Once again. Look into it yourself.
If you don't know the character you shouldn't be waifuing them. An explanation from someone else is simply not enough information or context on the matter.

The Danmachi jump. He says it right there.

At this point it doesn't matter about the character you're screwing, just that they have the equipment.

No, because just as wrong to pick up drunken men or picking up men in a dungeon for the exact same reasons, if you meet someone you think might be nice in a dungeon. Wait a few days after the adventure and give them a call and have a relaxing picnic together. if the threat of monsters and traps is the only thing giving energy to your relationship. You're going to have a bad time
>>
>>51457047
>>51457083

How cold bancho.
>>
>>51457083
By that reasoning you can't flirt with someone who is excited for any reason.
>>
>>51457040
Well it's what he's looking for in the end. I'm not even judging him for that, everybody's got a feeling of loneliness they take care of in their own way.

>intoxication is equivalent to an adrenaline high
You know, the fact that you're a lawyer does and doesn't amaze me.

[storyteim]
I did some research for a well known university, as part of that research I had to go digging through the library. On one occasion I came across two students arguing at a table. They were arguing, seriously debating, not fucking around or friendly joking, whether a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat. I feigned interest in a bookshelf and I listened to them just to make sure that they were having an honest debate, both of them were quoting "science" and believed that their case was the correct answer.

I didn't weigh into the argument, because I was fucking amazed, but I had to ask them what they were studying. Both were law students: one was specializing in contracts, the other was working on becoming a patent attorney.

Think of that conversation, then consider how much lawyers shape what goes on in most countries.

[/storyteim]
>>
>>51457093
No, it shouldn't, it should bloom on shore leave when the situation is calm and heads are level. the ideal is getting into a nice relationshipand then you and your partner battle off monsters and find treasure together as a couple

>>51457104
it's a matter of degree anonymous.
>>
>>51457093
He's got a bit of a point though. It's all fun and games in the dungeon, but afterwards you might realize you hate each other and only fucked because of the hormones. Although I would argue that being excited due to endorphins leaves you in a better state than being so drunk you're unconscious or unable to say no. It's not immoral, but that relationship isn't love and probably won't last.
>>
>>51457135
>It's not immoral
That's what we're discussing though. Is it WRONG to pick up girls in a dungeon?
>>
>>51457064
> How will I fare?
Well, it looks like you're forgetting erevything, and getting shunted into the plot right from the start, but on the plus side you can learn magic pretty fast and you'll get befriended by Nanoha pretty early, for all that entails.

So after you wake up from your befriending induced coma, Nanoha will probably protect you. She tends to look after her friends.
>>
>>51457154
>She tends to look after her friends.
So long as her friends take care of her, if ya know what I mean.

That's what I thought would happen, yes, and I'm okay with getting smacked around for story purposes.

The drawbacks that make you forget stuff also mention that you acquire your purchases over the course of the jump, instead of getting them at the start. So going mad with power and then getting beat up by Nanoha seems like a good story-based way to get both the Screening Process perk and character development at the same time.

I went into the jump with an out of jump solution to that.

You see, there's a Laboratory item in Generic Universal Monster that comes with a replenishing supply of human body parts for the purposes of mad science. For this jump, they make a good snack.

The virus from Resident Evil 7 isn't that bad. Doesn't seem any more or less creepy than previous viruses in the series.
>>
>>51457582
No spoilers on that please. I've yet to get caught up with the rest of civilization and have to rely on other people's Let's Plays (I still only have a friggin PS2 that I've kept running this long through I'm not sure how).

>Grants ridiculous durability.
>grants the ability to create giant spiders and mosquitoes.
>Probably does even more but I'm not that far in the game yet.

I feel like if a jumper actually made a virus they would have made something like the virus from RE7, just with additional ability to keep everyone attractive (aka Adonis) for vanity's sake
>>
>>51457575
No, I mean LITERALLY.

Adventurers get a fancy title every time they level up. She's level 5(?), so she's had four. Her current one is 'Sword Princess', IIRC.

At one point, her goddess, Loki, had to blackmail and threaten all the other gods because they wanted to make her title 'Mai Waifu'.

Also, she's a Kuudere.
>>
>>51457623
All I will say is that it is fucked up bad.

>>51457618
Something about what it does to the brain is just seriously creepy to me. Like I could handle the C-virus, I could handle the bullshit the G-virus did. But this is just different kinds of nightmare fuel that hit close to home.

Not everybody has the tech for that you complete ding-dong. Plus the environments and ghettos Ghouls find themselves living in don't lend themselves particularly well to expensive lab equipment.

My method enables them to continue farming it long after I'm gone, and can cultivate it regardless of conditions, and it doesn't take specialized training.

It's brilliant isn't it.
>>

I pretty much ruled the largest settlement in generic post-apocaplyse, and I got obnoxiously influential on Gunsmoke in the Trigun jump because I was terraforming it + my social perks to the point to where I pretty much called the shots and I didn't even have to actually rule it. If I wanted a law put into place, I had the connections and influence to do so.

I also ruled tons of settlements in Anno 2070.

Listen Bancho, you're wrong here. It is not wrong to pick up someone in a dungeon. Now that adrenaline running through your system should NOT be the basis of your relationship in the future, like almost every action/adventure protagonist in the past half century and their rotating cast of co-stars/love interests. Because if the adrenaline is the entire basis of your relationship, it's gonna fail pretty badly.

But the act of picking someone up at that point is not wrong in and of itself. Moreover Adrenaline/Endorphins don't effect your judgement more than any other natural brain chemicals, which are always active.
>>
>>51458621
I respectfully disagree but I get where you're coming from and I understand your point of view.

Your jump is garbage. Before you even TRY to post it here, make sure you actually write it in your own words. Then take out the broken bullshit, tell us more about the setting, give the perks more information, fix the weird pricing scheme and probably a bunch of other things I could say but don't even want to look at that ugly ass document again. It needs a lot more work over the whole thing if you want to make something good looking and not just shit out some power grab.

>>51458330
Links only to a view, we cant comment with it.

As for suggestions I would nerf the immortal race option a bit. The way its worded implies you can't ever be killed as well as its kind of vague about where you got the immorality. Are you a lich that has a phylactery? If so then they could just destroy the phylactery to kill you thus technically giving the ability for you to die.

I'm not familiar with the source material so I can't really comment about how you did the jump.

And have your stand be an Angel with a Shotgun.

>>51458723
>Tetseiga gun
Why?
>>
>>51458678
Here's the thing, anon. A new namefag has no good will to fall back on. Namefagging is usually discouraged on 4chins, but if you produce content or neat builds you can overcome that. However, a new namefag who steps on his crank before he even says boo is going to have a rough time.

It's not rocket science, anon, to post to /jc/ before uploading onto /jc/'s drive. It's not arcane, or mysterious, or some sekrit in club bullshit. If he wants to post to the SB drive, he can do so. However, if you're going to post content for a community its only reasonable, zero tier common sense, to engage the community beforehand.

So I get what you're saying about da chins is evul, but in this case he legit fucked up and then didn't cop to that when he first bothered to post.
>>

There are canon characters who don’t have a Linker Core, and of course no powers from other jumps.

If they can have no issues with what amounts to both capstone drawbacks, I think your build will be fine.

Well that's good.
Because you're fucking wrong.

There's a fuck ton of things that can cause changes in hormones. Fear, anger, love, lust, whatever. If you take "Well, it's wrong to pick up people in a dungeon cuz hormones" then that can easily be extrapolated to "it's wrong to pick someone up anytime cuz hormones." And by extension, literally every single intimate act ever is rape. What you're saying is that in essence, feminazis are right.

Ergo, you're fucking wrong.

The jump explicitly states that they'll never be stronger than a normal woman.
You can stuff them in power armor i guess, but on their own they won't be beating the shit out of much.

Though in a normal (low-power) jump having a bunch of maids beat people up with brooms and frying pans would be pretty hilarious.

Question for the thread or any long-chain Jumpers.

I'm dusting off my Cat Wizard chain and considering continuing with them, just because...well, I had 100+ jumps with them and starting over is a pain in the ass. Thing is, this means I need to go back and quantify what I can do.

Considering how hopped up on magic they were by the end, this is harder than it sounds.

Does anyone have a character sheet or template they use for tracking the abilities of their Jumper? Or tips for it? I use Cherrytree, primarily.

>>51459643
Mainly because it's really hard to get to level 10. iirc, you have to have been around for 1000+ years, and you will have to have mastered multiple magic systems from different worlds. Even if you do take the 200 years 0+ drawback in Hero BBS, it is just not possible to reach level 10 in Hero BBS alone. It's possible to reach it when you have gone through multiple jumps because you can still access the BBS even outside the jump, but the main reason it is not banned is the same reason why high-powered jumps are allowed to exist--much like how you have to earn the right to survive in those jumps by getting stuff from previous jumps so you can survive in them, you have to earn level 10 from Hero BBS yourself.

That's why level 10 Magicians are so powerful, because if they can't do something within the limits of one magic system they just switch to another or have combined multiple systems because they have done the work in mastering a lot of magic systems. It's not simply a matter of fighting a lot and getting EXP, but that does help.

Granted, this is just a explanation for level 10 magic stuff and not like a level 10 hero or rouge, and admittedly I haven't really read Hero BBS so I could be completely wrong, but this is the general impression I have gotten from discussions on the subject.

tl;dr you have to earn Level 10 in Hero BBS
>>
>>51459774
>Thank you. But don't /you/ have cheat-tier talent?
Yes, but the thing is that the time already accounts for you having cheat level talent.

Meaning that if you bring OOC cheat tier talent it still won't be possible to reach that level within a reasonable amount of time unless you have so many learning/growth rate perks that you could reach that level of power more easily with other systems.

IE it isn't an issue unless you are super late chain or have super cheat level growth, both of which render the issue mute.

No, doesn't really appeal. Closest is when we largely ran the Lachuirp civilization for several generations out of the necessity of being the most experienced and capable people around to restart a society beset on all sides.

Eventually we managed to get to a point where we were leaders in tradition and name mostly when the civilization got its feet under it. Widely respected within or fields but no actual responsibility except for what we decided to act upon - which was still a considerable amount but it wasn't to the same degree. Only Mairwen dedicated her full efforts to being the Archmage, teaching magic alongside the Tower of Eyes to the aspiring citizens.

I don't really wear my armor much, if I have to get geared up for a fight I don't really pay much consideration to aesthetics. Its kinda generically sci-fi looking considering its base form was some armor a Destiny Ghost spun up. Did at least repaint it for unit designation.

So someone last thread was asking why Mephisto didn't take Peter Parker's soul for the One More Day thing, why he asked for their marriage instead. As I recall, there was a What If where Mephisto got Silver Surfer's soul, but because he was good and virtuous it burned him, like the Sun and a vampire, except Mephisto didn't turn to ash and he had to live with it for all eternity.

So if that's still a thing, where heroic/good souls burn him, then no wonder he didn't want Spider-Man's soul. He's one of the most heroic guys out there!

Well technically-these days my armor is a specific portion of my soul crystalised into something uniquely focused on defence. Like a Divine Construct, or a dimensional anchor, or a galaxy. All woven into one seamless pattern of conceptual defence.

I don't INTENTIONALLY pimp it out, but because of my Primordial nature it kind of naturally pimps itself out with my themes (like lots of silver-purple fire) the way other people have pimples.

>>51456852
Several worlds in the past. Magi, Tropico and Civ jump spring to mind as the ones where I started from the top, as it were. Those were the early days when I was a big fan of technological singularities and post-scarcity, ironically because my thought process was all: If everyone has everything they need, nobody will want to make progress, so we gotta make lots of progress now to make sure the future stays the same forever. In the case of DeSu it was sort of like receiving an inheritance-and by then I'd LONG chilled out, so my style of government was more about stimulating the economy with demonic welfare.

Anyway, I take the whole protecting the multiverse thing seriously so I've ruled quite a few worlds over the span of my journey when I feel they need to be ruled.

I don't really have an attachment for rulership so much as I do for control though; whenever there's a competant leader, I'm more than happy to rule by proxy by setting up a shadow government and letting the figurehead run the day-to-day errands. Or just straight up entrust the world to the right entity.

By default though, I usually just leave behind a cybermoon to watch over things.

Well, Eggman is actually from an alternate universe, where he nuked Sonic and his friends. He then arrived in Sonic's universe and went on a rampage, including but not limited to: killing 99% of the Echidna race via extracting their life force to power his city because it was more 'fun', burning Knothole to the ground and beating the shit out of Sonic, all the while taunting him about his failures, and then later on gleefully planning on murdering not only his enemies but his own minions in order to gain total control of the world. He's kind of a psychotic dick.

Nevertheless, I DID promise to show /something/ these days.

So... I guess here's the first WIP of Exalted - The Lunars.

It's got half the perks I'm planning right now, and not much else yet. Not sure what kind of perk to have for Beastmen, or whether to just fit that under the two Barbarian perks I still need to do.

As for the rest (stuff that isn't perks and all)... [spoilers]that's still to come later. Items/Artifacts in particular are still a mess of ideas not fit to show off. Wish I had more that weren't weapons or armor though).

Mostly that it can't have supernatural powers, nor can it be an one-off. Has to be a full species.

But really, this is Lunars, they could also just steal the Heart's Blood of them later.

>I think it's a bit too good for a 200 CP from an in-setting perspective...
It's not actually a Shaping PD though. Except where it pertains to shapeshifting, I suppose. Getting turned to stone, or getting your soul kicked out of your body with a Shaping attack would still kill you.

And... Lunars already naturally get the benefit of this on their own shapeshifting? The perk just extends it to Altforms and other shapeshifting

Also, saving the WIP as a pdf and uploading the pdf would be better, outside links are are a problem, because of bait and switch stuff. This is why uneditable pdf and pastebins are preferred.

Ok, for the jump itself. Dragon Race, why? They are not really common appearances in the series or movies, a couple episodes at most?

The artifact section has only high priced artifacts, you need some small CP ones also.

The canon companion option (and Librarian CP increase) are way over priced, they are basically regular people, and you are charging 4 color superhero costs for them.

Having group import 600! CP for everyone but Serpent Brotherhood needs to go.

Yeah but everyone in the shows is super unoptimized.
I've run sims against Yugi's deck while he has straight up cheating and beaten him in 3 rounds, it's not hard to be better at dueling than the MCs as long as you actually know competitive archetypes.

>Hang on-I remember they were definitely COMMUNIST robots, but...aztec?
It's not something that gets brought up too often, but the Primordials favored Aztec aesthetic themes. The "Old Realm" language they spoke is written with Aztec characters, for example. The Aztec look wasn't their only set of aesthetics, they all had their own personal favorites, but it was a common thread. Autocthon's kept that alive in Autocthonia, once an Alchemical hits Colossus scale they tend to look like Aztec statues, and at Metropolis scale they often take the form of stepped pyramids (with a giant statue sitting on top, of course). Human-sized Alchemicals have more varied designs, though, it doesn't show as much with them.

So sometimes you can throw a plot entirely off with a single action. Things started as normal with me in the role of protagonist. Things seemed to be progressing normally as we gathered heroes from this world and my companions together we had quite an army. Unfortunately the things we were fighting were … absurd. It was hell trying to keep people alive while I fought things that gave me a challenge.

(to be continued)
>>
>>51461883
The only way we were able to make progress was with lots of teamwork, tactics, healing magic and luck. Despite fighting foes who likely would have conquered most worlds things progressed with relative normalcy… until we ran in to the red Lerium dragon.

The damn thing was practically invincible. Anything anyone hit it with who wasn’t me just really pissed it off and what’s worse it managed to pin us in a bad position.

So I decided time to pull out all the stops I used all my power from various power boosters, taking in some energy from all of my companions and used my power from Nanoha to remove it’s head in one clean blast. It was trying a beam struggle and crit failed.

So Corpheus not only lost his trump card but his immortality.

He decides he is going to destroy the world if he can’t rule it and heads to go permanently open the fade.

We manage to close the fade… somehow damn things that came out of it were nightmares. That’s when Solas stopped us and told us who was behind it (we strongly suspected at this point) and that we had to go hurry or he was going to stop him from destroying the world. When asked how he knew this he revealed he was a god (would have been nice had he used some of that divine power to stay conscious a little more often but I digress).

We head to go stop Corphues he is opening huge rift and nightmarish things are coming out, we fight our way to him and he makes the castle rise in the air so we are cut off from back up that wasn’t really coming anyway.

We make it to him ,I swear the bastard could have given Galactus a tough time but we manage to beat him close the rift. Solas has disappeared after his god reveal; not that I’m bitter he didn’t stick around and use some of his godly power to help but gods do what they do.

Anyways we saved the world. Even convinced Solas not to destroy the fade and the world after that.

Eh... It's pretty batshit, but you're a shapeshifting demigod with no responsibilities (instead of a demigod with a JOB forcing you to do things, for the other three Exalted jumps).

As long as you don't get spotted by the Wyld Hunt, you're generally going to do fine. Staying at the edge of the Wyld, or just being a slippery bastard good at hiding/stealth, means you can be pretty safe.

>>51461827
>How close are you to being lost, then?
>Such as?
Basically, I wrote this as a general perk first, and I still need to reword that.

But the idea is that you /probably/ have some wyld mutations like Ma-Ha-Suchi's horns/hoofs, or Raksi's backwards fingers/insanity, and access to Chimera abilities... But without the Permanent Limit and insanity.

>Isn't this something you could already do, anyway? What, with the insanity and making a target out of yourself, it reads more like a drawback.
The main benefit would retaining access to this when you lose the Wyld Taint after the jump.

Well, that and being able to use them without Permanent Limit.

>>51461829
Huh, sure. I hadn't considered that, but now that you mention it... Seems like an obvious thing to allow.
>>
>>51461731
Heh. Going into Yugi's time and using the Pendulum deck. The best idea?~
>>
>>51461679
It isn't really that so much as the main character (and some antagonists) are cheating with magic. Yami yugi could pull whatever card he wanted with heart of the cards.
Pegasus could see your hand and your game plan, Marik could torture you during the game and even lock your hands in a torture device so you couldn't activate your cards.
They are a bunch of cheaters.
>>
>>51461509
I'm not being a pedant. The analogy is apt to the discussion. That's how Real Eater works, by altering the effect of a power the same way as that would be altering the wavelength and frequency of the bicycle's matter.

You're the one who brought it up.

Any piece of metal can be used as an antenna, technically. It's not going to be very energy efficient, and it's going to be a lot bulkier, but yes, you can theoretically emit microwave radiation from a bicycle. I'm pretty sure you'd melt the damn thing from the amount of power you'd need to run through it in order to cook things with it, but it would technically work.
>>
>>51462059
Right, so I'm going to be changing that. Just because I know that losing to Joey and not the Pharaoh would make it hurt even worse for Yami Marik, and he totally deserves that.

>Well, that and being able to use them without Permanent Limit.
Oh, also, the three other origins can't get them without the perk at all. The tattoos stop that entirely.

You're also not so much a target, as an untattoo'd Lunar who /looks/ close to Chimera-ness. Which will make any retrieval teams that show up very wary, but then they /did/ tattoo something like ol' Ma-Ha-Suchi too.

So long as you don't act like a horrible monster, you'd probably be considered salveable.

>>51462058
Sounds good.

Why Casteless versus anything else, if I may ask? Aside from it being the most complete perk line right now, I suppose...
>>
>>51462120
As I recall, that will be useful later on. Besides, it would make it so much better for Joey to win against Yami Marik, since it would shut both him and Kaiba up.
>>
>>51462070
They're still completely unrelated systems and it makes no sense on a logical level to translate an inability to be infected with Ebola into an inability to be affected by cyanide.

The only difference between disease/poison and mundane/magical is a matter of scale; one is low-level, and one is high-level.
>>

Anyway I just spent the jump running a Gelato Bar/Restaurant and spending time in relative peace. US military kept attacking me but usually I could keep them at bay. The vampires weren’t that much trouble to deal with either, usually I sang at them and used illusion magic to make wild disney acid trip like musical numbers to weird them out into leaving.

Uneventful, I’d say.

A bit late, but I took Evolution, Curiosity, Objectivity, Innovation, Compassion, and Creativity. Unless I misunderstood the perk completely and all those voices are minds of their own, and can research stuff independently. Then it would probably be worth it to specific science stuff.

>>
>>51462741
Is it really zoophilia if your true form is "all of them"? It's not even that he/she/it is fucking non-sapient creatures, because in many of Luna's forms Luna is themselves non-sapient. Luna isn't really a person so much as a walking embodiment of "fight or fuck". Quite literally, that's how they were made. Oramus used his powers over the Beyond to make an entirely notional universe where every possible moon deity existed at once, and then after one of them had eaten or seduced all the others into fusing with them Cytherea made it real. And then they gave it to Gaia as a waifu, because apparently Gaia's into that?

I'm not trying to defend Luna's actions, understand. I'm just saying that given Luna's nature, maybe we shouldn't expect more from her. Maybe casting judgement over a being that is fundamentally incapable of acknowledging it is a pointless endeavor.

(I never saw this, so this should be interesting…)

It takes a lot to get someone to sign away their humanity, Maybe it’s the memories of what happened that day on the wall. I fought as Hard as I could. Used every trick I had but damned if there weren;t too many. It was just too much. I got as many people as I could out of that hell… far fewer than I wish I could.

When I was approached with the chance to become something to fight them. I guess I didn’t really have to think about it. Maybe I was still angry.

Now… they all look at me like a monster. I go out with the Jagers and I fought and take down the monsters. Even though something in my head tries to tell me to do things differently.

Humanity bears no love for the monsters it creates. I can live with that though. I can bear their hatred if it keeps them safe.

They discovered the breach would only open to Kaiju DNA… I suspect that’s why they did this to me. So they decided to send me and a dying Jaeger pilot in to the Breach to enter it and kill everything on the other side. Risking their lives most of the rest of my companions decided to come along.

We stormed the breach faught through unholy abomination after unholy abomination, wall to wall Kaiju. We managed to find and destroy the aliens.

It was only supposed to be a one way trip but we were able to get a message back and returned. Those pilots that went with me got a ticker tape parade for saving the world. Me and the other Kaiju got to watch it on tv. They couldn’t really aknowledge our existence. Such is the fate of a monster.

In a context like jumpchain, zoophilia is really only fairly applied to sex with non-sapients. And that is what Luna does.

I always thought moral relativism like this is stupid. Beings like Luna, whether capable of self-reflection or not, rule over and control beings who do. Thus humans can judge them morally, because they themselves have to deal with a being and its actions and how it effects them. Luna doesn't exist in some vacuum or among beings who think like she does.
>>
>>51463015
It's not moral relativism in the sense of "how dare you judge someone else's perspective?". I'm just conceding defeat. No one's ever going to tell Luna "you are bad for doing these things that you do" and get it to stick. So why keep talking about it? Either kill her and appoint a new moon goddess or just move on already.

When you were in the army/civilian live you were abducted by whatever evil scientist group of your choosing and went through horrible experiments where they gradually replaced you body parts into the synth equivalents. After they were done they sewed you back up, used the mesmerizer to have you forget about everything and sent you on your merry way if your Nora or recommended you to leave the army if your Nate to study you in a more controlled civilian life environment.

This would also explain why the Institute was after your family in particular, your bodies can more easily accept the grafts needed to turn you into a cyborg and the Institute are descendants of whatever Evil scientist group that kidnapped you.

If that is not a background of your taste then just fanwank that the upgrades just teleported into you by jump fiat.

Not really. They're the same universe, just separated by thousands of years. I think Phantasia magic would probably be weaker just because there are less wizards around to pass on knowledge of advanced uses, but it's ultimately the same stuff. That's just a degree of skill, not power.

It's probably the one thing that ties SB and this place together, since they're just as obsessed about jumping correctly, except their correct way is taking as much power as possible.

Sorta, yes. They're at war with Heaven/the Sidereals.

>Known as the Getimian Exalted, these mysterious agents are walking paradoxes, men and women whom Fate says should not exist. Their magic is every bit as arcane as that of the Maidens’ Chosen, and their master claims that they outstrip the Sidereals in enlightenment and skill. The Getimians undermine the Maidens’ Chosen at every turn, dogging their attempts to shepherd Creation’s destiny. The Sidereals are uncertain where they end and where their foes begin; when they hunt for the Getimians in the patterns of the Loom, they see nothing but the ragged remains of destinies denied and fates rendered null.

I think Exigents are a cool idea. Getiminians sound intersting but I'm a bit unsure about them.

In the end it doesn't really matter because we'll never see them until they come out in 30 years. Honestly we have a better chance of the the last two ASOIAF books coming out than we do for the rest of 3e.

>inb4 reeeee casuals!1!!
>>
>>51463545

I think the obvious solution would be independent research. I've personally got into tons of settings I didn't even know existed because of Jumpchain.
>>
>>51463581
Why Darkseid in particular?
>>
>>51463603

Probably because he's super strong with shit like the Omega Force and I think there's a drawback somewhere for going up against him?
>>
>>51463545
If people were really interested in the setting, they'd do the research for it. A lot of the time people aren't, they just take a jump if it gets brought up to them for a perk or an item that got popular in the thread. I don't think a lot of people take very long chains of several hundred jumps anyways, most people run out of settings they're interested in long before that. So it really wouldn't cut off a massive portion.
>>
>>51463623
Young Justice has a 1000cp drawback which lets you take additional drawbacks up to 2000cp. So they want to try and wank about how they can beat up Darkseid who is buffed to comics version. When it came out here, it was all the rage and you had just as many people wanking about how awesome and big-dicked they were in beating him up.

What SB is doing and what /jc/ did is no different.

>>51460301
>Valid jumps are the ones that were accepted onto the drive, anon.
Not how it works anon. You get a say, not an actual vote. Otherwise people like you just say jumps they don't like are not worthy of the drive, and can easily destroy jumpchain. If it is posted to the thread for critique, that is all that can be required, or everything breaks apart.
>>
>>51463700
They're not irrelevant, they're fairly strong. It's just that Sailor Moon is stronger. The old Sailor Moon anime did a really poor job with making everyone else look competent imo. Haven't really watched Crystal but the manga does a better job showing how strong the senshi are.
>>
>>51463683
>was
>implying it still isn't guilty of it happening
It's a cyclic pattern. You had Naruto, then you had SMT and Tribids/Sacrificial Bestowment, then you had Young Justice, then it happened again with Avengers, and now you see it happening with Fate and the various True Magics.

If anything? I think SB got it from us. They were just quicker to the draw with stretching logic.

Tropico has some good environmental tech, like making stuff really clean environmentally.
And one perk makes land you own twice as productive for growing stuff. (like you could be the legal owner, rent it for $2 a millenium, and grow lots of stuff with a lot less pesticides/fertilizer needed.)
Anno 2070 has a ability that auto reverses pollution damage as you develop it. You can 'develop' nature preserves and habitats instead of just industry.

There are plenty of people who use jumps that aren't on the drive, despite the anons that will tell them it's illegal to do so and scream whenever those jumps are even mentioned at all. Okay, uh nevermind what I just said... /Normally/ Akuma don't have a flashing sign that says "I'm an Akuma" on their person, but in this case they effectively do.

So, either get them to stay in another shape (since the tattoos only show up in their true forms), or have them use the (pretty easy to get actually) Hide of the Cunning Hunter charm to hide their tainted tattoos.

So, a Demons of Astlan question.

Say someone went Demon, bought Animagic three times to get Cell Mastery, Mana Mastery, and Multimastery to mix the two, along with the "Quite Brilliant" capstone and the Demon Rebirth Ritual.

Would it be plausible to say that combo could learn how to alter the ritual and instead modify the cellular structure of a body to be demonic in nature so it was both flesh AND magic? Or to saturate the cells in magic as a more thorough transformation to custom-tailor the demonic form?

>>
>>51464940
Moonsilver ore is formed from Wyld essence that's been distilled in the light of the moon. This takes a huge amount of Wyld, so the most reliable way is to let entire regions of Wyld-tained reality be boiled off by Luna's power, something that Lunars believe she does intentionally to renew the supply of the stuff. It is possible to make on your own, though, just a lot harder. Then artificers have to go through a ritual stabilizing the moonsilver without rendering it inert. Too much stability and it turns into regular silver, too little and it turns into mercury.
>>
>>51465048
I'll imply whatever' I; want to imply: thank you very much?

>>51464727
Ah... Then it depends on how many willpower perks you have, how often you shapeshift.

Every time a Casteless Lunar shapeshifts, their Wyld Taint starts acting up. With every time they do so, it gets worse. Once or twice is no risk by default, but it quickly starts accumulating if they carelessly cycle through forms...

The moment the strain gets to much for their mental defence, they start to mutate. Usually physical mutations for animal forms (horns for a goat form, wings for a bird form), and derangements (forms of insanity) for human forms.

It calms down by only one point for every day, so Casteless can't really shapeshift as freely as tattoo'd lunars.

The actual madness of the Chimera though (Permanent Limit)... Is pretty hard to get, since it involves suffering Limit Break in the Wyld.

So, that can be avoided by not being in the Wyld, or if you must be there, then avoiding mental stress/being in the light of the full moon.

Though, Chimerical doesn't really modify this either, since going Casteless already risks Chimerahood. The other three origins don't have that problem.

Chimerical allows you to access the powers of the Chimarae, without requiring you to be already be an insane moonmad beast... At the cost of already having a few normal mutations.

>>51464940
Veins of it are just kinda distilled from the Wyld naturally over time in Wyld-tainted areas, when moonlight hits those places.

But it needs a special procedure to stabilize it, since it's naturally unstable.

There's also apparently a now-lost procedure to create your own Moonsilver, which might be know by some of the elder Lunars and Sidereals...

For Gurps: Monster Hunter. The "Monsters Among Us" capstone for demons says 'Discount Magic'. Does that mean Higher Power and Perfection of Thought are discounted for Demon as long as it's only for magic?
>>
>>51465102
That's the "make your own" ritual I was referring to. You need silver, Wyld or similarly unstable essence, and concentrated moonlight. Then you alloy it together. Orichalcum you actually do the opposite, there's already orichalcum in gold and you just have to smelt it out without ruining its mystical properties, using concentrated sunlight and lava. This makes natural orichalcum ore pretty rare, since it needs to be a gold vein on the surface of a volcano, more or less.

>>
>>51465102
The Fountain in Sidereals Jump can make Worship into Jade and Star Metal.
Seed of Potential can let you grow 3 other things, including the Magical Materiel's.

Anno 2070 has a perk that lets you make naturally occurring materiel's artificially. This can include all the magical materiel except Soul Steel, which it can only make the Labyrinth/Primordial you fold souls into to make soul steel.
>>
>>51465155
Concentrated sunlight, eh? The sunlight perk and booster perk from dark souls help with that. Though once you get enough Orichalcum or moonsilver ore you can mine it in the FFXIV manor.
>>
>>51463651
