You forgot to link the last thread.
Oh well.

Jumpers!
How many of you do research for your chains?
As in let's say you pick up a perk for survival skills: do you actually look up survival skills that would be related to your starting location?
If you've picked up a mundane crafting skill do you research how the items were actually made?

Do you just skim wikipedia and youtube or other sources?

I do. I do to the point that I completely changed my plot after research in how flares were made.

I vote we start an ACTUAL new thread so we don't have to deal with a shitposter who intentionally fucks up the OP like the general does.

Joho, DnD has a summoner class just like this I think, green lantern constructs, creation from anima, I think maybe bleach as a sword ability too.

I vote we act like adults and ignore it and ignore children who complain about such a minor thing.

What makes being a Forgotten Realms deity a trap?
>>
>>52047992
I wasn't aware adults like to just lie back and let people shit their things up instead of complaining. Are you the kind of guy who won't return a burger that ends up covered in condiments you asked them not to include?
>>
>>52048016
Gods need worship badly, or they go poof.
>>
>>52048016
The jump says you get stuck in Forgotten realms if you have a divinjty over 0, which is not actually a trap.

You can give diviny away as a god to get back down to 0 then carry on. I gave mine to a bunch of animals.

It's usually more research about the setting and powers than mundane stuff, though I plunged into medieval weaponry and historical dueling when I made my Dark Souls 3 build.

>>52048022
Contrarily, it seems that yours are the jimmies which are rustled.

Going back through some of the older jumps (after reading through stargate) I kind of wish that 80s action hero had a Charles Bronson origin.

>Chart doesn't include sabers which lasted far longer than faggot swords aka rapiers did.
>>
>>52048045
Is that actually a thing in FR? I've looked through Deities and Demigods and there's nothing that stands out as 'needing worship or cease.' It's more that the god loses power.

>>52048056
That was written out, yeah. So Dragon Ascendent doesn't keep you there either.
>>
>>52048016
Because the Setting's Over God decided that the other Gods need to be restricted, he made it so that they would disappear if they were not worshiped enough.

Not sure if you would carry that with you post jump but it is best not to take any chances with curses designed by the top God of a D&D setting.
>>
>>52048118
Is that true regarding divine rank 0, who are explicitly expected to have few if any worshippers?

So I have been reading through Overlord again, and was interested in asking in case anybody here knows the answer; is it possible to train people in class levels based on the YGGDRASIL system? Could I get people like Gazef and Climb up to level 100, and could I take someone from a future jump and teach them in such a way so that they can start to acquire levels of their own?

Gazef and Climb should be possible, as Ainz teaches Hamusuke several abilities in the series and he was a native. However, I'm not sure that teaching people outside of that jump would be possible, or at least you wouldn't be able to train up their levels without a power granting ability or something
>>

That sounds like a really fucking terrible idea. Why would you hand over literal godlike power to bitchy teenagers? The FR gods are basically all either edgy teens or spoiled children as it is.
>>
>>52048429
The canon Shepard is male, and there isn't really room for interpretation. He could be Paragon or Renegade depending on your actions in the jump, however, but Paragon is also canon.

Kind of, but it's weird because I was a bookworm back in the day, so a lot of things I already have an idea of how it works and then I nod and move on...then ten minutes later I've got like fifteen tabs open on the setting, characters of note, key events, and one or two points of random interest. I stick with the fictional side of things because if I go full on, "All the Research" I would never get anywhere.

Every so often though, I do find myself skimming over the general notes of what I should expect in a certain time period IF it's realistic enough.

A recent example of this would be my jump into Otoyomegatari. It started on Thursday, when I had an idea for my Jumper's Origin, next thing I knew I was researching the history of trading routes; 19th Century USA, Europe, India, Japan, China, and Russia; guns-then I had to stop myself there because I had commissions to deal with. So, I kinda go crazy with it.

>>52048242
Introduced the galaxy to Fog Fleet starships wielding technological Belkan and Mid-Childan Magic after taking over the Shadow Broker's network. Ever seen Reapers flipping the metaphorical table and RAEGing out? I have. And it was delicious.

Oh and made sure that there was a Mental Model on each of the Arcs before they left so that they could assist with the Andromeda Initiative.

And with their own divine ranks they can do... fuck all to change the situation with the gods. Because Ao says so.

That's when they'll use their newfound divinity to take out their new levels of frustration on mortals or do whatever. Acting just like the other FR gods, edgy teens and spoiled children.
>>
>>52048532
They have belly buttons, which implies they have umbelical cords, which implies they have wombs, which... you see where I'm going with this. They also have breasts, and probably nipples. Actual genitals wouldn't be unreasonable.

Pretty sure they do? Melding is considered more intimate than sex, I think. Plus they need a way to actually, y'know, pop the babby Asari out.

Though there's a that fan theory that Asari actually look completely inhuman and are passively brainwashing all races to think they look like blue skinned female versions of their own species. But I don't personally buy that (or particularly care of it's true!)

Hamsuke trained day in & day out, managing to edge out maybe a level or two in a warrior class. Enough to allow her to wear armor. However that being said she is a monster and was already a powerful creature in New World being around level 30ish.

Now there does seem to be a hard limit on classes people can gain. Like Climb was able to level up by getting scared to near-death by Sebas (on request). Yet Climb & Brain seem to have a talent for that stuff. Even then they are just mortal humans, so they can only get so far.

I think the most powerful person who was born in the New World is the Half-Elf girl. Her father could be a player and is pretty powerful himself. Her mother was also powerful, about level 30ish probably given that Clementine was around that level.

If you kill a god in Greek Myth, do you take up their mantle?
>>
>>52049723
Has that ever happened in Greek mythology? Actually, has any Greek god actually died?
>>
>>52049796
Some of the Titans died, yes.
>>
>>52049723
In the sense that if you kill a bandit leader you can become the new bandit leader, sure. You don't actually get any powers for it. And the bandits will absolutely decide to just fucking murder your ass if they don't like you enough.
>>
>>52049796
That is actually how the gods came about in greek myth, they kill their parents and take their place. Or they imprison them.
>>
Honestly, this community would be a lot better off without Red.
>>
>>52049799
>>52049818
Titans yes, but did any of the gods themselves die? Like, the closest Zeus came to death (that I'm aware of) was when he fought Typhon, but that ended in Typhon getting his ass handed to him
>>
>>52049796
>>52049858
I'm not sure that Greek Gods can even die. Demigods certainly can, though.
>>
>>52049858
Does it even matter? The Titans are literally the gods, but older. They're the same type of being.
>>
>>52049887
I'm asking because the question was about killing a god and taking their mantle, and I wasn't sure if this is something that actually happened in myth. If it did, though, I would put money on Ares being the one to go out.
>>
>>52049919
Don't think a mantle can be taken, but just killing them should be possible.
>>
>>52049396
Really depends on how good you are at following Ao's rules. Ao is just trying to keep his shitty system filled with entitled children running. If you're actually helping make that happen, he'd probably give you a lot more leniency.
Especially if your "stealing worshippers" was literally just because you were a better/more popular god.

More likely what would happen is the other gods would devolve into petty infighting and tenuous alliances as they tried to oust you themselves, because Ao ain't gonna give a shit.

Also fun fact: Cyric, the god of lies and a bunch of other mantles that he just straight up stole from other gods, literally made a book that mind controlled people into worshipping him over any other god. He later read it himself and went insane. And Ao was totally okay with that existing, and he's been totally okay with Cyric existing, whose entire divinity has been nothing but stealing from the other gods and stabbing them in the kidneys. Nobody likes Cyric.

Ao don't give a fuck unless it's broken. He is the chainsmoking landlord in charge of FR.

He'd probably be okay with a super Corgi god. It'd be a nice change from his usual company.
>>
So, for jumpers who didn't choose to be a servant, who did you summon and why? Did you two hit it off? Any shenanigans?
>>
>>52049919
Zeus killed Asclepius and nature worship phasing out killed Pan. Though taking their mantle seems nonsencisal, desu, as they embody them. This isn't D&D or Elderscrolls that screw with mortals somehow "mantling" the gods. If anything, it's not a property inherent to the gods, though maybe something like that Sidereals Charm could do it.

Also, Hephaestus was lame and disfigured, so they can at least be maimed.
>>
>>52047890
I asked for the best way to imitate the mangekyo powers, and I got katesomething hitman reborn as the response.

Night flames was also kamui, and mist is good for the other genjutsu ones as well.

Also, my class choices are limited since I don't want to fuck up canon TOO much.
>>
>>52049991
He apparently does care if all the gods get together and whine about something, though, as they've used Ao multiple times to force the status quo to remain the same through whining.
>>
>>52049371
The funny thing is that, while it doesn't come through in the anime, in the light novel Ichika it's implied that agrees completely. He's actually rather disturbed by how thirsty the girls are, and it's suggested that him being so boring isn't just him being a generic harem light novel protagonist, but a passive-aggressive attempt to get the girls to leave him alone. "I have made myself as completely uninteresting as a romantic partner possible, and they somehow still want me? Fuck! Why can't I just man up enough to tell them I'm not interested?"
>>
>>52049858

Ao is very handsoff. He doesn't give a single fuck what the gods do, just when crap goes on too long does he put his foot down. Times Of Trouble was because Ao finally got fed up with the gods being rulers instead of shepards. So he forced all the gods to be mortal for a time. When they became gods again, they were shackled to followers.

Gods can do shit to each other, so long they don't screw up the entire system. Mystral getting killed twice? He doesn't care. So long that role gets filled sooner or later.

And I'm thinking a female Courier from Fallout, a male Sole Survivor, a male Imperial for the Dragonborn, and I'm not sure if there are any other PCs to pick.

I know, I was just talking canonically.
It's kind of shitty to be a Titan or God in Greek Myth, though.

You gotta deal with all of these neurotic, homicidal, eternally horny beings who are as powerful– or even more powerful– than you.
And if they gang up on you, you might very well be forced to suffer for all eternity, like Cronus, Atlas, and Prometheus.
>>
>>52050684
Wasn't Prometheus eventually freed by Herakles?
>>
>>52050726
Yes. People tend to forget that bit. But it really doesn't make it any better. Being chained to a rock while an eagle eats your liver for a few thousand years is still a pretty shitty fate.

Cronus did nothing wrong.

It's easier if you think of Ao as what he really is. Which is a plot device.
He's basically there to make sure the setting doesn't break TOO badly to the point that the DM and PCs don't have anything to play around in, and occasionally stamp his foot down to facilitate a cosmological upset.
That's why he's aloof. Because if he were more active, his ridiculous level of plot power would very quickly make the setting "whatever Ao says".

Anyway, thinking of it like that... you basically have to ask yourself serious questions like, "Can the setting still work if I do <x>? Does this change a lot of things so it is unrecognizably FR? What happens after <y>?"
If you come up with answers like, "No," "Yes," and, "Everyone hops on Jumper's dick," Ao would probably have things to say about it.

If, on the other hand, your answers are more like, "Yes," "A little," and, "The gods are all pissed off because Ao got a puppy," the setting can probably tank that in terms of story.

>>52050353
Also? A reminder that during the Time of Troubles, Ao gave Helm the job of guarding the gates to heaven instead of depowering him like the other gods, just because Helm was so dependable.

Being dependable and trying to help Ao out counts for more than people give it credit for. As a jumper it's easy to want to go smashy smashy, but you can do so much more.
Ao has almost no one he can legit depend on. Just imagine what that's like, being the plot device no one wants to listen to?

1. Quite a bit of research. Generally I'll watch/play/read the property in its entirety if I can at all manage it.
2. I did in the beginning. For Pokemon I went and researched a lot of common camping and winter survival information. But now magic tends to let me hand-wave a lot of that.
3. I do. Watching people make chain mail was rather fun, though I get a lot more use out of jewelry skills.

It’s funny usually when we envision life among the stars we envision some romantic notion like Star Trek of a more perfect human society. What I found here was a tough hard slog among a divided humanity. I can say I was slightly proud to find that the division was at least along ideological lines instead of national or racial this times. It gives me some small hope that humanity can at least find valid reasons to disagree with each other.

The planet itself was… less than hospitable, it didn’t even have a breathable atmosphere. The alien life was psychic and could paralyze you then crawl in to your head killing you like something out of a horror movie.

My faction was focused upon technological advancement at any cost. I was not fond of the fact they seemed uninterested in ethics. I know that road usually doesn’t lead anywhere good but I hoped that I could show them that it was possible to be an ethical and successful scientist.

Yet again I found myself in a place where I could have just opened my warehouse and granted the people I was with success and prosperity. Sadly I was sure that would only lead to ruin in the long run. So I began laying the inroads for a better scientific society. I tried to foster an environment where we traded ideas and technologies to help the better factions and tried to mitigate the influence of the warlike Spartans.

I tried to leave breadcrumbs for my fellow researchers to discover the wonders I was holding back for them hopefully giving society time to ready itself.

(to be continued)
>>
>>52051375
For better or worse we became a technological juggernaut. We had murderbots and mecha to defend us, we could create facilities out of pure energy almost instantly do to Supreme Command tech.

Also Arcuied helped the stepdaughters of Gaia get in touch with the soul of the planet. It wasn’t too happy with humanity in general but they managed to calm it down a bit and give humanity a chance.

I managed to get the University to use mostly green tech (because we could do it without efficiency loss) however we had to screw Morgan Industries under. I feel a little bad but we worked to contain them to a small area which they polluted so badly it became unlivable and we wound up with refugees.

Eventually Prokhor Zakharov was declared supreme planetary ruler due mostly to my efforts; for better or worse.

For actually lifting stuff probably something like Hercules can throw around entire trucks while Thor does stuff in the range of an average car. However Hercules also gives you some powers for using your strength in weird and mildly illogical ways. Terrain in general resapes easily for his scions, and it frequently ends up looking natural despite the fact that you just punched a river so hard it now flows down a different route. In addition to some berserking that makes you even stronger. Thor has a lot of other powers due to being a fairly broadly powerful god, but lacks Hercules' focus on strength over all else.

The Great Game, also called Xorvintaal, is a game played strictly between dragons (Taaldarax), their head servants (Lovac), and their assorted other servants (Dokaal). It's similar to chess, but played on an absolutely massive scale and played with people, items, treasure, magic, and hundreds of rules. (Most of which are never fully defined for players, but that's because PCs weren't supposed to be Taaldarax, only Dokaals.)

The most important rule is that all Dragons who want to be Taaldarax must forsake their magical abilities. Totally. And not just swear off them either, like rip them up from the roots, never to be used again.

Other rules include, Taaldarax may not act against one another directly, only through Dokaal. In rare situations, a Lovac may come directly into play, but they are generally meant to be an intermediary, so the Taaldarax themselves is never seen.

While combat between participants is not expressly forbidden, a challenge for combat must be issued and both players agree. This is extremely rare because the Lovacs and ALL Dokaals from both sides MUST join in the combat as well. The rules are very clear on this. And considering the number of Dokaals each side usually has, you're looking at a a battle on the scale of two entire nations going to war. You know, if each nation consisted entirely of adventurers, wizards, and tribes of magical creatures of all stripes.

Things tend to get REALLY out of hand when that happens.

Anyways. Points are scored based on conquest or killing opponents, although points are also awarded by displaying grant acts of subterfuge, daring, or renown. Points in the game are used to determine the pecking order (read: High Score Board) of the Dragons.

Unless this comes with a restoration of magical power or is an alternate route to divinity ala the Dragon Ascendant - their status would last precisely fifteen minutes before they were murderfucked by a dragon that didn't give up its magic.

It's actually quite hard to justify how any dragon could gain the extensive array of personal magical items required to survive being a dragon without spellcasting. Though perhaps the risk is lessened by them being considered something of a non-threat by real dragons.

I imagine the boredom of being near immortal would eventually lead an entity to trying all manner of various entertainments. There's also the whole, "I can legally murder my enemies, add their horde to my own, and eventually become Emperor of all Dragons."

You know, that and raw Ego, the likes of which is not seen outside Olympian Gods. Dragons do a lot of things just to lord them over other Dragons.

>>52052069
I'm just explaining the rules of the game. No need to react like I just offered to shoot your puppy and kick you in the nuts.

>>52052095
It is hinted that Divinity is part of the whole, Emperor of all Dragons deal, but like I said, a lot of it was left vague. DMs were expected to invent some of the rules to fit the situation they wanted to put the players in. There was also a whole template that went with those who agreed to play the game. But my google-fu can't seem to location it.

I would assume that many Dragons would enter into the Great Game sometime after having already accumulated a large wealth of magical items for personal use. There's nothing that says the participant Dragons can't /use/ magical items, just not their own personal spellcasting abilities.

Question, how does the Annoying Twin work with the Shadow of the Night Fury drawback? Is his power also capped like yours is, so unless you make Hiccup have more than 10% of your total power you and he seems just as strong in jump? Or is he unaffected, and he seems like the more powerful twin unless you gain at least 11% of your power back?

If you are a dragon does the twin also start as a dragon or human?

Or are there things fanwank stuff?

The twin starts out with all your abilities at 10% of your level, but this only a one off, right? He does not auto gain any new abilities you gain in later jumps at 10%, and abilities that can normally be improved/trained over time like learned wizardry or Aura can still be improved, right?
>>

Those are some nice abilities but not enough to give up spell casting, might be able to grant yourself and others those kinds of powers with Epic Magic.

Then this must mean being king of dragons gives off SOMETHING that a dragon would want to risk their spellcasting for. That and pride and bragging rights. That's often more than enough of a reason.

But if this became a jump this probably would be a weird sort of jump with gauntlet [for being king of dragons] option.

This I'd leave up to the Jumper, whichever makes your story better.

>If you are a dragon does the twin also start as a dragon or human?
Whatever you are they are.

>Or are there things fanwank stuff?
Nah these are good questions.

>The twin starts out with all your abilities at 10% of your level, but this only a one off, right? He does not auto gain any new abilities you gain in later jumps at 10%
With how it is currently the reason it is a undiscounted 400 CP is because the Annoying Twin continues to keep their pace with you.

>abilities that can normally be improved/trained over time like learned wizardry or Aura can still be improved, right?
Basically they are able to go beyond that 10% if they tried but they gain abilities/perks/etc at a tenth what you do. Things that can be trained up from there could easily match the perk you might have or even exceed it but some things just can't be trained.
>>
>>52052574
No, Kagetora's a supporting character from the series Psyren, for which we don't have a jump. You'd think Gaunlet would have made one, given how much he loves the man.
>>
>>52052490
What if it was only the innate dragon spellcasting that's lost? That only amounts 19 sorcerer levels after 2,400 years, might as well become a Wizard and take those bonuses.
>>
>>52052490
Well, that's your opinion. A great deal of Forgotten Realms Dragons think differently.

>>52052534
Honestly, I'm not even sure how a Great Game Jump would even work. It would take some serious thought to not be so free-form that people just hand-wave their way to victory, while also not being too railroading.

Probably would work best in Pseudo-Gauntlet form, yeah. I would say Jumpers should be given the ability to keep some of their non-magical abilities, but then you have to figure out where to draw the line in the sand and that gets muddy really quick.

All this talk about it makes me want to pick it up, but we're talking a LoT-scale undertaking and there's no way I'm picking up something that large with what life is handing me lately.
>>
>>52052574
As >>52052599 says Kagetora Hyodo is an awesome dude from Psyren, when I started to use his face... it was so that folks could get an idea of what my Jumper looked like. I continue to do so since I found so many pics of him through image searching (Sarcasm there, while Kagetora is awesome he's only drawn very rarely. The real reason I keep posting those pics is because I like them and I post others as well, just never quite as often.)
>>

Generic you are a D&D dragon jump when?
>>
>>52052653
What I like is that in a series where everyone else is using weird esoteric applications of psychic power, Kagetora just punches dudes. He reinforces his body with telekinesis, and then punches your head off. It's actually a really great way to stand out from the rest of the crowd.
>>
>>52052655
Not a drawback I don't think anon. Still insane to get in every jump ever since it's basically a free import.
>>
>>52052671
Not Telekinisis, boosting yourself physically with psychic powers is a separate thing from TK there.
>>
>>52052590
I don't think you should add super useful stuff like that on when that twin option already had to be discussed over what was an appropriate power level for it. Keep it as it says it is, not eternally updating and getting free stuff in every future jump.
>>
>>52052702
I know. But Rise is effectively self-telekinesis. You're using psychic energy to apply force to things, same basic principle.

Annoying Twin isn't a Drawback. No idea where you got that idea from.

>>52052671
He's a neat guy. Though his power is RISE which enhances you via super strength/durability/speed and such not Telekinesis. He is litterally just boosting normal stats and beating the shit out of psychic villians with his bare hands.

>>52052672
I could easily reword it if you think that having someone a tenth as strong as you following you around is going to be Jumpbreaking.

>>52052708
I think you are getting two conversations mixed up here. The first one is the conversations about Annoying Twin, which someone seems to think is a drawback. The second one, to which you are currently referenceing is the Drawback Shadow of the Night Fury, which during the inception of the Jump someone kindly told me wasn't clear enough on just what it lowered your power to.

>>52052727
Not exactly. Rise is what happens when you increase your bodies stats, effectively, and if you don't balance things right you'll end up fucking yourself pretty bad. Self-Telekinesis would actually be much safer, acting as telekenisis power armor in this case, but it would run into problems that Rise easily bypasses, such as how the super speed doesn't fuck you over via inertia because you also have super durability with Rise.

>>52052731
Agreed. It is kinda awesome.

>>52052784
Pic Related is Melchsee's Door at one point. Basically the MC has the power to control small Psychic tracking Orbs of Annihilation, they get larger and more versatile as time goes by, but because the Door is so fucking dangerous MC-Kun has to focus on precision, as he'd easily hit his friends with larger ones.
>>
>>52052655
>A drawback shouldn't be flat out beneficial like that
Not an drawback, a 400 CP purchase.
>>52052672
>Not a drawback I don't think anon. Still insane to get in every jump ever since it's basically a free import
Not really. Imports are insertions into the world. This is more like the clone yourself option, and we have a couple full power versions of them around, Teen Titans and Generic Creepypasta that get all your power and don't occupy a companion slot.

>>52052708
>I don't think you should add super useful stuff like that on when that twin option already had to be discussed over what was an appropriate power level for it
You seem to be stupid. You might want to get that looked at. He was saying how it currently works, not making a change.
>>
>>52052878
No, I'm not mixed up. I'm saying that the companion twin always being one tenth your power and getting any new powers you get, including any perks you buy, at a tenth automatically is too much. There's zero indication of that in the jump, you made no mention of it when this option was being discussed during the jumps making and it gives way too much. Especially since they can train up trainable stuff, meaning they only start with any powers you gain at a tenth.

Just keep it as it was before instead of adding on crazy functionality like you are now.
>>
>>52052900
>Shadow Clones are totally the same
God you're an idiot AND an asshole.
>>
>>52052900
Teen Titans and Generic Creepypasta aren't separate beings anon. It's like you're claiming shadow clones from Naruto or God Highschool are as problematic.
>>
>>52052878
>Though his power is RISE which enhances you via super strength/durability/speed and such not Telekinesis.
This is semantics. If someone hits you with a baseball bat and it does nothing, you can say durability, or using psionic powers to keep your cells/molecules from being moved/randomized by the force of the bat. AKA TK restricted to your own molecules.

He is saying using psionic to make yourself stringer/more durable without a physical change kind of has to be using Telekinetic reinforcement, no matter what it is called.
>>
>>52052878
>Reword it
I don't get this. I'm looking at the copy in the drive and it has nothing on them updating to keep at the same level in comparison to you. Wouldn't it be rewording it to fix this new version of the option?
>>
>>52052925
>Shadow Clones are totally the same
>>52052939
Hey there samefag! Not they are not. And the things I mentioned are not Shadow Clones either. Shadow clones share your power pool, these have their own powers independent of yours. You are just whining about "too powerful" power for no reason.

Think if it as the twin having a permanent power duplication ability that only works on the Jumper and has 10% efficiency. He can always be at least 10% as good as you are.

The conversation in question on how it should be treated is here http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/51670388/#51670926 for your perusal but I'll give the gist of it.

It was either too expensive or too cheap. If it were to remain at 400 CP then it would be 10% forever, if not lower it. I chose the later of those options, though as >>52052961 points out the wording can be read that they are only 10% of you as you are in the beginning of the HTTYD Jump, so I really don't even have to reword it. Which is nice because currently I'm hip deep in Kamigawa stuff.

>>52052953

Ah. Okay I'll just leave it at that then.
>>
>>52053027
I remember that conversation, I was in it. I also remember there not being, and can't find in that link, anything on it being 10% FOREVER. I responded with the assumption that you weren't buying them stuff from all your future jumps when he said all your jumps. As in "All your jumps that you have had until purchasing this companion option". It's nowhere near unambiguous that they constantly gain new things in all future jumps.

>>
>>52053136
>nowhere near unambiguous that they constantly gain new things in all future jumps
They are your conceptual annoying twin. Being 10% you is their thing. It is also less fucked up than only having it count past jumps, so where you place HTTYD in the order of your jump does not effect what you get out of it.

Because have jumped on saying that is bad when I mentioned something like that before.

60. Fallout
Location: New California Republic
Age: 23, Origin: Courier
Skill Tags: Medicine Speech Sneak
Perks: Pathfinder, Cult of Personality, Ninja, Kama Sutra Master
Items: Bag of Caps, Pet Dog
Drawbacks: Hated

I delivered the wrong mail, to the wrong man, at the wrong time. I delivered a bomb, to a war hero politician, days after delivering a speech against destroying government corruption. I'm not even sure whether or not my origin did it intentionally, but the first few weeks of the jump were spent faking my death at the hands of some berserk nationalists and having my companions smuggle me into the Mojave.

I first met the courier when I signed onto the Mojave Express under a new name. She wasn't what I was expecting, this little blonde with the big backpack full of foreign language dictionaries, but she was the one who got the platinum chip, and who told stories about that little community she discovered in the Great Divide. I ended up with a set of dice and a long wait to return to Goodsprings and help her get bloody revenge on the man who shot her. I was a consistent, if occasionally volatile ally with a mysterious background and a heavily armed caravan of people who wouldn't stay dead. After the events of the main game and DLC, I was promptly discovered as the "mad bomber" during the ceremony where the Courier got her Golden Branch. And she decided to help me with her political clout by using a modified laser pistol to fight our way out of there. It was payback for all the times I had to pull the spunky little lady out of legion controlled territory. We headed across said territory to escape, working to destabilize what we could the whole way through. Inciting rebellion, spreading rhetoric that probably got whole villages wiped out, and liberating every slave we could.

We found an interesting ally in the Lone Wanderer, having left the Capital Wasteland after the events of his own game. He was tall, and scarred, and needing someone to talk to.
>>
>>52053186
Yes, I'm aware. As I explained above, when I stopped responding in that conversation, it was under the impression that, since the companion description seemed to support it, you were only getting stuff from BEFORE this option. There was zero indication that it updated to give them all new powers and abilities you got in the future and it didn't seem to fit the setting. If I'd known what you were actually offering would work forever and give abilities from all future jumps, I would have protested further.

Mardukth, working on a Infernals build.
Can you switch out members of the Demonic Retinue? like it you summon a 1st circle you like and want to add it to the ranks, or some of the demons reproduce? Does is come with a "Suddenly Demons" summoning option like the Demon Familiars do, or is it more like "Ok, now everyone form an orderly line in front of the warehouse door, and in a mere 12-17 minutes this poor world will surely feel my power!"

So if you have more demons not descended from you somewhere (like you have some in a Disgaea Netherworld, or an island in the archipelago, reconstituting one from chalcanth, or by using thamaturgy or demon of the 1st circle, or choosing the ones who served you best before you leave the jump) you can bring out X (your maximum) into the wider world?

>>
So, Dresden Files has that perk that lets you make an Emissary that has a fraction of your power, but is there a perk that lets you give fractions of your power to multiple people? Something kind of like Warlocks out of D&D?
>>
>>52053962
Someone is uploading a bunch of scraps right now apparantly.
That one in particular is an attempt to make an endjump into a more pure MtG thing.
It's screwy all over and severely unbalanced towards blue and black.
Pretty sure it's not supposed to be there.
>>
>>52054019
Avengers - EMH has something like that with the HERALDS perk.
>>
>>52054019
Yes. Go to Exalted Infernals and get the Akuma perk.
It hurts like a bitch, but with the perk they can optionally keep free will and also get superpowers.
They pick them up like you would get charms so it's not everything at once, but having to level into it isn't much of a setback.

There's a couple other options out there, but that one is really good.

>How do I avoid asking stupid questions like the one I just asked?
Save the file.
Open the folder it is in.
Go to 4plebs.org
Click on the search field in the upper right.
drag file into Image Hash space where is says "drop your image here"
Press enter or press the search button.
Stop being a lazy waste of human flesh.

Um, Uchiha is 800, and Senju is 600. Rinnegan is 400 on top of that.

Senju is discounted to orphan, clanborn can discount uchiha. So, it costs 1500 for orphan, and 1400 for clan born.

Import a companion as your mentor, give them the booster to 1000. That leaves 500/400 cp worth of drawbacks needed. Hunted nets you 250, leaving you with 250/150 left needed. But, Angst is required for a clanborn uchiha, so it's more like 250/50.

So yeah, just pick up super pervert or catchphrase and you basically have discount pain as your jonin sensei.

That is what I mean, yeah. The problem is that rinnegan is a separate purchase from the two bloodlines.

I dunno if I can buy the rinnegan perk and fanwank the reincarnation juice it provides as some kinda plot armor, and have my companions actually buy the bloodlines, but I kinda doubt it.
>>
>>52054151

>>
>>52054019
Bonus reward from Dishonored lets others use one of your perks (not an open-ended one though, so flight is good, Harry Potter magic is not). Along with a basic durability/agility buff.
Blessing from Innistrad says it "allows you to empower others with weaker versions of your powers by bestowing a small portion of your energy from any pool they can channel", so your mileage may vary.
Call the Champions from Captain Planet lets you give people artifacts that lets them use thematically linked parts of your power, but again that's limited to just one thing overall for people, isn't it? Damn.
>>
>>52054189
Rinnegan is literally just two bloodlines mixed though.
You can do it without perkshare if you're a madman. This isn't some kind of meta perk interaction it's just the result of having both.

>>52054164
Honestly, it's not /horrible/, but it could be a lot better. Mainly as each of these are their own series - two of them fairly meaty - splitting up each of them into separate jumps. Each of them has enough content and narrative variation, easily. As is, it just barely touches upon some really interesting shows. I hope the maker might be willing to make separate jumps, assuming he ever appears.
>>
>>52054196
Who was the one to work on Dishonored?

Dishonored 2 came out after this jump was made and I don't think the person who made it is still around to update it and it lacks the Emily companion option.
>>
>>52054208
Don't you also need some reincarnation juice though?

Someone was discussing the rinne-sharigan the other day and the conclusion I reached was that you needed a blessing from ghost gramps to get the rinnegan.

Which is what I consider the 400 surcharge to be for. So, if I tried this on naruto or sasuke, it would probably automatically succeed, due to them being indra/asura.

Dunno about me though.
>>
>>52054249
Well, Dishonored 2 is a different game. No reason there can't be a jump for it, right?

What the fuck, Google, why am I suddenly having to solve FIVE captchas? You bastards.
>>
>>52054189

>>52054266

>>
>>52054208
Danzo had both the Uchiha eyes and the implanted Senju arm together but it did not awaken the Rinnegan in any of the eyes he gained.

I'm pretty sure the process to gain the Rinnegan is a bit more complicated then just having both Senju and Uchiha DNA.
>>
>>52054291

I think the reasoning behind the fusion was because of the Eureka/Warehouse 13 crossover episodes, but I don't know why they bundled Alphas in there too.

Also, I completely agree with you.
I'd prefer Warehouse 13 and Eureka to be their own jumps.
Not sure if Alphas has enough to work with, though.

Also it was posted at around the same time as the Planeswalker thing, by the same guy.

This 'The Vale' guy needs to post his stuff here first, before doing that. It comes off as shady.

Fisher_Anon made the first Dishonored jump. While I provided Outsider dialogue as he instructed, he was the one who literally did everything else. As for where he's been, who even knows.

>>52054266 is right though, in that Dishonored 2 takes place 15 years after the first game. So there could easily be a jump for the second game as there's a lot more options such as Bone Charm crafting and other powers/equipment. The technological advancements are pretty sick, too. I would really look forward to someone doing Dishonored 2.

>I think the reasoning behind the fusion was because of the Eureka/Warehouse 13 crossover episodes
I think they should be separate jumps, but got lumped together because he was strapped for ideas and decided that the crossover episodes gave him enough excuse to consolidate and make each series a background.

None of them perfectly mesh, and alphas is really out of place compared to Warehouse 13 and Eureka.

What would better backgrounds be for Warehouse 13 for example?
Warehouse Keeper/custodian
Regent.
Agent
Private Concern/Collector

Perhaps my favorite thing in the Dishonored jump is the Arcane Bond. Giving out a 'lesser' version of your Outsider powers to as many people as your soul can take is pretty nice, especially since the Dishonored powers are so useful.

I know that their are probably a million better distribute power options everywhere in jumpchain, but this one is both cheap, in a relatively low powered setting, and and is just at the right level of power where its a great asset but also not at the level where every jump turns into "and then Jumpers super army destroyed everything that could oppose them with absolutely zero casualties."

So I had been toying with an idea for a while and this was the place to do it I decided to create a booth that would let people redesign and transfer in to a new body. I combined a technological version of Geneforge’s shaping via fate/extra’s digitized sorcery with body transfer tech from eclipse phase also creating a limited fork with my own knowledge in genetics and biology as an AI to control it.

Things got a little crazy. Since it was cheap and easy to change bodies, what was considered beautiful changed and mutated rather rapidly. Since everyone could be beautiful the definition of what was beautiful would change from day to day. Crazy fads would strike and be gone almost instantly. Green skin and elf ears were hot for a while then short and curvy. I unintentionally became the richest person on the planet. I was honestly just trying to help people.

Aside from unintentionally making the world a much stranger place (which is saying something for that world) I traveled a lot and tried to help people. Often with it backfiring on the person who I tried to help. I had horrible luck. People I would raise from the dead would turn out to hate the person they had been raised for.

The person looking for the perfect mate I built a bio-andriod to their specifications… it turns out neither the android or the person could stand each other after a few weeks. It turned out to be a strange jump.

61. Fallout 4
Location: Goodneighbor
Age: 33, Origin: The Railroad, Race: Human
Perks: Charmer, Night Person, Wasteland MD, Infiltrator, Inspirational, Mister Sandman
Gear: Starting Gear, Radio Stations, Magazine Collection
Scenario: Main Quest + The Rail Road (War Never Changes, Road To Freedom, Railroad Relay Beacon, Deacon)
Drawbacks: All Roads

I wasn't expecting the Lone Wanderer and the Courier to be here, but I can't imagine where else they would go being blacklisted from the NCR, hounded by legionnaires, and tired of the Capital Wasteland. That they hooked up was something that shocked none of us.

They were surprised that I had been a dedicated Rail Road agent for 5 years, operating mostly through the Commonwealth and Capital Wasteland, that I was an avid magazine collector, and that there is no synth version of me running around.

I have one major problem with the Rail Road, and that is them only really caring about synths. There is almost no quid pro quo with or support for humans in their synth/human equality shpeel. So, I went about making human allies for the Rail Road on top of my usual duties, and a major one of those ended up being the Minutemen. It wasn't a fair relationship, but it was mutually beneficial. We were information gatherers and abolitionists, they were defenders of the people. When the Sole Survivor finally woke up it was almost too easy to get this distraught man to work with us. With three protagonists it was almost too easy to make the Commonwealth safe for synths and humans alike. I ended up using mostly social perks like Self-Regulating this jump, but I was also the guy who, along with the three most recent protagonists, killed every combatant on the BoS Helicarrier and enabled the Slaughter of the Institute scientists.

Deacon was an unexpected bonus, We're kind-hearted jerks and playful tricksters when we want to be, and I do feel a sense of camaraderie with him. I just don't trust him around my dumber companions.

I completely get that. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how I was even going to attempt the drop in perks, but for the other 10 I was going to go off of the stories that Wizards put out for the Return to Ravnica block. All of the stories that they put out are here:
http://mtg.gamepedia.com/Magic_Story

for example, with the Golgari, I was thinking one perk line following the standard necromancy shit that they do, but the "The Shadows of Prahv" story in there gives a good idea for a perk/line based off of Vraska the Unseen. It would be a headache to do that stuff for all of the guilds, and it doesn't really help if you were basing it off of the first Ravnica block, but it is something

Hope you figure something out that works well!

There's another perk like the Ravenloft one in Ghost Rider. It's applicable in most of the same ways but it's less buy and sell and more making a deal. Might be good for coverage.

You might want to take a look at Cecelyne genie infernal charms as well. It's very easy to trick people into wishing for things they don't actually want. They even owe you a favor afterwards.

Something that has not been mentioned.

Telepathy. Good old fashioned reading a prospective clients mind for what they want so you have it and a pitch prepared before you ever approach them. Make the deals you make always advance some agenda of yours not in your payment, but by their mere fulfillment by vetting who you even offer deals to beforehand.

Exalted: Infernals. Cecylene's charm set is full of stuff for making deals. She can see what people most want, she can grant blessings that considerably strengthen desired traits or impart entirely new ones, she can even warp reality to make a desired social position pop into existence. And of course, she has a lot of charms for charging far too high a price without the customer realizing it. The Ebon Dragon loves to think that he's the best at tricking people, but having the themes of "law" and "hypocrisy" make Cecylene much better at doing that when it's part of making a deal.

So, does this work on planets other than Earth? If not, and if you jump a setting where Earth doesn't exist, could you "attune" yourself to another planet? Is there a range at which you're cut off? Or does it always count as you being connected to this setting's Earth?

I am getting my first dragons with two purchases of that one perk from NWN, they won't start out with spells. When they do get spells I don't want them wasting valuable spells known on being cute, that is important but not enough to gimp them early on.

Unless they can train as a normal sorcerer, in which case that might not be as big of an issue. Can dragons train as normal sorcerers?
>>
>>52055494
Did you not hear me, you cannot stop the train from coming through. I'm burnin hot.

THAT TRAIN IS GOING TO GET BUILT

I DONT KNOW WITH WHAT BUT ITS GOING TO GET BUILT
>>
>>52055502
Yes they can. Racial caster levels are effectively the same thing as trained caster levels of the same type. They stack.
Although getting additional spells as a sorceror isn't quite that easy. Unless you want to waste a whole lot of feats that is.

Knowstones can help with this and can give access to loads more spells, but they're expensive and there's no guarantee they'll exist in any given D&D world.
You'll probably need to wish for them or make them yourself.
>>
>>52055539
If I go by fluff doesn't the presence of those Spells Known expanding feats mean that a Sorcerer can obtain new spells with just effort and lots of it?
>>
>>52055568
To the point that that effort isn't really worth it? Probably.
Although if you're going to put that much work in it would probably be to pick up being a wizard instead.
Nothing really stops anyone from being both and it's way more efficient than grinding for forever to get one more spell at a time.

Since sorcerer levels are basically free for a dragon it's not like the split attention would even matter.
>>
>>52055624

Like lots of people, I hung out with Shepard because Shepard goes to all the interesting places anyway. My main contributions were portals: Getting Kaiden off the planet when everyone thought he was a goner, deflecting the Collector ship's beam right back at it, taking Shepard through to get a look at the Catalyst.

After bionic-punting the little twerp through the floor, we mutually decided the Cruicible was utter bullshit. At that point the Reapers were converging in ahead of schedule, so after some debate Shep disarmed the Destroy tubes, I shut down the Synthesis laser and with the help of our resident scientists we rewired the Control handles by writing an AI and then programming it to obey Shep.

And then we took a Reaper on a drunken joyride, crashed it into a bigger Reaper and made the Reapers make kissy noises while bumping into each other.

It's kinda nebulous at the moment, given how many Fate jumps are yet to come.

Elodie's definitely one of them. We most decidedly did NOT hit it off because I was going full mad divine spirit at the time and she was going ballistic trying to pull me back from the brink. In hindsight, giving her a loadout that could kill me at the time was probably something of a mixed message. Given I practically raised her and we'd already had a similar argument over my decision to Darkhallow the fuck out of the Fade, it was like seeing your recovering alcoholic father fall off the bandwagon because someone spiked a convenient bottle of alcohol with unlimited power.

It got to the point where JUMPER started calling me out on it. Fuck JUMPER. He had less than no ground to stand on. Literally around the point I sheared off his ankles, hah.

I also summoned Medea Lily! Who was VERY confused about our bickering, and who we both thought was adorable and oh godammit she must've thought we were an old married couple. We were NOT. Anyway, shenanigans mainly included bonking people cursed by Angra Mainyu on the noggin to cure them, and also being confused by mirrors because getting summoned as a hormunculus makes you cuter than you remember yourself being.

Harry Potter is ridiculously easy to conquer. The wizards have no concept of organization beyond pretend parliament, the vast majority of them don't understand the basic concepts of war, and going by Voldemort alone most of them would probably run into a corner and cry if they were pit against the US army. The wizards only have power because of author fiat. In any real world situation they'd mostly be dead already, especially with all the inbreeding they do.

They work very well, thankyou.

Seriously though, there's a section in the 3.5 DMG that covers the summoning subtype, and it presents (if memory serves) three options for how the magic works and leaves it up to the DM to decide which (or a combination) is how it works in their game:

1. Creates a magical imitation monster based on a conceptual template.

2a. Grabs a random Monster from somewhere else each time.
2b. Grabs the same Monster(s) from somewhere else each time.

I assume you're using the Forgotten Realms jump, so I'll be basing it off of that.

The Forgotten Realms summons monsters from other planes, so post-jump you'd either have a minor connection to the Forgotten Realms to summon monsters from that jump and/or you'd be able to summon things of similar power from the jump you are in if you know how to modify the spells

Summon monster is from the Summoning subschool of Conjuration, it summons manifestations of extraplanar beings not the beings themselves (which would be the calling subschool). At least that is what I'm reading on the wiki.

As such it shouldn't change at all post jump, continuing to just summon manifestations of any suitable creature you know of.

Samuil is with the military, but I befriended him, in spite of me being a mutant, when I saved his bacon after he got attacked by a Bloodsucker.

So, me and my companions (including the new guy, Samuil) wake up buck naked and absolutely plastered on the second floor of a building, a horde of shambling, moaning, not-zombies armed with guns below us. Creeping downstairs, I basically crushed the skull of the first zombie I found, bringing the headless corpse back upstairs so I could loot it. Now that I had pants, my Warehouse key soon found its way back into my pocket, which let us resupply and dress ourselves. After that, I distracted the zombies while my companions made a break for it, with the plan to regroup later in the place where we stashed our gear.

While on the way to the rendezvous point my companions were attacked by bandits, and Samuil was badly injured in the resulting firefight when he shielded the others from a grenade. He lost an arm, and recieved catastrophic damage to his internal organs as well as burns from the explosion. Slipping into a healing coma, which Amos and Anneliese were ignorant of, they quickly got to work in an attempt to save his life using supplies they had taken from the Warehouse. Being mad scientists with a fresh supply of bodies, they also replaced his arm, damaged organs, and made other "improvements".

>Variable Weapon: Staff Caster
So I shall tell you how you make a weapon such as this, which is basically not used unless shit well and truly hits the fan, and costs a total of 200 points. First, you import a couple of weapons that you picked up in prior jumps that could, THEORETICALLY, be themely, and cobble them together.
>Weapon Import: Outlaw Star: Caster (-25)
>Weapon Import: Blame!: Silicon Staff (-25)
You make sure that your weapon has an intermediary mode where the traits of both weapons are present while not necessarily being either one of them.
>Alt-Alt Mode (-50)
And then you make sure that it has the ability to utilize ammunition, and then you amp it the hell up.
>Dust Chamber (-50)
>Dust Focus (-75)
Voila, the Caster Staff. In the form of a pistol, it's still a caster with all the fun that can be expected. In the form of a seven foot staff, it's still useful for all the fun gravity manipulation that can be expected there. And in the intermediary form, it's a tonfa with the abilities of the other mode, if at a notably reduced efficiency.

And yes, brought friends along, the eight of them have ended up comprising two different teams. Inexplicably, I appear to have ended up a loner, because the rest of my team is dead. Hooray. :|

And apparently I'm somewhat notable because I have a weapon, but I keep going out and hunting grimm with a baseball bat. And bashing them in the mask. And WINNING. Sure, I've got powers running at half, but as long as the other half goes to someone that I don't have to worry about.

>Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet:
>"Salem, I seem to have suddenly become more powerful than you."
>"... say that again, doctor?"
>"I am rather certain that I am now a vampire. Also a robot. Also an angel. Also, I am huge and have huge guts, and a sudden affinity for conspiracies. Which is convenient, but none of this makes sense."
>"I... oh, whatever. Maidens. Get. Chop-chop!"

Huh, suddenly I have a bad feeling about this.
>>
>>52056696
Well, whatever. More important things to deal with. Being alone makes me a target for a shadowy conspiracy, but I can deal with that, certainly isn't the first time that's happened. Unsurprisingly, I eventually came across the others and got mixed up in their business. Half power is still plenty of power, so the good news: I saw to it that Yang got her arm replaced with a robotic counterpart, Pyrrhia got a resurrection, and while it took a few years, Cinder's people were eventually taken down and Cinder herself got eaten by Salem. Or something. I'm still not entirely clear on the details of that. Of course, Cinder was not ACTUALLY the Fall Maiden, just stole a measure of her power, so... things were not as bad as they could be.

Bad news: Salem tried to destroy the world a few years later while she was trying to divide the various factions on the planet, and her right hand man was one doctor Arthur Watts, who was the guy that got half of my powers. When things progressed further and there was a showdown, he had apparently used the abiliies he'd gotten from me to resurrect their dead allies as vampires and other similar revenants. Thanks to the joys of how positive and negative energy work, though, undead had a notable weakness to Aura abilities, but this doesn't mean everyone didn't basically spend TWO EPISODES tearing through everyone as they made their charge into the villainous complex with the backdrop of the grimmpocalypse beginning outside.

And then Arthur rezzed everyone AGAIN to charge them from behind. (Which, fortunately, depleted his ability to do things like that further, and everyone made short work of the zombies because they already knew how to deal with them.)
>>
>>52056700
While the Maidens were revealed (and come on, you know who they'll end up being, don't make me spoil it) and engaged Salem, I kept Arthur busy. Sure, he had my abilities, but perhaps five years of training in how to use them. I on the other hand have tens of thousands of years, and while it made for a very interesting fight, as soon as he agreed to deal with me head-on the conclusion was foregone.

By which I mean he fought honorably, and after I got him into position, I had my companions blast him into unconsciousness.

And then I chopped off his head, incinerated the corpse, and burned the remains.

Eventually, the good guys proved victorious, orbital fire support proved effective to end the grimmpocalypse, and I spent my two remaining years dealing with the White Fang because they were the last large intact group that could hope to mess with me and were also unforgivably stupid terrorists.

Once Arthur Watts died, apparently my powers went to Whitley Schnee. Not sure if want, but he instituted a number of changes in the Schnee Dust Company that improved profits, employee happiness, and dealt with most of the underlying problems effectively. It's all in how you apply all of those perks. Though he was even more insufferably smug, from what I hear...

"So, where are we now?"

The end result, when they finally got to the rendezvous point, carrying the unconscious Samuil, was that he ended up looking somewhat like a Russian Frankenstein. Samuil was surprisingly nonplussed about the whole thing, just being glad to alive, but he was a little upset that he had to leave the military.

Over the next few days, with the permission of Samuil and with the help of some of the things in the Warehouse Medbay, Amos and Anneliese made further improvements to Samuil's body, giving him mild super strength while also smoothing out their earlier work, making him look less monstrous. At his request, they left a few of his facial scars alone because they "made him look manly".

After that, we mostly played it safe, sticking around settlements near the border and occasionally doing mercenary work.

I'm replacing Dark Souls with this Jump because I felt Dark Souls was out of place that early on.
>>
>>52048638
If you can imagine it being used as a weapon, it most likely is.
Practically everything I carry on me transforms into some kind of weapon or armor. They're mostly useless at my power level but stuff like a bulky wristwatch that can transform into a power armor gauntlet and used to grab the remote are too useful to get rid of.

no but I think it's been claimed
>>

Yup, I'm the one who claimed it, though if someone else wants to try they have the go-ahead.
Did you have something you want from that? Or even better, what would people in general want from that?

Goonswarm perk tree or thousand CP item
>>
>>52057035
There will be faction perk trees and perks about the various null-sec empires.
Maybe a big station or a Titan for 1000 CP?
>>
>>52057049
fair enough. I was thinking A replenishing supply of few hundred of the most basic ship, enough loyal soldiers to crew them and a lot of cashthough
>>
>>52057026
I would appreciate some Clear Skies references throughout. Maybe a BECAUSE OF FALCON perk.

Just something to remind me of when I used to play.
>>
>>52052643
>Well, that's your opinion. A great deal of Forgotten Realms Dragons think differently.

Correction: A non-published source thinks those are appropriate compensation.

Even ignoring how poorly the designers understood 3e, in 2e these wouldn't quite cut it either.

How loud is too loud? because I think I made a speaker too loud, I had the idea that the Hellstar guitar be cooler if it was electric guitar which got me thinking how to make something that could amplify it sufficiently.

I've got overwatch speaker technology combined with Elite beat Agents technology, songstone and ormagoden steel fueled by the Beat Switch and gamma states switch along with the music Gaiamemory. what else can I do to take this further?

For the 40K buffs out there, are the C'tan gods or "merely" immensly powerful energy aliens? And to forestall the philosophical discussion of what a god is-I mean something is embodies and has an inherent metaphysical connection to an aspect of reality, just like how Khorne personifies killing bloodthirst.

Also why don't they have any presence in the Warp, and since they don't-how did the Eldar's gods affect them back in the day?
>>
>>52057131
It’s Hot-Drop O’ Clock! (400 CP)
The cavalry’s here!
Whenever you find yourself in a fight you know you can’t possibly win, you can always count on this.
This perk allows for an undetermined cavalry to come to your rescue and allow you to escape should your life be threatened, though they can only come to help you once a year.

Is that to your liking?
>>
>>52054476

You could just do a single perk for the origins, and then some Colour-discounted perks.

So, instead of 44 origin perks, you'd have 11-22 origin perks that capture the general theme of the Guild and 10 Colour perks that cover the magical themes.

What Jumps give you Stands, or Stand-like abilities? So far I've got JoJo (obviously), /co/co/, Space Station 13, and Persona. Are there any other's
>>
>>52057259

If you just mean "murder spirit" and not "bizarre conceptual murder spirit", then a lot of jumps could emulate that fairly easily.

>>
>>52057289
As bizarre as possible, preferably.
>>
>>52057216
They aren't really tied to any aspect of reality, they are actually fairly independent from reality. Though some of them have a particular thing of which they are particularly good at, such as the void dragon and technology. In that almost no technology that doesn't rely upon the warp can resist the void dragon's control, and just a shard of him being on mars caused humanity to develop their technology as far as they did in the dark age of technology. A number of the other C'tan have similar affinities, however it's more of a matter of what they are good at, rather than an individual trait.

As for their warp presence, they just don't, though they came into being with the universe, and should predate the existence of the warp. For the Eldar gods affecting them, it's a matter of them using warp energies in the materium, which the C'tan can't account for.

Manifestation, definitely. Not like Khnum, or anything.
>>

There's more than a couple jumps where you can use magic to give items manifestations if manifestations are what you're looking for. Could just use that and combine with the item or something if it has to specifically be a part of you.

Working on a perk anyone know of how to word a perk that is 400 tier in a low power setting that basically amounts to "you are so cute you can make people eyes turn into heart by hugging them" or something along those lines.

Any ideas?

What's the jump. A quote from that could work

Miss kobayashi dragon maid, just a little wip a couple people are making together in the irc. If it turns out good it may get posted, if not it will probably get erased, no claims on the setting here just spitballing for a possible jump.

Shaman King & Toriko.

Toriko you can have hunger demons which are more or less personification of your gourmet cells.

Shaman Kings you got a ghost that acts like a stand.

I was just trying to include the thread as I know tbere are fand here. plus its like 7 am and I posted while my truck was warming up to go to work. Kawaii Desu~ (400cp) -> Aren't you the cutest thing ever?! Not only are you adorable as a button, your mannerisms are also cute. Giving someone a hug will turn even the most dangerous opponent into a friend temporarily. When hugged those affected have their pupils of their eyes or equivalent of, turn into heart shapes.

Would this work? I'm not familiar with the setting here >>52057487

>>52057614
But it would take forever to make the shit to furnish even one house properly and buying materials would put me on the grid.

Im going to have to either bump the minecraft Jump up earlier in my chain in order to take advantage of equivalent exchange for materials or start taking all my stuff with me in a pocket dimension.

There has got to be a way to purchase furniture like in Buy Mode proper somewhere in all the Jumps
>>
If I take the 600 CP drawback in the Death Note jump, do I still need to ensure that people

so that would probably fuck me up.
>>
>>52057544
Hey Timmy, I know its hard to understand. However thread isn't there just for bitching at latest thing to bitch at. If someone asks for help with something, its polite and courteous to either ignore it, or try and help. Jumpmaking isn't a paid gig, no one is forcing Jumpmakers to do anything. Even if it was paid work, asking for help isn't "doing their work for them". Now if he/she asked "hey /JC/ could you do this entire jump for me? I need X/Y/Z." That would be different. All the DragonMaidAnon is asking is for some help describing a perk. Sometimes people hit a creative block & need community help.

>>52057655
Hugs turning people's eyes into hearts invites cringe. Typically that means you got some sort of charm affect going on.
>>
>>52057661
No. Stop yourr powerwanking.
>>

>>
>>52057698
...Wanting to furnish a mundane house with mundane furniture is powerwanking?

You realize there are tons of furnished properties for cheap right? Massive castles and manor. There are towns for purchase. Entire private dimensions that come with residences.

Without buying a town a Jumper can still end up with a cities worth of buildings and furniture. And because I want to be able to buy, not spawn, BUY furniture that is powerwanking?

Sure, let's go with that.
>>
>>52057740
Yes. Go buy it at a store or make it. We don't have to cater to your wank.

>hugging
Uh huh. Really.

But more seriously, plenty of jump-makers get stuck on certain things, so don't get discouraged. At least you have an idea of what it's meant to be based on. It's very easy to get three perks down out of four for a background, or worse 5 or 6 out of 8, and go "welp, I've got nothing for the last one".
>>
>>52055014
Red has given him the opportunity to do so. He has yet to do fuck all. Not even a whimper out of him.

>>52054979
Eh, I wouldn't see an equivalence there, anon. Sure, we may have a little nothing going on in our lives, but we're coming together creatively. Sure some of us can be pricks, but usually thats temporary, and we're coming together to be creative and have fun with something that we enjoy, like with any hobby.

This guy, is not like the rest of us. He is 100% shitposting, all the time. No variation, no originality, no cleverness. He is not particpating in the hobby, he's just trying to ruin it for everyone else, and worse, he's bad at it!

He's not even bad enough to repell anyone from the drive, much as he'd like to claim otherwise; he's just annoying enough to be a like a little persistent itch, and so defeats himself again and again, in a display so apthetic it isn't even funny.

"Hey, kids, wanna see a dead body."

Does anyone actually take the adridged drawbacks? Like Hellsing Abridged, DBZ Abridged, etc.?

Much as i find them funny and entertaining, I for one, don't really know how to make a good jump-story that works with them, that wouldn't be just as good as the vanilla series.

I do! And-I'm not gonna lie, you'd be surprised how little most of 'em change the plot-with one or two exceptions.

>Hellsing Abridged

Alucard is...Alucard, just goofier, more quiet about his deathwish and responsible for High School of the Dead. Most of our fights start with a phrase like "Adventure Time goes to shit in four seasons" and end with a phrase like "ADULT SWIM IS THE FUTURE OF ANIMATION".

>SAO Abridged

Apart from the world as a whole making more sense, after showing Kirito the original SAO he starts flipping out about how his canonical counterpart isn't even a real gamer while furiously taking notes about how to talk to girls and influence people.

After a while, I quickly discover that a good way to remove obstacles is to tell Asuna they've been paying too much attention to Kirito.

"Did you know Kayaba's surveillance system covers the showers?"

"WE CAN USE THE SHOWERS?!"

"Yes. Yes, you click the bottom right corner of the me-nevermind"

"So you're telling me there's naked video footage of ALL of us somewhere"

"The databank's five floors up behind the glitching dragon. Have fun"

>Dragonball (various)

The main one was because of certain drawbacks I became the partner of the Time Patroller. Aka Dumplin. Aka, He Who Would Become Mr. Popo and create the Abridged Series universe.

As it turned out, Dumplin and I would eventually set up a transtemporal cosmic drug business, so to maintain the abridged timeline I had to send demonic drugs drugs into the Xenoverse future. Because the Time Patrol has given no fucks for much worse. Mr. Popo interrupted the Benefactor to tell me this in order to remind me to drop off the good stuff from Hegra in the future to maintain the timeline.

Which meant that during the fights, occasionally drugs would just rain out of the sky on Namek. Or the demon dimension. Or Toki Toki City.
