to make an attack roll against that and gain evasion.

The character has a 15-point delayed damage pool, and delays just about every hostile debuff possible on them by one round. They can use the Punishment legendary talent to offload any delayed damage and debuffs onto an enemy (if they fail a saving throw), which means that if an enemy has the gall to throw a hold person at the armiger, the armiger could delay the paralysis and then whack the enemy to transfer said paralysis. Very nasty.

While this is an interesting playstyle, I worry that the damage output is rather overwhelming by 5th-level standards, especially since this does not even account for a party blacksmith. What does everyone think of this build's balance point?

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, all you have to do to "fix" the usefulness of martials is make them more anime inherently.
