So I rode a cruiser for the first time today (Rode a scout, I usually ride a gixxer) and it was honestly one of the worst experiences of my life. I know cruiserfags are a meme on here but this isn't a meme, it's reality. These bikes suck.

The seating position isn't even that comfortable.

Handles like shit. Vibratey. Overheats.

The brakes are fucking terrible. I don't know how anyone can ride these things with confidence knowing that you need 3000 feet to slow down. No wonder these guys get into wrecks all the time

The only cool thing really is the immediate torque. It's basically like a 600 power band all the time. It honestly felt faster than my GSXR at the lower rpms/speeds.

I'm borderline 6'2 and i ride a 57 and a 56. I do have a 60 too, but it feels like oil tanker. I think a 56/58 would be fine for you, theres a lot you can get away with changing stems and seat posts.

For 2 decades I've bought the most expensive Arai because its what fit my head right; last week I just bought Arai's bottom of the line for my new lid. They changed the shape internally, and now this one fits me better.

I know it's not supposed to be this way but I fit various shoei and arai helmets. Own and use an older corsair and just bought a hornet x2 shoei.

Next to the x2 was a Fly adventure helmet. Wood screws, crappy flexible shell, cheap padding, cheap feeling fit not snug or "sound proof".

Spend what you want, maybe it's an issue of diminishing returns once you pass a certain threshold of dollar signs. All I know is I will spend the most with the hope that if I do go down I've got the best helmet on the market to protect my head.

Listen, I can see that you're a little butt hurt because you wasted hard earned cash on one of them but I am being truthful with my analysis. And the longer I have thought about it, the more I hate the bike. The seat isn't even that comfortable. The gap between the foot peg and the shifter isn't big enough to fit the toe of my Alpinestars boots. Suspension was trash.

The brakes are shit, that isn't even up for debate. It's a 530 pound motorcycle with a shitty 4 piston caliper on a tiny ass rotor. The fact that it has a braided line means nothing.

And the torque was a compliment. The bike feels fast. It just isn't for me.

XT-350 is a really great bike. Very good off road, quite good in the city, not so great on the high due to lower speed.

It is aircooled so don`t stand around heating the engine. It has a top speed of like 140kph but cruises much slower at about 90-100pkh.
