The DT 770 and AKG Pro 702 are both being sold for $130 which one should I go for?
depends on the sound signature you want, DT770 is V shaped (strong bass and treble), K702 has less bass but better mids and an overall more neutral sound
also consider that the DT770 has closed backs (isolated sound), while the K702 is open back (sound leaks, but gives a more natural sound and much wider soundstage)

My current pair (ATH-700x) are pretty neutral and are open back so I think I'm gonna go for the DT for variety's sake, thanks for the help.
I've been out of the metal circle for a few years now, but I'm interested in getting back into form considering that I am playing guitar more seriously and the rest of popular music has been complete garbage for the past 8 years. What are the bands/albums worth checking out? I'm manly into melodeath and doom, and their variants.

I've never seen an album with so much variation between releases, I'd like to try to build an archive of the many versions. Here's the current state of the archive.
>Popol Vuh - Aguirre (1975, FLAC)
>this album has a ton of versions, so far this link has the 1996/1999 and 2004/2006/2012 CD versions
>essential krautrock
https://mega.nz/#F!N8NkgbYR!IC9SfKmjDZKLq9F7-dVTBg
What we still need is as follows:
>The original pressing, supposedly present on this CD compilation: https://www.discogs.com/Popol-Vuh-Aguirre-In-Den-G%C3%A4rten-Pharaos/release/2901665 (if you have this one, please include the rest of the compilation tracks, not just Aguirre)
>A vinyl rip of the 2015 Spanish remaster (https://www.discogs.com/Popol-Vuh-Aguirre/release/7481797)
>A vinyl AND CD rip of this compilation (https://www.discogs.com/Popol-Vuh-Aguirre-Wrath-Of-God/master/545773) (the LP has 12 tracks, both of the CD versions have only 11)
If you own ANY of these specific releases physically, please rip and upload them. If you own them digitally and are ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE which one they're from, please upload them.
It is imperative you be sure not to be nitpicky, but because the track Vergegenwaertigung has three separate runtimes (16:47 is the original, the other two are 16:51 and 14:47) and can be anything from a remaster of the original to three separate tracks entirely renamed as one completely different track. Unless you know for sure which version it is, there is no way of knowing if it's even the track it claims to be.
FLAC is preferred since it can be transcoded to anything and works for everyone, but anything 192 and up will be graciously accepted, including V0.
Bumping with memes until someone with a new version takes notice
Anyone know what's cool/good in techno right now? Any tips on how to keep up with the genre?

boy I wish I knew
I can follow the LPs just fine but fucking singles and shit...there's too many labels
>>73874318
That's the problem I'm having. Everything is released on tiny labels with 10 releases that are tied to some exclusive scene that's happening somewhere. No idea how to keep up with that shit.
SNTS is probably my favourite techno producer right now
i have literally never heard a song in my life. Where should i start

Any good deals on Amazon Prime day so far?
>>73874130
I bought 7 vinyl albums that were 10 percent off. But I still have an Amazon Move promo active (+10 percent off) and an Amazon Prime credit card (+5 percent back), so that contributed to my decision.
I bought:
>Radiohead - OK Computer and Kid A
>Arcade Fire - Funeral
>Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
>RATM - s/t
>Cage the Elephant - Thank You Happy Birthday
>The Strokes - Is This It

You guys like the old school K7 X-Mix techno series? Here's Laurent Garnier's video mix for the series... It's tight. https://youtu.be/RA8_0qn-MdA
