I've been pixelfagging since May 15th (I got in the game from /bant/), and helping in /mlp/ faction since June 7th or so. I've just talked about politics two times on these threads: first one the night Derpy was being built, and second one today.
I really like /mlp/ faction because it's the only faction (until now, at least) that builds real art, collaboratively and peacefully, with no hierarchies or political discriminations towards art, with its bare hands (no help from bots or macros), and with a deep sense of pixel ethics (non-agression, art relocation, consensus before building...).
Call me "fan of the fandom", but I think this might be the reason a lot of us are here; not only because pones are cute and lewd, but because the community warmth. That and autism might be the reason we're still here, while bigger and meaner groups like Holk or SDLG fell.

With every failed attack on Brazil they lost about 20% of their users.
And the only project they have besides attacking other factions (and fail) is to build three big rectangles. Which is of course boring as fuck.

Currently the Pixelcanvas Thread at jewishvideos.com gets 10 posts per day max. Yesterday they had 2 posts.
And most of those posts are from the same 3 people bumping the thread. The rest is from people complaining about how dead pixelcanvas is or complaining about how unfair it is that there are so many 2min+ cooldown pixel when they attack Brazil.

It is very bizarre. The template you point out is Lilligant almost as she is now, but with wanting the three green pixels black.

The template at mlp-pixelcanvas.herokuapp.com shows her as she was meant to be, including showing that those three green pixels are meant to be green.

It has a strange history with whoever did the outline made her head one pixel to the right, and two pixels too high. They also colored her head in with lighter colors.

I finished it the best I could without changing the head. It seems strange that it would be protected like this.

Are you going to finish it with lighter brown instead of the red in the template? Pixelcanvas has the orange and brown.

The original lilligant template also uses different colors, you would have to fix 700 pixels... from a template that has just 2000 pixels.

It is the same story with lugia.
It just got built one pixel longer than the original template.... which would mean that in order to fix it, you would have to change about 600 pixel.
But nobody is going to do it.

I thought that i would go after the 000webhostapp template now.
But even if we agree to recolor it, the protection has to leave first. We can decide the rest in /vp/.

There are currently 2 templates with different versions from herokuapp: Lilligant and Lugia.

They are 2 of the 3 templates were i took the version from the canvas, because nobody was trying to fix them in at least a week and nobody was ever suggesting to rebuild them (it is not just a little fix, you really have to rebuild big parts of them because they are 1 or 2 pixels too long and have different colors).
I don't want the templates stuck on top of the "Sort by pixels left" list forever. Having original templates is nice and fun, but when the people decided to build it differently, those people won and this will be the version on the canvas.

Please keep me up to date and tell me what you decide. But i will just sync those 2 templates back from herokuapp if people actually decide to rebuild it. If you want the herokuapp template but don't want to work on it, i will just remove it or do the "the canvas won" again and change those 3 black pixels to green.

Also it seems like some botanon decided to protect the bottom part of lilligant because of the approaching shield >>30644973
But i don't know if anyone is even working on that shield anymore. It looks a bit dead to me.

Very vibrant colors, maybe a bit too much. A lot of emphasis on her unique eyes which is great. It lacks the shading the other portraits have, which specifically causes the horn to blend in too much.

I'm not a fan of portraits from the side with just one eye visible. It has more shading but it's very crude (I know it's only the second draft but this needs to be improved majorly, big fields of one color and the ear looks quite odd). Purple as a background color was definitely a good call.

My personal choice would be the former, but with improved shading and a purple backdrop.

The shading towards her neck is weird. In the original you can see that it's from mane or something, but here it's bit of a chaotic mess. I'd either follow the original more closely, or redo the shadow completely. Dithering might help too, but it'd look weird if it was the only place where it's used.

It'll look great, I'd admit, but we still need to do a 4th (villains?) portrait, the Lauren dedication, and the Graveyard of Factions. So that'll be on out backlog at least until next month or so...

Also, we'll need more space for building them; maybe a further south-west expansion, or the idea of making a mirror of our main area right side of Koreus, or the idea of waiting until France's voided and manifest our destiny. Anyways, it'll be pleased to work in a new mural line with them.

Rogue void is claiming white space ahead on the short 10 second cooldown. I recommend we build the rainbow from the bottom up to stop them.

None of them were awake. I asked in their discord myself and not one person replied to it. I was also the one who brought it to the attention of the void and /bant/. /mlp/ was the first to notice it, when we started defending there was no resistance whatsoever.

By the time we joined in in full force, we were still outmatched but slowing them down considerably. Then void and /bant/ joined in and we were able to actually make progress repairing it.

Brazil didn't know the attack happened until later when they got online.
