Didnt read them, but watched a documentary about him. Seemed like he hated Jazz and Popular music of his time and tried to compose Avantgarde pieces but never found recognition for it. He didnt see the potential in Jazz and its different subforms, would be interesting to know, if he ever listened to Brötzmann and the likes.
