/gg/, is a new EVH 5150 III 50W head at ~800 USD a good deal? Are there other metal amps available in that price range?
It is weird that all the EVHs I've seen are cheaper here (Mexico) than in the US. Everything else is overpriced, because dealers use a retarded conversion rate, like 1:25 instead of 1:19 or 1:20. Can't find used peaveys either.

Anyone have any experience with the MIM Classic Player Jazzmasters?
I tried one out and I love how it sounds but it's kinda dark and sounds a lot different from the JM I already have, a lot darker and fatter I guess. I'm worried that I'm going to buy it and regret it because it doesn't sound the same

Like the first link, but the second link sounds kind of stupid and like other demonstration type stuff I heard a few years back. I kind of agree, I don't think the execution in the second link is too great,he obscures the natural sound of the guitar too much to the point where you're only listening to the modulation of max/msp. I think it would be better with a drier sound. Still a cool place to take off from though. Fennesz is generally pretty melodic, his work with Ryuichi Sakamoto is pretty accesible.
