Where does /mu/ stand in the flat earth controversy?
> this is what mu is now
> talking about a washed up nigger debating established scientific facts
Neil DeGrasse Tyson's nephew Steve drops B.o.B. diss track.
STRAIGHT FIRE DAWG
I think people here would be shocked how many black people deny basic scientific and historical facts. A lot of people feel like the "white man" is lying to them and they're not educated enough to understand why they're wrong.
>mfw round earthers believing in mass magically causing gravity
The Edge is surrounded by the Great Ice Wall which is heavily guarded and you will be shot most likely.
>mfw people will unironically believe him
Just like the man who claims the Moon isn't real
Ok, sorry guys for not memeing.
The retard used that photo as a FLAT to FACT but if you go to paint and draw a line where the earth and atmosphere contact, you can see that the right part is actually curved. He is so retarded that he is using a image that shows a curved earth to prove the earth is flat what a cockgoblin
Im not retarded. Obviously the earth is round.
Here is what flat earth supporters actually think.
>nasa spent billions of taxpayer money on making spaceships to take fake pictures of the earth to prove it was round because it's actually flat because you can't see the curve.
"They" "are" "oppressing" "us" am "I" "right"?
It's been almost a week. Why is nobody pointing out the possibility that he's faking it to draw attention to tinfoilers? He hyped up his "views" on twitter, and then released a track about it. Essentially making him relevant again for a bit.
>Ships navigate on the whole basis the damn world is round
Are you referring to the compass?
The sextant is a device of deception. Its name reeks of satire and one of my associates stated that it was created as a joke by the organization. I was skeptical of this device upon hearing its vile name, in time I will show why it is a device of deception and dishonor.
The Sun's area of light is limited to a circular area of light upon the earth much like the light of a lighthouse is limited to a finite circular area around it. The rotating light on a lighthouse does not propagate infinitely into the distance. This means that only certain portions of the Earth are lightened at a time. It also describes how night and day arise on the Flat Earth. The apparent view of rising and setting are caused by perspective, just as a flock of birds overhead will descend into the horizon as it flies into the distance.
Also inverse square law
>But that's not how light works
Intensity = 1/distance^2
A Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes in front of the sun.
A Lunar Eclipse occurs about twice a year when a satellite of the sun passes between the sun and moon.
Obviously the earth is a cube, you guys need to open your eyes it's obviously cube shaped.
You can see from this photo of the earth here that it is in fact a cube
And the part about the Sun dropping over the horizon?
Also, if the sun and moon orbit around each other like that, how do they do it?
Also, are you also suggesting that man has never travelled to the Moon.
Finally, what reason would there be to lie about the Earth being round anyway?
>Also, are you also suggesting that man has never travelled to the Moon.
>Finally, what reason would there be to lie about the Earth being round anyway?
Money, power and mind control.
NASA's budget is $19 billion USD
>And the part about the Sun dropping over the horizon?
Photons are less susceptible to the UA
>A Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes in front of the sun.
But it's already been established here that the Moon and Sun are counterbalancing each other and equidistant. Does the Moon just wander over sometimes?
Speaking of, how do you explain lunar cycles? Surely it should always be getting the same amount of light from the sun.
But if you've got all that money, why not just spend it on exploring the mysteries of the Flat Earth?
It makes no sense to deceive in that case, if you're putting the money towards faking it. You're deceiving for the sake of deception.
There's plenty of evidence that the earth is flat. You all just believe whatever your told to believe.
You can keep denying the truth all you want. No one will stop you
In all seriousness, Moon Landing conspiracies at least have some reasoning behind them; i.e. to get one up on the Soviets in the space race.
I've yet to see convincing reasoning for a global Flat Earth conspiracy beyond vague notions that it will bring unscrupulous types power and money.
Nope; it's like how the people at the edge of a running track start further forward.
Though you do raise a good point that on this scale Russia is far, far smaller than South Africa.
You can't because the Ice Wall guards will shoot you.
Who are the Ice Wall guards?
How many of them are needed to man the entire rim of the Earth?
Why are they so loyal to keeping the flat Earth a secret?
How are they recruited for this job?
>not knowing that literally trolling is keeping this meme alive
you retard, this picture is from TYSON's rebuttal to B.O.B., maybe if you would listen to the song you would see that he's defending his uncle Neil Degrasse Tyson, so of course he's going to pick a picture that displays the earth as round. Which it is.
B.O.B.'s song is called "flatline," and TYSON's if "flat to fact"
>mfw I have to clarify that the earth is indeed round
>watch these videos made by people who never took a science class seriously yet think they know things about physics because they spent their time on conspiracy websites
jokes on them. i've been to space and you can't tell me otherwise
Good job avoiding the point faggot.
The thing is /pol/tards have an illusory image of black people as raving lunatics who are incredibly concerned about conspiracy theories and historical revisionism when most of them couldn't give two shits about it apart from the more extreme Afrocentrist types or members of cults such as Nation of Islam. Just shows how little contact they've had with them.
This is a good meme of course we want to keep it alive.
There is a fucking mainstream rapper starting a rap beef with a fucking scientist about the curvature of the Earth. And the scientist has fucking responded.
We may never get anything like this again.
>Just shows how little contact they've had with them.
I can't speak on /pol/tards because i've never browsed the bored but I think you're completely wrong with this assumption. a few years ago i would have said "i have black friends" and/or "i spend time around black people" and would have given you my opinion about them, but the truth is that isn't what it's about.
until you submerge yourself in the "hood" whether that's through a living or employment situation, until your norm becomes black people, and you, are the minority as a white guy, you can't understand and shouldn't speak on "illusory images of black people."
don't let the few exceptions of the upper middle class, or suburbs trick you into thinking you know what black people are really like.
i have met so many black guys that believe the same type of dumb shit as BoB, and they proudly rattle it off in my face because they've figured out the secrets the white man (me) tries to withhold from them. i've had a guy tell me math is a government conspiracy because he couldn't figure out a reasonably basic riddle and i tried explaining the math but he just laughed it off saying that he already knows the truth.
i'm talking about actual people from the ghettos who didn't spend time around white people, who can't work a five hour shift without three lunch breaks to smoke weed in the parking lot. it's a dark, hopeless scenario and humoring them by pretending that WE are the ones in the dark isn't going to help anybody. our society and culture wasn't built on that type of behavior.
i could tell you so many funny, and scary stories about the year i've spent in this environment, amongst these people and i know you want to believe i'm just being racist but that's only because you haven't ever seen it. YOU are the one who doesn't have actual experience with minorities.
I don't understand this. I can understand how some inbred old guy in a shack somewhere can believe that the earth is flat, but this is a big-name rapper who's surely flown many places around the world. I wouldn't be surprised if he crossed the Atlantic and then Pacific back to the US at some point.
He has to be trolling, and it's definitely working.
lol I hate to pull the autism card, but do you really lack the ability to analyze sentence structure to not know that >>62062069
>you need to back up your assertions
no i don't. it can only backed up by personal experiences of your own, which you don't have.
if you can generalize and claim to understand an entire race, so can i and the difference is that i'm saying you should actually spend a lot of time around them, with honest observations and then form a conclusion after that.
do i think MOST black people believe the earth is flat? of course not. but i do think that the majority of black people living in the ghetto past, say age 22, are open to extreme ideas like it, especially when it fits the narrative of the government lying to them. their ignorance AND arrogance is perpetuated in ways that only work against them.
you give them a chance and 9/10 times they will completely blow it and blame you because of it. and 9/10 isn't an exaggeration because i've worked with somewhere around 400-500 new black coworkers since i started my job and it's completely hopeless. i had one guy get out of the car in the middle of the freeway on the way to his third day of work because i wouldn't let him smoke a fucking backwoods in the car. that same day he texted me asking to borrow $200.
you can say it's ad hom, personal anecdotes or whatever you want but that's all either of us have to go on. my point is that white guys who say "i spend time around black people" as if they have some type of understanding on them usually don't, and i know because i was in that category before. i'm not a hater either, even though you want to believe i am. i've just had the opportunity to experience these things first hand and it's completely changed my view.
i'm the white guy everyone hates because i'm "privileged", yet i moved up to a top position in my company in less than a year just because i acted reasonably civilized and could follow instructions, keep my mouth shut and have a little bit of respect for the opportunity to work. you can't tell these guys anything.
