Assume everything else in Golarion is the same. I'm still in the process of scrubbing the setting document for mention of the homebrew campaign "Katapesh" used to be a part of.

The VMC stays--just pick something that's not too complicated if it worries you.

There are parts of the campaign's early stages that will go unmodified because they'd be annoying or difficult even for a strong party.

Others will be changed to account for the increased power level. Or just because there needs to be something more interesting going on.

I usually check in about once a month to post any new stuff and look for input. I'll be running two tables, one on giant in the playground that I think /pfg/ would be willing to go out for (the other will be on paizo and I know most folks here would rather not post there). I've got a loose concept and a name for a campaign, but I'm honestly much better at technical writing than adventure writing so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it done in a timely manner.

The primary focus should be to make a character that is as close as possible to a hunter in both fluff and mechanics. Anything that furthers that is welcome. I'm also willing to work with people along the way to help make sure submissions aren't DOA.

Depends on the level. Low level summons are always great for utility and during combat they're nice to have as an extra body on the ground, but in combat will get one-shot almost every time. Higher level summons will put the fear of God into whatever you're fighting, however.

It's not so much that I was looking for help as that I'm not so full of myself as to think that I couldn't get a cool idea that would improve my game from talking to somebody planning to run a similar one.

My campaign is very much NOT literally Bloodborne: the Campaign, I just choose to draw on similar themes and motifs as Bloodborne (including blood as a medium for power but also a corrupting influence, eldritch and/or mutated foes, a generally grim tone, a deluded and insane cult, and the moon being host to a pivotal danger). Although, they say no campaign plan survives contact with the PCs, and whether I've actually done a good job staying true to those influences is another question. I don't feel right calling it a Bloodborne campaign but I am definitely invested in it and the narrative that's being worked out. I hope my players are too.

There are a few blatant nods, such as expies of Eileen the Crow and the Plain Doll, but none of my players have played Bloodborne so they won't notice them.

So I want to play a fighter for Legacy of Fire, should I bite the bullet and be an initiating fighter?

Also what's the best VMC for skill utility? Bard seems up there, but inquisitor does a bit of it as well.

Well, I think that if you take away the setting specific stuff, Bloodborne is just a clean gothic horror game. I think the most difficult thing to recreate is the isolation, but it can be done as long as you're fostering an us v them mindset within the party.

My gm has decided that guns are too much for bonded item, without spending 50% of the cost of the weapon. Which means I will need to swap to a different ranged weapon.

Well, the party definitely has a clear understanding of who their enemy is by now, but there's not much of a sense of isolation. Not yet, anyway. Too many friendlies and villages for them to feel alone and outnumbered. But everything the party has done, is doing, and will be doing for a while is just a lead up to the real show. That's why I'm so desperate to keep this campaign going, a motivation I think I lacked with my last campaign. When shit hits the fan and literal Armegeddon is unleashed on Golarion, I can make the sudden change in tone and atmosphere really hit home. That's the plan, anyway.

Bard is, hands-down, the best for skills/utility. I believe one of the most "tier 3" builds you can get for a Fighter is something like... So for an Unchained Thug focused on intimidating, how "worth it" would a three level dip in Antipaladin and/or a one level dip in Scaled Fist Monk be? The former's mostly to get CHA to saves and that handy Aura of Cowardice, while the latter gives Improved Unarmed Strike (useful for dealing lethal and non-lethal alike for feats such as Enforcer), CHA to AC (provided I'm not wearing any armor at least), and Flurry of Blows (how does that work with Enforcer/Hurtful by the way?).

I have put together myriad damage dealers - some were straightforward, some were completely nonstandard uses of obscure combinations to make things that by all measures should have sucked quite good...

But the destruction sphere just can't do good damage. Not without some serious spellpoint usage anyways.
