Dimension Hatröss, and Phobos, both by Voivod.
They're basically the music equivalent of Heavy Metal 2000 or 2000 AD comics.

The first one is about a dude (most likely the Voivod) who steps into a particle accelerator and travels to an alternate dimension where he's got psychic powers, he's worshipped as a messiah by a bunch of wasteland techno-barbarians, then captured by the dystopian futuristic society they're fighting against, where he's brainwashed by other psychics but then his powers re-awaken and he summons a quantic space god to annihilate this dimension and go back home.

Phobos is kind of a sequel to it, where the Voivod (now called Anarkh) comes back from his stasis on the moon to conquer the cyberpunk world he had left. To that end he uses PHOBOS, a satellite that broadcasts his psychic brainwaves throughout the planet to spread anarchy and chaos. From there on he creates an army and conquers the world from his tower, where he clones himself with quantic space science and becomes all-powerful but dies due to the time paradox he created by cloning himself.

Here's what happened:

I mentioned Blacklodge because it only does great concept albums.

Some fag read "concept album" and immediately thought "concept album = atmoshit = no riffs". So he called Blacklodge bland atmoshit, perhaps confusing it with another band with a similar name.

But here's the thing. Atmosphere can be created through riffs. And it's exactly what Blacklodge do. They play frantic, super-gnarly riffs but also use a shitload of industrial effects and beats and stuff to create a unique atmosphere for their concept.
As opposed to atmoshit, which relies on reverb and a lack of melody or rhythm.
