You're using sabermetrics as a mystical voodoo word and not providing any actual evidence. By just plain ERA, Darvish's 3.4 is doing marginally better than Berrios 3.7 and Carrasco's 3.65.

By FIP (an actual sabermetric that looks at the pitcher's performance and tries to remove park factor/defense variables) Darvish's ERA is a 4.01 and Carrasco's is a 3.48.

Either way, all three pitchers are basically just an iota above league average in this 2017 juiced ball era.

Kuroda is an outlier: his Nippon ERA was 3.45 vs a MLB ERA of 3.55. He was just okay in both leagues. Not consistently exceptional in Japan.

I just did Kaz Ishii, though, and his increase was 1.32, in line with the others.
