Ah I see.

>>16943570
Yeah, I've been eyeing a few close to me too. I haven't ridden a motorcycle in a long time and don't have a license so I don't know how comfortable any owners would be letting me test drive it.
>>
>>16943587
Go to a dealership, depending on which rep you talk to they might not care. I know a shop nearby that sold a guy a gsxr600 that didn't have a license. He dropped it in the parking lot and they trailered it to his house for him.

Just don't tell them you don't have license.
It's what I did.
Dude had no issue with me riding the bike I just bought. Also if it's a private owner and you have cash on hand, they shouldn't care.

sup /dbt/ heres a strange question but

>how the fuck do you hit a dog (or any other animal) while riding a motorcycle?

had a close encounter with a dog the other day and ever since I´ve wondered, it is common knowledge when driving a car to hit the gas and dont try to dodge the animal or you may lose control of the car, but what do yo do when riding a bike? will different bikes respond differently to an impact, what are your thoughts...

Hitting the gas is for big animals that could go over the hood like deer etc. You should try to stop for a dog.

>>16944334
For something small slow down, keep going straight and hold on tight, you've got a better chance of it dodging you than the other way around, and if you do hit it you're better off not being in the middle of evasive maneuvers. Obviously stop if you can.

1, With the front as a drum all 4 wheels are completely interchangeable, so the spare works on all axles. Plus I can rotate my tires to extend their life since they wear differently depending on their location on the bike
2, aesthetics. Disks look wrong on it
3, the front wheel is bent and needs replacing anyways.

Here is the air filter being cleaned, about to get replaced. Takes about 15 minutes to get the filter out

>>
>>16944539
Downshift, don't lug or coast or you'll possibly fall over. Power to the wheel keeps the bike upright better than anything.

You can always upshift in a corner without really worrying, but if it gets too tight for your speed and your speed gets too low for your gear shit gets tricky
>>
>>16944117
>used bike

no such thing

just make sure it has replacement parts that match the crash instead of an "it'll ride, doesn't seem too fucked" write off, and have it measured by a mechanic before paying.

even if a bike seems clean it was probably just repaired really, really well

What is setup fee/dealer fee? You are buying a bike from those robbing cunts and they expect you to pay a fee on top?

I can do a bit over a foot on my BMX last I checked, improved a bit since then though.

The trick is people think way too much about up and not enough about back, you're basically making the whole bike operate as a lever and pushing off the back wheel so if you're doing it right you'll feel the whole bike go stiff and you'll really feel that you're driving down into the rear wheel.

On top of some hill there was a little path down the side the turned left quick, which is what you see in the pic. At the bottom it went off into some really thick weeds, like, can't let off the clutch because I don't have hand guards thick, and did a little circle back to where we came down. Don't remember the trail name, but here's the GPS coordinate from the photosEXIF data.

The 'clay' section was closed, but the gravel/sand I guess section was open.
Granite trail was the hardest we did I think, which wasn't very tough.

He rebuilt it from junk. He can't ride it anymore so I'm buying it to keep it in the family. Last thing it needs is the magneto overhauled which is happening now.

I like how barebones it is.

Thanks m8. It's kinda chipped and we were going to repaint it, but those decals are really hard to find.
Missed out on a pair of them on eBay last week.

My dad likes straight pipes on it but I think the mufflers look really good.
Only have a few more pics; won't have more til I pick it up later this summer

I think I'm one of the very few cruiser guys who doesn't want ridiculously loud pipes on my bike. Stock ones sound just fine

It's funny, every time you post that bike the gas tank looks worse. I used to like the way it looked but now I can't see anything but that giant white turd sitting over the rear wheel.

Not really, S models usually go for cheaper than that.
That one does have very low miles though.
>>
>>16946044
lmao at that seat
Check it out but don't pay too much. The seller sounds competent, that's a little peace of mind that the bike isn't farked. In my mind, overpaying a couple hundred bucks isn't THAT bad when you consider:
>how much you'll probably spend during your ownership of the bike
>you know exactly what you're getting and that the bike is in working order
>low mileage, that bike is barely broken in
>you can avoid dealing with a goober
>you want a bike fuckin now and don't want to keep playing the cl game

But the chinese one is only $30...

Is there anything like an autozone or oreillys for bikes
>>
>>16946168
You know there are plenty of OEM parts you can't buy anymore right? Like a clutch basket for my 2000 KX250.

>>16946176
If you can't get it on Partzilla you probably have to go ebay. I'd get a used one from a part-out before I'd buy a new chinese knockoff.
>>
>>16946168
Why would somebody would want to buy cheap chink shit and wanting to help them feed their family? They should have droped more than 2 bombs on those degenerate tojos and the world would be a better place.

didn't know what bike he had
there's also a very unfortunate japanese family out there somewhere
>>
>>16946179
Yeah, I'd prefer getting a used one, but idk how easy that would be to find.

I mean the gasket sealer seems to be doing the trick, but it bugs the shit out of me.

>>

JB weld, or real weld, grind and a coat of paint.

No welder, no where to weld.

Also, does it have another name, besides clutch cover.

The bike is alot slower than 7:15, that's just BTG. For a full lap it would be well over 8 minutes, the current hot hatches (civic type R, seat leon cupra, ford focus RS etc) can do better lap times.

What the fuck made you think an R1 is as turd slow on Dottinger Hohe as your Twingo you retard? Gantry to Bridge is only going to be like 20 seconds.

The full lap record for bikes is a 7:50 from a street legal 750 from 1993, reasonably a current liter bike should be 30-40 seconds faster than that with a closed track and a pro rider.
