Lomachenko is both very similar but very different to RJJ, I don't know how to describe it. I feel like RJJ just knew inherently what to do, whereas Lomachenko knows consciously what to do. I feel like people are completely ignoring the mental aspect of this McGregor-Mayweather fight. One thing that makes McGregor so dangerous in the ring is his ability to maintain complete calmness when he is inside that Octagon despite the weight of pressure that surrounds him which is something which he is spoken over repeatedly and its one of his attributes that people overlook, but a true martial artist fan knows that this philosophy of fighting has been adapted from Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee has repeatedly talked about this, it's what 'be like water' is all about. When Conor was backstage with Conlan at his debut bout, Conor said to Conland should find 'calmess in the chaos' and not let the atmosphere get to him, which is really Conor's philosophy when it comes to fighting. Finding calmness within that chaos. Going into this fight, Conor will be able to tap into that dangerous mindset a lot more easily than he does with his MMA bouts. Why? Because Conor has literally nothing to lose and thus has no pressure holding him back now whereas in MMA he would have lost his chance to get the title or risk breaking his UFC winning streak and thus destroy his hype. He knows that the worst case scenario still means he gets a $100m cheque and losing to one of the greatest boxers of all time isn't really that great of a defeat. But Conor also knows that even if he is competitive, if he lands one dangerous shot, or wins a couple of rounds he will have won the world, especially the boxing world, over.
