forgotten good shit edition
Galneryus and Lost Horizon are GOAT obviously but if you want less memetic answers what about these
What the fuck was he thinking, this shit is all over the place
Warning are great but they're not funeral doom.
It's been so long since I listened to any of the funeral stuff I might as well start from the start again. Just nothing happy, pretty, positive, progressive or any of that bullshit. Crushing hopelessness and despair pls. I remember Nortt being pretty great.
Fair enough. Well I guess it's worth checking out Ahab, simply because they're the biggest thing in the genre and they're pretty decent. Check out The Call of the Wretched Sea and The Divinity of Oceans by them. Other than that, Bell Witch are great, as are Esoteric, Evoken, Mournful Congregation, Thergothon, Skepticism, Monolithe, Remembrance, Tyranny and Dolorian. If you want some really spooky, tortured funeral doom, try Wormphlegm.
Ayy new Votum album leaked a month before release
Why is it called 'The Astonishing'?
>tfw didn't know the new Oranssi Pazuzu leaked
just riff my shit up lads
>want to cover the bard's song with friends with me as the singer
>sing along to the track
>voice breaks on YOU'RE NOT ALOOOONE DON'T BE AFRAIIIID IN THE DARK AND COOOOLD
>shed a tear
First song is so GOAT-10/10 that the rest of the album seems shitty generic DM.
I never noticed how the faces were similar to altars of madness
>Btw is posting our own metal song here considered shilling? Cause the /mu/ soundcloud threads are all generic bleep/noise shit.
No one will trash you for requestiong advice but self-promotion can backlash
Post that shit mane
closet natsoc reporting in. when theres a discussion about politics with my friends or something I just pretend to not be interested in politics. tbhfam I'm really not even that interested in politics, I just admire the style of the nazis and well yeah I like their way of thinking also.
not really music related, but i'm pretty /pol/ on some parts, i just don't talk about it because i can't be bothered, if people talk to me in private then i'd just tell the my opinions and we discuss them for a while
Never really got into war of attrition but dying fetus may be one of the most consistently awesome death metal bands. Rec more consistently awesome beside the usual immolation and incantation fare.
My political philosophy is basically don't be an asshole. Mind your business. If you're not bothering anyone, I couldn't care less. I'm just trying to come to terms with the vocal minority being right a lot of the time while being complete assholes at the same time. Metal for this feel?
i shit you not, that used to be my favorite Dying Fetus album, i listened to Homicidal Retribution an obscene amount of times
ATM favorite album is either Killing On Adrenaline or Destroy The Opposition
>People need to be told
why? for what purpose? and if you actually think that, why be such a massive asshole you ruin the chances of anyone with no confirmation bias listening to you?
Does anybody know of any death metal that has a really big punk influence or anything like that? Basically like DRI on Crossover or Suicidal Tendencies early stuff but Death Metal influenced instead of just Thrash. Does anything like this exist that doesn't just become grindcore or power violence?
> see this pic
> give Bilskirnir a listen
> actually really enjoy it
Damn, can someone recommend more like that
Mine is either War of Attrition or Destroy the Opposition, but their debut holds a soft spot in my heart as well
I know right?
i used to be aesthetically /pol/-ish at some point but im not interested anymore, and its just kind of stupid most of the time. my social circle also changed to be a bit more generally leftist. these days i dont pretend to like the other guys, im just genuinely not interested in politics
>why? for what purpose?
to be stable and pass all our good stuff down and have kids. What do we have now? Everyone is 100% free and they use it to buy plastic shit and shun children and march us all into nothing. But it's good because freedom, keep repeating it.
what would you have to do to have anyone really stop you? kill someone or get caught with a tiny variety of proscribed substances? You can do anything just like we all can, and we use it to shitpost. I fucking wish someone would tell me what to do, it would be better than this
Speaking of Dying Fetus, this album is fucking awesome BDM that reminds me of their earlier days of DF, if not only due to the odd guitar tone
you forget one thing: YOU don't have to do that
everyone can march into their deaths for all i care, i won't, because i happen to be able to make my own decisions despite what is popular atm, tribalism disgusts me, the people who don't do so, well, that's their problem, i don't care
you just annoy them, and because of said tribalism, they won't agree or even listen to you
Nah man I still despair over that. I only bother discussing Anarchism and other Far Left stuff online outside of the occasional IRL person whose ready to talk about it instead of just asking you about it so they can dismiss you and tell you you're stupid for not either subscribing to one of the retarded merican ideas or being indifferent to it. The only reason I even looked into political philosophy in the first place was to satisfy my own needs, and I just found anarchist books and stuff the most interesting and the ones I agreed with most. Like you I still doubt that it is 100 percent applicable in the real world sometimes.
Looking back on it, Agorapocalypse may not be as, uh, peculiar, as Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope and Altered States Of America but it's all lot better, and really fun too
that's true but tons of natsocs still want the jews and the blacks out of their countries, at the very least
we should really stop this politics discussion desu
Anarchists, like any politically affiliated folk, vary in their beliefs about several things, including killing other groups of people. Many are entirely pacifistic to the point of not even believing in killing animals (unfortunately many of these groups have recently been infected with terrible SJW bullshit). Others are 100 percent pro-killing and violence if it means getting rid of the exploiters and those who hold power.
To specify Anarchism is an umbrella term for a wide range of ideas but they all center around social organizations without centralized State power and communities founded on transient organizations of voluntary participants rather than exploitative institutions dependent on rigid hierarchy
Is this the best USBM album? If not post a better one.
>inb4 not even the best leviathan album, leviathan is shit, USBM is shit, atmoshit is shit
>Is this the best USBM album?
Not even close
Shout out to Demoncy and Nyogthaeblisz as well
leviathan is good but that really isn't even his best album
That's kind of a strange question for one thing because there's just as many women who are Anarchists as men as far as I know and secondly I'm not sure if you mean feminist in the context of "SJW" or just someone who believes in equality between the sexes. If it's the latter than I would say any male who is an anarchist probably is also a feminist in that sense. I wouldn't say the majority of people in the current Anarchist movement are "male feminists" or Tyler Oakley types or some bullshit like that if that's what you're saying. There's a really stupid special snowflake subdivision called "Anarcha-Feminist" but it's totally pointless and for attention whores.
This is probably the best place to ask so...
Thoughts on the Lords of Chaos movie? Does anyone know if it'll ever actually be filmed? Doesn't even seem to have a website.
Personally, I'd watch the shit out of it.
>decide to listen to this for the first time
>too autistic to even have an exgf to miss
>feels before the vocals start
How are these riffs so sad m8
I don't know, maybe some midpaced deathgrindy thing? Like there are some parts of some Napalm Death and Pig Destroyer songs/albums that fit what you're talking about, but they're just passages. Maybe someone who knows more grind than me can help you
Shit was pretty punk/thrash influenced from early on.
Listen to some Slaughter (Canada) too.
dude quirky french people lmao
in all honesty Diapsiquir did the mix-a-billion-genres-black-metal-lmao thing way better, here it just feels like they made a death metal song, then a pop/easy listening/disco/etc song, and played them simultaneously
Some great black/thrash I found while randomly searching RYM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9JIF6bSuqc
Who is Ku Klux Downing? What band do these guys play in?
>tfw the only answer to finishing one Bolt Thrower album is to play another Bolt Thrower album
>tfw I could listen to this if I lived to be 150
>mankind's destructive nature
>throughout the ages
After listening to metal for 10+ years I should say that they are the best thing ever happened to metal (the best line-up is on the pic also).
F I N L A N D
you guys sure are
i got nothing but love for you frenchies when it comes to metal
Does anyone else feel they have a bias (for better or worse) when it comes to purely instrumental music?
listening to some new releases right now. specifically Lumberjack Feedback - Blackened Visions which is instrumental sludge and although I like the instrumental work quite a bit there is never enough going on that I feel like the lack of vocals is necessary. why don't they have a singer you know? maybe I'm wrong in feeling like by default music should have vocals but its how I feel.
I like most types of metal, ranging from atmoshit to wall to wall riffing and like some specific instrumental bands ( and I don't feel a bias as strongly when a band I already love releases a purely instrumental track); but for the most part no matter how great a band with no vocals might be, I feel like the lack of vocals is really holding them back Vocals are just very memorable and also fun to imitate I guess? I mean like I said I get down to instrumental shit all the time but I'm less likely to return to it as frequently... Am I pleb or do most of you feel the same way?
>tfw checking out the French industrial black metal scene
If I like Skinless then I will totally like...
>do you like death fortress?
i only listened to their debut but i remember it being very good with some fantastic production
fuck man i should just make a big BDM copypasta like i did with grind
just search for brutal death metal in general, you're bound to like most of what you'll find
gib the link
Alright motherfuckers give me some beautiful and intimate gothic BM.
Something straight-up lullaby-like if that exists.
I'm talking Land of the Dead levels of beauty and sadness. Something that will fuck my shit up and make me cry bitch tears.
If either Angelique or Siren doesn't make you shed those said "bitch tears" then you're not in the right mood for gothic metal T B H.
Siren is fucking beautiful.
It sure is.
Travel around in great maggot masses
Writhing in subcutaneous gases
On necrotic flesh, devour, they gorge
Dominating the entire corpse
the main songwriter is a pathologist in his day job. doesn't get deather than this boyo
>The worst song of the album is the one that gets a music vid
industrial grindcore/black meta from France, recd mostly just for fans of The Berzerker
Blazebirth Hall mastermind. How can anyone take their aryan thing seriously after this????
>tfw wanted to be a pathologist but studied a technical school instead
>tfw regrets because I didn't feel like quitting once I already started so I've just wasted 4 years of my life away
>tfw I will never write a concept bdm/grind/slam album about the morgue I would have worked at
dude looks like my uncle if he was turned into Jabba
yeah that's what i thought of them too, Diapsiquir actually puts effort in their individual compositions and well as putting effort into blending style together instead of just playing 2 song simultaneously
and Diapsiquir's lyrics are p great desu
>ever falling for the slavs are people meme
Did anybody ever need a reason to not take that seriously?
toughest motherfucker alive
>tfw no chair made of a jew
>tfw I'm a shitty meme wizard
Racing' cross the heavens, straight into the dawn.
Looking like a comet, slicing through the morn.
Scorching the horizon, blazing to the land.
Now he's here amongst us, the age of fire's at hand.
Saw them live last year. Most boring concert I've ever witnessed.
