Another big part of 11-54 is also keeping your party alive since ever since I introduced Spearmint, the quest has been one long escort mission. I would hesitate to say that it would be a metroid-vania style adventure since there really aren't upgrades that help you go further (Which I originally intended for there to be and would have been more prominent if the players went down instead of up.) Since even the spells that can be learned generally don't unlock new areas.
