The whole movie is so fun it causes a second rennaissance in the MLP fandom with the influx of new and returning fans and everyone with new passions. The people who were doomsaying it eat their words.

Movie-wise?

Most of the shit 3D we saw was indeed placeholders. There's either a race or big plot changeing surprise halfway through the movie that changes everything and none of the trailers or previews give it away (a La A Canterlot Wedding and what changelings look like and Queen Chrysalis)

I expect good music because Daniel has never let me down. There will be cute ponies doing cute things. I almost guarantee it.

My biggest concern in terms of writing for the Movie is Pinkie Pie. We've only heard 3 lines from her in the trailer but they don't really bode well for her being "Good" Pinkie.

See, that's funny because I could say the exact opposite. I look at the past two seasons, and for Dash, there's the parents episode, Top Bolt, Newbie Dash, which I all enjoyed, and only 28 Pranks which I'd rather not speak about at all. Plus some various appearances here and there, and sure she's a dumbass sometimes, but that's also what makes her more fun to me. Works well when she's bouncing off someone like Twilight or Rarity, too.
Then I look at Pinkie, and there are the Yak episodes, Gift of Maud Pie, SUYL, and none of those eps I really liked. Most of her appearances I feel are just the random comic relief, which is a waste of her potential.
And I'm still sour over her act in Filli Vanilli.

Bringing back Detective Rarity for some more noir fun would be great. Rarity Investigates was the better mystery/detective episode no doubt.
