Alalda, who's family had perished, was rescued by a Beautarian fighter as the city fell. She was just a small orphan girl and nobody knew who her family was, so she was named Firemourn after the loss of the city and so many in it. She was taught to ride, shoot and fight by Princess Kayla's bodyguards. Once it was discovered that Alalda had strong magical potential, she was set on the path of becoming a battlemage. Her supreme beauty has led many suitors her way, but her devotion to the purging of all detritus has caused her to reject all approaches.

Alalda specializes in healing magic and protection magic, but her hatred for detritus has given her the power to unleash powerful holy flames upon the twisted, perverse creatures. From atop her flying mount she scans for where her healing and wards are needed and swoops down to provide aid. In the meantime, she casts light spells and snipes at detritus with her musket from the air. When the fighting gets tough, she's also able to smite enemies up close and cut through the monsters with her blades.

I don't take well to this new universe at first, the prospect of eternity stuck aboard a ship in a world where Humans are corralled by AI outweighs the idea of immortality and space travel. A lot of the excitement in traveling to alien worlds is lost when you can't actually land there, you know?

It took a long time to warm up to Bastille (good name for a prison/fortress ship) and I think a small part of me will always resent her for kidnaping me from my home. I know she feels guilty about it but it's not like she can do anything about it, even if she wanted.

We have eternity together, it'll work out one way or another.

Diplomacy, since it's super fucking useful.
Business Management because, let's be real here, we're going to want money. And assets that pay you are the best assets, so it's best to maximize those.

Advanced:
Escape, because we're all escaped criminals.
Languages and Politics, because we're going to have to deal with a variety of people - and if everything goes well enough, I may even set up my own polity. The galaxy is apparently ripe for that sort of thing, after all.
Disguise because I'm a persona non grata, and it's going to be necessary to do a lot of business and put my social skills to good use.
Navigation, since as the boss that may be my day to day job as well as anyone else's, and
Small arms, because realistically chances are good we're gonna see some fights when shit goes south.

Basic:
Charm seems handy.
Bluffing and chameleon seem like subsets of disguise, but they're useful in their own rights.
Durability is a good thing to have.
Survival may be what we need for a while when laying low.
Science is something every leader should be skilled in.
Seduction seems useful, and fits my background.
Small unit tactics and strategy are pretty necessary for a leader, even if I'm not going the war crimes route.

Psychic powers seem super useful, and also unduplicable.
Advanced Ship, because it's both my home and my main tool in making money, at least to start. And it's the only thing besides my body that I should never lose.
Storied Past, because mechanically I think it should be that way, and Augmented, because those options are nice.

Compulsion seems appropriate to my background as well.
Public Enemy is actually kind of nice, it shows they care about me after all~

NGBR seems like a great combat weapon, with the Hydra 2120 as a useful sidearm.
Regulator armor is good for someone who, like me, is going to be in a variety of situations.

The guidebook seems very important.
An ocular implant and neural enhancer should prove substantial boons as well. Skeletal reinforcement is nice, and a dermal transplant should help when I'm pretending not to be me, but unexpectedly encounter a combat situation. The cosmetic bit is necessary, to make it seem as though I'm not augmented at all. Would fuck up my disguises otherwise.

Supplies and weaponry are pretty much a given. Gold is a good starter, we can get things sorted out nicely and get some more long-term assets going. The guidebook should make fencing easy.

For ship type, the Unknown is obvious. Sure, it has a big drawback, but that's a problem that we can solve with time.
Cloaking is pretty necessary considering I'm on the run.
The AI should allow me to fully take advantage of the ship's systems once I've got them figured out, and hopefully smooth out the learning curve a bit.
Sickbay is necessary to avoid significant losses.
Sensors are entirely necessary since avoiding the fuzz is part of this game.
And hydroponics should let us go dark for a while and survive, and generate some extra income while when we don't need to go dark.

Melanie Krauss seems like a good enemy to have. If she plays by the book, that means she's predicable.
Someone polite like Poppy Appleby also seems like a worthy opponent.

Crew... I don't like companion parts of CYOAs, especially when they're like this and the only real big of knowledge you get is a meaningless name and image. Although on close examination, it seems they're organized by type, so that's something.

Mary Palmer seems like an appropriate engineer. It's up to her, first of all, to figure out what the hell is up with our ship. Engines are the first priority, followed by guns. Then they comfort stuff. That's assuming we've got the add-ons figured out, otherwise cloaking comes after engines, and hydroponics comes before comfort. Medbay comes hopefully before we need it.

Kazuo Yano seems like the best doctor available. Heywood is also good, but he's apparently liable to die soon enough himself.

You Jeong seems like the best pilot. Hopefully she doesn't mind setting her vendetta aside until we build up a big enough powerbase to win a war like that easily.

Jesse Poole is in charge of the hydroponics lab, and he can have dominion over any uninhabited planets we come to possess.

Erlea Barrios seems like the only chaplain on offer, and her views suit me well enough.

Sila Demir's procurement abilities seem like they'd come in very handy.

There's a slot left, so I guess Amanda Fox could be a useful sword.

And... that's it. I come from a corporate background but had no real regard for laws, and had some particular tastes, some of which are also illegal. Luckily, my tongue is fucking sterling and I'm decent in a few other respects, so I organized a breakout and we took this crazy fucking advanced ship. Oh, and I'm a cyber-psychic. So now I've got a squad of dedicated individuals who don't let regulations get in the way of their goals, and we're set to bounce about the independent systems (or go further afield if needed) getting rich. There are two women after me, one to bring me in for breaking out and one to recover my ship, but I'm going to capture and rape them both. Not for me, you understand, but because they're enemies. Once that's dealt with, well, hopefully we'll have some illicit assets set up. Might be worth a foray out beyond settled space to set up some planets growing drugs. If Dr. Poole (because I can hand out doctorates if I want) can get the ecology going right, we won't even need plantations. Then we'll set up some planets for people to live, and take over a few planets with assholish governments. Ms. Fox is in charge of insurgency, but of course I'll supply her with plenty of funding and weapons. Once successful, Dr. Poole and I can work out the details for some general life improvements, and ecumenical matriarch Barrios can ensure that public morals are up to par. Hopefully her ministrations will lead to some suitable outlets for my own passions as well. Meanwhile, of course, we'll build up infrastructure and wealth until we become a reasonably major player in the area. When the time is right, we'll deal with Ms. Jeong's grudge, and her cause will give us the legitimacy we need to get a wider government going.

By the time I pass away, my legacy will be utopia.
