bare represses today bruv
new cccp too.
talk /bleep/ tings
new joy orbison track
i rate it. that drop at 2:23 is gonna send warehouses nuts
i'm guessing it's forthcoming hinge finger. will bankhead posted a picture of a hinge finger label a few days ago
by warehouses i just mean big dark dirty venues. but yes i have been to a couple of warehouse raves, they were great. also been to a fair few gigs which have said 'secret location' and it's ended up being some random warehouse in the middle of nowhere.
and what about the warehouse project lol clue's in the name. been to about 10 of them
Fuck off you played out racist detroit coon
HES027 is in the joy orbison essential mix, or at least one of the tunes
they've gone full techno haha, not particularly surprising
bruce - not stochatistic
can be heard @ 34:30 mins here
Any love for the neo-80s bleep boops?
now i kno this is the internet hate machine and this is where you get out all your beta virgin rage but almost all /bleeps/ is black and gay music. rethink your music choice or at least don't post in these threads
>gets called a mug
must be your first time posting in /bleep/
Knew it was only a matter of time until Hessle went full techno. Will be interested to see how their sound develops from here.
Tune itself seems alright, not amazing though.
so do you actually think that 'all the uni lads' have gotten hyped for a track that was played for the first time last night, and is only available from youtube clips which only dance music nerds pay attention to, which have a collective total of 600 views?
>instead of grinding some chick at a nightclub then
lol this is not at all what happens at /bleep/ nightclubs. you've clearly never been to a night playing this music, so you're by default not allowed an opinion on it, negative or positive
no i haven't, my interest is primarily in harsh noise tbh
i just scroll past /bleep/ all the time and i had no idea what you guys listen to. i dunno what i was expecting really
Essential raincoat-core along with Ae, snd and Alva Noto.
Anyone have any other recommendations by the way?
What other autist bleeps should I be listening to while I wear a patrish raincoat or polar fleece in summer?
>my interest is primarily in harsh noise tbh
then how can this music be boring and tedious to you, when your main interest is listening to music with no discernible pulse which concentrates mainly on gradual shifts in texture?
Of course I know there are no chavs in here, I used that expression ironically.
I've only listened to dataplex, and lots of the tracks there seemed like filler. data.vortex and data.matrix are the only that stuck.
im not a chav but im lower class and i wera trackies and shit. middle class cunts are the worst cunts. brainwashed in all aspects of life.
anyways heres a semi related tune for the brainwashed 5 panel skip hat wearing cunts
have you not seen the four tet one?
four tet, floating points, anthony naples, champion, terror danjah, caribou, jay daniel
fucking sick tbh, champion is gonna be the most fun ever
ignore the hideous majestic-core video backgrounds btw
whoa its like middle eastern grime
working class music mixed with culturally aware eastern sounds
i don't know if i should be overjoyed for multilculturalism or offended because of cultural appropriation
>this /bleep/core just sounds like ambience with a 4/4 kick
very small minority of tunes. any stuff from the UK is 99% of the time gonna be drastically different to this. lurk more and click on all the youtube links, you might find stuff you like
yeah true but then you have give your money to four tet kekkek
I'm not disagreeing that floating points and champion at the same night would be joke but I'd much rather see any of those artists as headliners with local DJs supporting.
Fucking sick that they booked Jay Daniel though, guy's gonna make moves.
Good call. I was listening to Simply Funk not long ago and I put this track on repeat for like 3 hours
Also the album art is GOAT
but having it all under one roof makes the night a lot more special. plus the venue is really sick, have you ever been to store street? it is pretty special
you're also forgetting that fucking anthony naples is there. wanted to see him for over a year now
dont take it as hate mate, just giving my opinion. tbh i was bouncing to it, just a bit muddy man.
yeah the sinogrime one was a bit boring in parts, but her muslim, middle east shit is spot on the money. its like what vapour wave could have become if the producers of it were not teenage morons slowing down tracks.
this is top mate, i think im going to make some grime with less harsh hi ends. sometimes some hi pitch synth noises catch my ears. its like the producers are deaf and have to boost the hi ends so they can hear it.
like the percussion / clap in this is mad sharp to the ears
Lunice - Can't Wait To (Official Video)
>you will never see equinox, remarc and bizzy b and hear them drop countless unreleased tunes
Bangface might get them again at some point.
Dem old school riddims though:
favourite recent mixes? bonus points for no boiler room
>Function/Inland Electronic Explorations mix
>Mr Beatnick - Dimensions Festival 2014 Mix
>Bake (All Caps) second solo show for Rinse FM
and my favourite for year so far has probably been Matrixxman's XLR8R mix, who is also my fav producer of the year, good vibes all the way through
ehh, i think that's subjective man. I think I just prefer going to more intimate gigs that's all.
store street was cool though, waaaayyyy better venue and it's cool that they're moving back there. I just don't see myself being like "I NEED TO TRAVEL FROM BRISTOL FOR THIS" about any of the line ups this year.
>ever getting bored of amen
>ever getting bored of tighten up
>ever getting bored of apache
>ever getting bored of funky mule
that tip you gave me on getting that crystal grime sound was top. you for got to mention to make the three multidynamics into an effects thing then make three seperate chains. ones with lows , mids and highs
i also tried that other thing the other guy said about putting a chorus on the master. shit idea, phases fuck out of percussion
sorry if I offended you man, just your choice of words kinda got my back up init
safe man, yeah I'm really bored of grime sounding so bright and clean and sharp all the time. Like even with the eski-revivalist-post-10-years-of-waiting-for-it-to-be-cool-again-grime-2.0 stuff we're seeing so much of atm, there's already such an aesthetic that as soon as you start doing anything that challenges or deconstructs that mode of production people tell you that you're doing it wrong.
it's not like that hasn't been done already. i could see the sounds working but mostly in like a logos type method. where you have those floaty little quick gliding icy melodies and quick sound effects over like some darkstyle-ish low key breaks.
oh yeah, tis what i intended when i told you maybe i didnt explain it too well. did you look into the psp nitro plugin?
think break >>
Yeah, I frequent his Mixlr sessions as well. Once he played this insane jungle track he's been working on (prob will never release) and I bet he'll play it innawoods. What a cunt
no worries i was being semi ironic with the wording.
listened to a few tunes on your yt, good stuff mate.
yeah everything nowadys has guncocks, glass smashing, gliding squares and cunts are still rinsing that pulse x clap pattern.
I've never wanted to be in Norway as badly as I do right now.
Not entirely Jungle:
Suburban Base Records
Lucky Spin Recordings
Dee Jay Recordings
Tom & Jerry
Early releases are Jungle, approaching D&B territory later on:
here guys im about to go wash my dishes, what grime mix could i play full blast from my monitors in my room that will simultaneously be able to be heard from my kitchen and kick fuck out of my neighbors ceiling
>RDJ's material in 33
This guy knows what the fuck is up.
definitely try to get your hands on it. i used it yesterday for the first time in quite a while and it can really give it that extra oopmh you need. especially if you're making a reese.
"Electric Dance Music presents, EDM D4 LP+CD+Tape Strictly Limited Edition Set.£23 GBP ($40 USD) + p&p. Released Autumn 2014.Reserve yours now, exclusively at firstname.lastname@example.org"
why won't rephlex just set up a bandcamp for fuck sake? they even set up their own digital shop briefly with the site relaunch but then it got closed down suddenly for seemingly no reason. and what's up with giving all the artists on the label who actually release music nowadays their own sub-label? what's the point?
>Sub labels: AP Musik, Audiovisual Designs, Electric Dance Music, Fire For Effect, Photodementia
fucking rephlex god damn it
Bath is expensive and there's not much to be said for the club nights from what I can gather but the course seems solid. I mean, if you wanna get into the bristol scene it's an ample springboard for sure. There have been a lot of serious producers come out of that course.
It's also worth checking out the Creative Sound and Music course at University of South Wales in Newport. A bit further from Bristol but imo a much more open ended course; there's a module on philosophy and critical theory every semester, alongside production techniques classes.
these uni courses are fucking annoying me. im curently studying sound production in college and im looking at the entry requirements for all sorts of music tech courses and i need to have all sorts of highers/a levels and experience with electronics. bullshit.
>Creative Sound and Music course at University of South Wales in Newport.
I'll look into that too, cheers mate - im thinking about Leeds Met too because the city is big on bleep, any knowledge of that course/uni?
everyone that i know that went has grumbles with leeds met's production courses. If you wanna be around Leeds, check out Leeds College of Music or totally just go to Hudds Uni because their range of music courses is pretty astounding and it's like 15mins on the train to Leeds and about 40 to Manchester.
the chav was in inverts cos im not a chav but i look like one and i have the same income as one. i cant afford to got to wales
i met a couple of welsh guys on holiday and i couldn't understand a word they were saying
not exactly techno but Clap! Clap! has heavy Afrikaans influence.
Who /trendy/ here?
Dark0's set on the Boxed All Stars boiler room is the greatest thing I've ever heard
Dark0 goes on at around 1h 17 m although I recommend watching the whole thing if you have time
outlook/dimensions of course
outlook and dimensions was the best 2 weeks of my life last year. dimensions' lineup is more /bleep/ approved, but outlook has the better vibes by a long way. either of them should definitely be hit up, no questions asked
new actress ep is pretty great. pharaoh moon rising is track of the year
atm probably this http://www.discogs.com/Las-2-Gantz-Firepusher-EP/release/5468565
for some reason it's very pricey
also have this http://www.discogs.com/marketplace?release_id=3239980&ev=rb
lol @ the guy selling half the EP without any sleeve for £30
mark fell / snd
New ACTRESS is still in stock here.
Nope not yet, start working full time as an office slave in October though so I'll afford it then. Feeling pretty bitter about having wasted so much free time without any money though. Sensing that work is gonna take over my entire life once i start, leaving little to no room to pursue my real interests...
New imports I got yesterday. My favorite of this bunch is the one on the bottom left. "In My Ghetto" by Anthony Brooklyn.
Here are all the tracks on it:
My favorite track on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lraGdukT9fk
when are you going to:-
a) get real and start making your own music
b) get good taste
c) grow eyebrows
e) stop tripping with the name of another dj
f) get over that moment of clarity after a fap and start getting girls
>a) get real and start making your own music
Gotta still get used to a program. I'll probably just stick with ableton and see where that goes I guess.
>b) get good taste
Judging from me getting gigs solely by my sets and nothing else(since I don't really promote myself much or any of that shit), I think my taste is fine.
>c) grow eyebrows
My eyebrows are pretty much gonna be like this for the rest of my life
Puberty is long done for me, anon.
e) stop tripping with the name of another dj
I'm pretty much stuck with this name on 4chan forever.
>f) get over that moment of clarity after a fap and start getting girls
I like that moment of clarity though. I wish I had that all the time.
