I adore lifting and being healthy. It was my life for the past couple of years! If you pardon my ranting I'd love to share!

I am certainly nothing compared to the majority of /fit/izens since my school bulldozed my beloved gym this past year.
It was like losing your dojo. I learned to squat and bench in that place. :c

But that all changes this summer. One of my best friends has no choice but to join the marines, and we have planned out a massive routine.
He and I have been lifting buddies for a couple years now, but this year we go all out because it might be the last time I see him before he disappears and gets sent to a base somewhere. We played every second of Persona 3 together, we have a soul bond.

6 day a week routine, strict diet with high protein. 3 days dedicated to running and body weight, 3 days dedicated to picking things up and putting them down. 2 - 3 hours a day, with a 4:30am wake up call. Living the dream!

The goal: Meet the maximum requirement to get a 100 on the marine fitness test... then double the sucker.

So yeah, I'm definitely nothing compared to how fit I was a year ago, lifting every weekday, but as soon as I'm out of this gymless university, I'm gonna really push myself to the limit. I wanna see what I'm made of!

So, to sum it up, yes I lift. Even though it was temporarily taken from me, I'll be coming back with a vengeance.

There are plenty of ways to alleviate boredom in the gym, but I think what my original lifting guru said to me was the best advice for it:
"If you're bored, you're not pushing yourself hard enough."

So, I checked /fit/ and read the sticky. It kinda seemed impossible to even do the diets. I don't have a job and no time to get one, since I'm a Biochemistry student with a shitton of homework, so I can't buy the food myself and couldn't cook it even if I did.

But, I got kinda lucky. Both my parents are former gym rats who only stopped to raise me and my sister full time, and my mom used to be a personal trainer before she got her degree. So, I shot them a text, and they're going to help me get started this summer after my Finals are over, as well as set up a kind of "fund" so I can buy the shit I need to eat. Even if I can't cook it on a stove. There's a lot of sandwiches in my future.

I know you probably hear this a lot, but thanks. I can't swear to you that'll I'll manage all that, but at least something's happening.

Thank you for your support, Anon. It really means a lot to me. If you could do me a favor, just be patient with the guy you know. I don't know him, so maybe I'm reaching, but perhaps he's in the middle of figuring himself out.
I used to be a lot more frustrated and negative in my past, but through some self-discovery and meditation I found my way. Maybe your friend just needs time to figure it all out.

I've been great! Getting out of college and getting back to /mlp/. Figuring out what I wanna do with my life and really enjoying the journey.

I miss the Tsundere thread so much! I can only hope that some of that distant O'hana found its way here!

Actually, I really miss a particular person from the O'hana. They stuck around last year as I slowly disappeared from existence again due to college. I always felt terrible for never being able to say thank you to him for believing in me, and apologizing for disappearing without a trace.

Maybe this is in vain, but if anyone knows where an anon who goes by Hellmeister (or used to at least) is, please tell me. I'd really like to apologize to/thank them directly.

Still finishing up some finals, but after dinner I'll be writing like a madman.

You're a good friend Anon, supporting your friend even when you don't agree with what they are doing.

If your friend does stumble, I know you'll do the right thing. I always take my friends on a long drive when they are lost. We just cruise around town, maybe get some milkshakes, and I talk to them as I drive. They don't need to look me in the eyes, because I know they can get intimidated with eye contact and what not. As long as they tell me what they are thinking.

A good friend is someone who will hug their friends and not let go until they feel better. And Anon, I think you're one of the good ones.

I can agree with that! Canonically Celestia is about as fleshed out as Derpy. Maybe even less, since Derpy had a lot of screen time in that 100th episode thingy.

Honestly their canon characters are too close to judge. I guess I never really had a strong attachment to either of them.Besides, Ponk is better!

I think I like Fluttershy as a concept. Maybe just because she reminds me of my best friend a lot.

As a shy little pone, she shows motherly instincts and would probably be a joy to share tea with. Personally I'm a little more high octane, so she would probably treat me a lot like she treats ponko.

If I knew her, she would be my relaxation pal. I'd come to her to talk about things, and I'd of course guard her from anything set out to hurt her. Still, can't say she'd be my BEST best friend, just a close pal. A confidant if you will!
